I think it sings to any soul connected to the forces of nature. Vikings are built tough to be able to navigate the violent Norse sea; especially in winter. This music personifies the fierceness of both man and nature.
Norwegians don't have souls. They are Northern demons with ice in their veins, nails of hardened steel , and teeth of volcanic obsidian. Their only weakness is love for Swedish furniture , cars, and food. In fact GOT Winter King and White Walkers were modeled on Norwegians.

Blood pumping is true for me too! I can feel the adrenaline flowing. I'm a half-breed, sorta... On my mom's side, I'm a descendant of the Inupiaq people. My mom always claimed "blue blood royalty", since her family history goes back over 3000 yrs. My grandmother explained that we have 3 Coat of Arms under the Hildreth name, so on my dad's side, I am part Dutch, Irish, English, German, Mongol, and Viking. The surname Hildreth was first found in Berkshire, where the family name was first referenced in the year 1375. I also think grandma had a way of seeing history, that made us all capable of not seeing race as an issue because, if you went back far enough you could find relatives in common with just about anyone. She blamed that on how far and wide Genghis Khan's armies spanned, and Alexander the Greats armies. It was because of her I had no pride of race other than "Human".
Olaf the black "prince of Norway, king of the heberties iles" was the founder of my Scottish clan, I wear the tartan of the Scotland records books proud, but my blood is of the Norwegian conquerors. I'm American but my heritage is still in my heart

wow -i know nothing about the Viking homelands, but if that's the landscape, this music does an incredible job of paying it homage.

My mom always claimed "blue blood royalty", since her family history goes back over 3000 yrs.
My grandmother explained that we have 3 Coat of Arms under the Hildreth name, so on my dad's side, I am part Dutch, Irish, English, German, Mongol, and Viking.
The surname Hildreth was first found in Berkshire, where the family name was first referenced in the year 1375.
I also think grandma had a way of seeing history, that made us all capable of not seeing race as an issue because, if you went back far enough you could find relatives in common with just about anyone. She blamed that on how far and wide Genghis Khan's armies spanned, and Alexander the Greats armies. It was because of her I had no pride of race other than "Human".
Olaf the black "prince of Norway, king of the heberties iles" was the founder of my Scottish clan, I wear the tartan of the Scotland records books proud, but my blood is of the Norwegian conquerors. I'm American but my heritage is still in my heart
