Not the only one with Celtic ancestors feeling the boil within the blood. I have Scottish, Welsh and Irish forebears. Of course their bloodlines are mixed with my Germanic, Nordic and French ancestors too.
I am an Elgin, we are a Sept of Clan Bruce. All of our family reunions in the New World are the Elkins( Brits couldn't spell) and Bruce. We live in the mountains of North Carolina.
@@scottelkins5813I recently found out I am descended from Clan Logan, can't remember exact names offhand, but he was killed by The Moors in Spain carrying Robert The Bruce's heart to the Holy Land for burial. His descendant was Scottish Secratary of War, and his descendant was implicated after his death in the plot to kidnap King James IV. Still learning my ancestery, but so far it's a crazy story.
The day I got my DNA test results and found out that (contrary to what I'd been told) I was mostly Scottish was one of the happiest days of my life and confirmed what I'd know already in my soul for more than six decades.
@Marcus Porter I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean by "the original". I only had the one DNA test done through Ancestry. How many have you done?
Ahh ya lucky bastard if I weren't so afraid of them using my donation of blood to catch me I might be interested enough to double check what my family been telling me all along. The first time I saw some of the videos form this group, I had to pick my jaw up. First, the music, it speaks to my core, to my inner being. Second, Mr. Lamb could be my father's twin. Not only in looks, but in mannerisms shown. But then, there's the music. I can never say enough about the music.
Here in canada the Bagpipes are a pretty popular instrument (A lot of canadians are of scottish descent) I don't have an ounce of Scottish blood in me personally (I'm Italian and Danish) but i learned at an early age to love Bagpipes as an isntrument. They really are an instrument that brings out a certain patriotic fervor no matter what time of the day you hear them.
Bella your comment made me laugh and cry at the same time. I am a metis/Scottish woman from Canada but I feel what you described so often. @@fenrirrising131 Associating Scandinavian pride with Celtic pride is appropriation my friend, not identifying the other culture is what makes the statement offensive.
If anyone offended by this statement listened to a comparison between Scottish and Icelandic (the tongue presently most associated with the old Viking dialects, that of the Scandis' ancestors), we'd all agree with you the same! I can definitely vouch for your connection to this music, the Scots and the Vikings were quite neck and neck in how fiercely true they stayed to their roots until the old world began to change - and even now those that feel that same blood coursing through their veins find a way back to their passion for the culture. Good on you!

Somehow this video landed on my recommendation list and what a suprise...I actually have seen this guys playing in the streets when I visited Glasgow 10 years ago. Glad to know their name now!
Whenever I hear the pipes, I am always brought back to that past life and I am filled with longing to see Scotland again.
When you hear this music from the other side of the Hill.....you better RUN!!!
😊👍👍👍👍
Doesn't stop people like me hahahah😂
@WOLFASULF 😁
@ImreFrater I am judged but I'm a surviror and hold down honor
This music calls to me. It brings remembrance and soothes my soul.
One class act. I have never seen or heard music as intense as this. Legends.
Born Eastern European, grew up in England and fell in love with Scotland and the pipes. These people are absolutely amazing! Greetings from Vienna, Austria :)
I like the older gentleman, grooving to the beat. Awesome guys, great job!
this guy is my age and still grooving it - {former bass player here}. NEVER STOP DOING WHAT YOU LOVE!! keep on - keeping on bro!
This is the music that touches one’s heart and soul ... proud to be a McKenzie
I'm MacLeod of Harris, look up our wonderful relationship in the old days.
I have always loved this music; I feel it from the top of my head to my toes. One day I wish to go visit and see my family history and experience this in person.
i am of Scottish decent living in Australia, can feel my Scottish blood boil when i hear this music, nothing beats it. Scotland forever!
This and AC/DC
@@williamlane5776 This is way better &'like the ANCIENT AC/DC,, now, makes me wanna listen to Viking rock too
Not the only one with Celtic ancestors feeling the boil within the blood. I have Scottish, Welsh and Irish forebears. Of course their bloodlines are mixed with my Germanic, Nordic and French ancestors too.
Old Mate, you need to get to the Maclean and Glen Innes highland festivals in NE NSW. Been every year for ages, one hell of a good time.
@@madmick3794 the GI one is going to be incredible this year! Bring it on!!
Of all the Clanadonia line-ups this is the best one IMO. Great to watch and listen.
Music is part of my soul. When I hear the pipes I stop and listen intently. Beautiful instrument!
Everytime I see a Clanadonia vid I love it- love the way the beat goes right through you. Fabulous guys thanks for your energy
I accidentally stumbled upon them about a year ago, now my dream 😴 is to visit Scotland and see them in person, I love them💜💙
AM A SCOTTISH PATRIOT AND BRUCE , WALLACE , MARY AND ROBERT WULL BE SO PROUD OF YOU LADS , KEEPING OUR DREAM ALIVE FOR A INDEPENDENT SCOTLAND 🏴
I’m proud to be Scottish. Even though I am Polish
Close enough. And same here as a Finn.
😝😝👍🏻
Montgomery clan saying Hi
@Florian Capaldi im half blod Polish and half blod Scottish whisky 🧐
The Fleming clan is here as well.
From the moment I saw this lineup, I knew it was going to be fucking awesome.
The day I got my DNA test results and found out that (contrary to what I'd been told) I was mostly Scottish was one of the happiest days of my life and confirmed what I'd know already in my soul for more than six decades.
@Marcus Porter It was an Ancestry DNA test kit I received as a gift.
@Marcus Porter I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean by "the original". I only had the one DNA test done through Ancestry. How many have you done?
Same here, descendant of a Scottish king
Ahh ya lucky bastard if I weren't so afraid of them using my donation of blood to catch me I might be interested enough to double check what my family been telling me all along. So I'll just listen to what I love and let them try and prove what they suspect me of. It's a joke son. No implants in my kids either governments getting to big brother for me.
Every cultic music is based in earth.
Proud to be Scottish and love the pipes. I’m married to an ex Scots Guard and my soon to be 8 year old grandson is starting lesson to play the pipes.
Excellent I'm celt thru and true, the pipe always bring tears. And the drum are great jam. Thanks guys. I love it.
the old man looks like he's out of a videogame.
The music is great. this is great
Planken there is nothing "old" about him. He is immortal and full of the fire.
Maybe...but he shaves his pits, eh.
Definitely looks like a Nord from Skyrim. I always thought Nords were more like Celts because of the tatts.
I was thinking of warband before you said this hahah.
this comment made my day :D
Wish I could put in earbuds and listen to them at work. The day would go by so fast.
Thanks to all of you and great job for traditional music !! Just so amazing and great job !! One more time 👏👏 👍👍👍👍 😉
I'm just a Mexican woman laying in bed crying at something so powerful words can't begin to describe.
No mames guey yo también
No just , be proud of your people, all people should be proud we must restore every clan to it's nature of pride and Respect for their homelands
Scottish and Irish had tribes in Spain so Mexicans have some Creole blood from them.
IGUAL YOO
Bella your comment made me laugh and cry at the same time. I am a metis/Scottish woman from Canada but I feel what you described so often. It's like you can feel the heart, and the passion and it brings you joy and pride even when it's not your culture. It's just something indescribable but as a human you understand and feel the joy of it
No recording / playback can ever do justice to this music, you have to feel it live compressing your chest with each stroke.
Their dress clothes, the way they feel the tone coming out of their instruments, and the way they hype everyone up 👊🏽🔥
The thump of those drums are powerful when you hear them live
Being of Scandinavian descent, I can totally understand they're pride. Keep the old Gods alive.
So Scotland is primarily Nordic is it now? 😂
@@Shaniflewog reading comprehension,you need it.
@@fenrirrising131 Associating Scandinavian pride with Celtic pride is appropriation my friend, not identifying the other culture is what makes the statement offensive.
Y follow gods that need resuscitation?
If anyone offended by this statement listened to a comparison between Scottish and Icelandic (the tongue presently most associated with the old Viking dialects, that of the Scandis' ancestors), we'd all agree with you the same! I can definitely vouch for your connection to this music, the Scots and the Vikings were quite neck and neck in how fiercely true they stayed to their roots until the old world began to change - and even now those that feel that same blood coursing through their veins find a way back to their passion for the culture. Good on you!
Call of my ancestors!! I love this music!!
I trail run to this, love it--very motivating when you're trying to run up a steep, rocky grade--exhilarating!
Dude on the far left: "Wish they'd let me play loud..."
technically.....hes on the right
@@DustynLRVK lol, you are correct.
@@FirstLast-zv5od hahahaha
There's no small parts
Well...that may actually be the dilemma, why they are driving in the wrong side of the road...
The oldest man is a beast and the most Scottish of them all hahaha
NO - A LIMEY I'M AFRAID
That old man reminds me of a viking for some reason
he is lad, he is...
Yeah…for SOME reason!
This man just 43 , ha ha, I'm guessing
Many Scott's have viking genes..
xxweeman92 indeed, look at the Geography of Northern Scotland and the Scandinavian countries
I'm not Scottish...I'm Irish, but damn, the pipes and the drums stir my Celtic soul!
This makes me miss Scotland so much. U guys are amazing. Thanks putting a smile on my face every morning. Wales is a sunnier place after i listen to u with a cuppa.xx
Gentleman, that was absolutely amazing. Great music and I love the enthusiasm. My ancestors are from Scotland, so it's nice to hear music from my culture. Keep up the good work.
Absolutely love watching and hearing them play. Sounds so ancient and tribal. 😊❤️
It's fun, but the old Highland clan music was nothing like this. It was the British army, after the clans were destroyed, that mixed drums and bagpipes together. You want to hear the ancient bagpipes of war from the 17th Century? It's this: th-cam.com/video/4JrsySg1AHk/w-d-xo.html.
Infinitely stranger.
Love your gig! Nice eye candy as well! Nicely done.
"We also play weddings, graduations and bar mitzvahs."
LMAO
Rome: "We're gonna conquer the world!"
These Guys: "Nope."
NONONO that was the picts not the scots...your a nation made up of, irish, english, french/norman and scandinavians...FREEDOM!!
Christ will take care of Rome Armageddon.
Run ancient Roman's, run .
@@offal You makes an excellent point! I found a book called "The Picts and the Scotts" which is dense, but explains this topic! Also I had one about the history of Scotland, which said first it was warring tribes, fighting each other naked in the snow. Then Romans came along, so they united to fight a common enemy.
@@spmoran4703 The Romans DID run, and the Picts followed for 200 miles! Apparently their attitude was "We're not done kicking your arses yet!" 🤣That's why the Romans built Hadrian's wall!
Brilliant as ever! I can't be the only one who whoops at the end? Love these guys. Powerful stuff.
This is NOT freak music, this is fantastic music, if you dont like it, dont watch it, easy peasy
