Byron - Look up the following in Google Images, it's disgusting: American inventors White couple White woman with children European history people European people art Happy american couple White man and white woman Who created white people? There's obviously a "blackwashing" of history going on.
byron johnson “Where is all this white male oppression.” The fact that you deny the existence of white male oppression is in itself OPPRESSIVE TOWARDS WHITE MALES. You’re telling ME, a “white male,” that I don’t face discrimination because of my skin color and sex? Well, that’s racist, then. That is oppressive. How about do your research into a thing called “reality”? Being racist towards “white” people is currently the most popular, most ACCEPTED form of racism on earth. The New York Times, aka the New York Slimes, aka FAKE NEWS, recently hired an Asian woman... but guess what! That Asian woman posted SUPER RACIST tweets about white people and how she hates them... the NYT hired her ANYWAYS... they literally hired a racist Asian lady who hates white people to spew fake news propaganda... Meanwhile, Roseanne gets her show canceled IMMEDIATELY for tweets that actually weren’t even racist at all if you understand the *context* to them. Are you still confused? How about “affirmative action” which literally discriminates against “white” people! And even Asians too nowadays because they realize Asians are too smart... How about a “day without white people” on Evergreen College in Washington state??? They LITERALLY tried having a “day without white people.” It’s exactly how it sounds. It became a national embarrassment... Can you even imagine if white people got together and tried having a “day without black people” on a college campus? The world would implode. There is clearly a lot you need to learn, young child... before it’s too late.
Lampshade Nationalism Holy CRAP... I googled “American inventors” and they’re literally showing pictures of ONLY black inventors... I can’t even believe it... I honestly can’t believe it despite being highly aware of these things... Google is such cancer. Get me off this planet...

93hothead what he meant was that it was beautiful sight to behold, but in this context a beautiful sight to see before he died. He knew he wasn't turning himself in from the get go.
The ATC was very likely coached by others to keep it "light" and try to prevent him from doing anything worse. The calm suggestion to attempt a water landing or land at a military base was just a way to move him farther away from a populated area. In all likelihood, if he flew away from those areas he would have been shot down. That's the reality of the situation. From all accounts, he had a great family, decent job and traveled. He had a lot more than many people have. I'm sure his family has a better grasp of his mental state.
"How in the hell could a man enjoy being awakened at 8:30 a.m. by an alarm clock, leap out of bed, dress, force-feed, shit, piss, brush teeth and hair, and fight traffic to get to a place where essentially you made lots of money for somebody else and were asked to be grateful for the opportunity to do so?" yup that right there is the joke. That's why I find this line so funny. Congrats. You understand the joke. Don't mean to be rude. I guess it's kinda sad actually, but life goes on. Some kid jumps off a bridge to swim like his friends did, but happens to jump in just the right (or in this case, wrong) spot and nails his head through an old section of the original bridge and, like Rich here, dies. As they say, same shit, different day.

Then maybe trying to make a living as a ramp agent isn't a good idea? Some jobs are not meant to be long term positions. The problem is, people get lazy. Once they land a job, they stop pursuing everything else. They just stay in the same spot for years, and then complain that they're underpaid. Don't like your position in life? Then change it. It's that simple.

even if he landed he faced federal prision. probally like 10 + years. even if he managed to ditch and survive or landed out and made a escape. the ramp is a controled area with limited access they allready knew who he was before he crashed so he would have been a wanted fugitive on the run. the second he decided to fire up that plane and take off there was no coming back from it. The controler was a constant profesional.
That's the reason I think he did this, he couldn't just kill himself in a "normal" manner. I.E. (pills, hanging, etc) he knew if he stole a plane he'd have to kill himself or face some gnarly consequences. It's like some people that won't just quit their job, for whatever reason, so they come in late, screw things up on purpose so they will get fired.
👍 and if any of yall are needing resources to chase after your dreams yall can head out to west texas and sacrifice a couple years your life to the oilfield

If anyone had direction it was this man.. the sky king
Sal De'Friez So true. He seems like the kind of guy I would be friends with, a guy with a sense of humor, a funny, kind person. But it just goes to show that even the best people out there have limits, and clearly Rich was pushed over that limit. Corporations need to start treating people more humanely, especially call centers.
Bendy Snowball Corporations will never treat their employees fairly Especially in call centres. We are and will always be slaves to the fat cats and big Corporations. 🤓
"Nah I'm white" tells you everything you need to know about hiring processes in the west, you are valued not by your skill but by the diversity quota you bring to the company.
I cried. So happy he pulled off that barrel roll, so sad to see him go. I can only imagine his final words before hitting. It makes me cry because theres plenty of times where i have just wanted to snap but i just motivate myself to not do it. I just tell myself "hey, its going to be alright." "Hey as soon as this day ends tomorrow is another" i remind myself there is a nice warm bed waiting for me to let my troubles seep in.
It's interesting, I don't condone the destruction of millions in property but in this case it seems fitting. You know, a statement that even an aircraft worth millions means SHIT compared to the struggles of Man. That the airline, or our culture in general has lost the worth of a human being, and traded it in for profit margins. I hope many others can go nose up, and greet a new morning.
To suggest that Rich’s suicidal thoughts and actions fall entirely on the airline, or anybody but Rich, is insulting. Think of all the passengers without a flight to their loved ones, their careers, and their vacations, not just the first flights, but countless more that have been lost. They are not any less important than Rich. As tragic and empathetic this situation is, the airline is at no fault here. ATC and the pilots did their best to help and a dishonest critic of business is disgusting.
@@daotterfreak a human life is worth more than a few missed flights. but i do agree its all on rich, it was his decision after all. doesnt make it any less tragic... what you should be concerned with is how many young people consider him a hero for committing suicide, that is MAJOR fucking problem something is seriously wrong here... so many young souls find it admirable to actually have the balls to end it all.
My heart aches for him. He had his bakery. He had a taste of the good life, real accomplishment, and it just withered away. We all yearn to be great and have real fulfillment in our lives. Perhaps he wanted to be a real pilot. I can only dream of such accomplishments. How can I have optimism and the drive for such things when my days at work blend into weeks, and the weeks into months. The years, I don't even know how old I am sometimes. Every morning, I dread whats to come. The cycle continues. Just another day older. I'm not getting that back. I spend more time at work than with family. First world problems though, right? That doesn't mean I can't be upset about it. I want to be happy. I'm glad he had another taste of the good stuff, even if it was the last. R.I.P. Skyking. We feel you brother.
The problem is becoming a pilot is a very expensive endeavor that only the rich and those few lucky military members can get access to. It's an exclusive system that stamps out the lower classes from having access to that profession. I've always wanted to become a pilot..
Find meaning outside your job. A job is a means to an end, pursue your end and disregard security. Life has to be lived not just watched from the sidelines, in the end you have the authority to control yourself, so do it. I lack a dream but all the times I've heard everyone complain and not pursuing their own dreams makes me angry, I'd fucking drop everything just to get a try at my own dream but sadly I don't have one. Don't let yourself rot away and don't care about failure, just try it over and over again and at the end of the day, even if you failed, you'll know you failed trying for a life worth living instead of just sitting there letting time go by.
Laitharex Or how about a bumper sticker like Eddie would Go To Richard would fly ! All of us were in the Co-Pilot seat with him and a little of us died with him too
Especially when you are a millennial white who did nothing wrong to anyone, but will be the punching bag for the actions of others. They say racism against whites is impossible, but that right there comes from a racist.
It's quite sad. I remember in 1997 when we left South Africa for the last time. I said to my 6 year old as we boarded i said who is the strongest man in the world. And I pointed at the baggage handler. He said why. I responded by saying that he had picked up all the 1000 bags for the passengers. The sad fact is that he is also the least paid. Yet we all needed him just as much as the pilot Pack light next time you fly
We all feel sorry, sad or even proud of rich beacuse he was a romantic hero who took the feelings we all have about the modern system and decided to run against the grain and go out with a bang. He connected with himself and pursued what he wanted to do not what the official laws and orders tell him he could not do. Rich was a true hero and a common man god bless skyking
I know this might not be the right thing to say but when he made that loop i scream hell yeah, rip bro u sound like a dude id like to have a beer with.
I don't know which is more depressing, this man only experiencing real freedom in his life once right before he died, or this incident reminding me how almost nobody will have that. Rip Rich.
I worked at YVR for 5 years. I hated my job. Everyone was going away traveling while I was stuck throwing their baggage into shitty planes for $7.85 per hour in 1999. I was 21. I had just dropped out of university. Drifted around until I was hired at YVR. I felt trapped in the job at the time and the environment was horrible. A lot of times I fantasized about just walking into propellers or jet engines while they were spooling at the gates. But one day an opportunity was presented to me to become an apprentice plumber. I jumped at the opportunity to get out of that place. It was the best decision of my life. I have been a plumber now for 15 years. The last 2 years running my own business. It keeps getting better every day. But I sometimes wonder if I hadnt taken that apprenticeship if I would still be working there. Because I was just at the airport coming back from an amazing European vacation where there was no expense spared, and I saw a few guys I used to work with over 15 years ago still chucking bags there. I couldnt imagine myself still doing that. I get why he stole that plane and did what he did. If your future is that shitty job, in that shitty environment for that shitty wage, a nose dive into freedom isnt such a bad option when you feel like there are no other ones to choose from. The sad part is he sounded like a very nice guy who just needed someone to extend their hand out to him to give him some help and a chance at something different.
The Sky King has been transfigured in a flower of flames, passing beyond into the transcendent world of immortal heroes, while we linger here in the gloomy shadows of the dying civilization of the West...

‘Waaah grow up’ then what? Never look into the possibility that this rat race is a meaningless trap. I love idiots like u that don’t think outside the box
"dont go there", Ignorance is bliss, I hear everything you said, life in america is easy in some ways, but completely meaningless, we are socially isolated, we focus on tiny, tedious tasks for a wage. Everything that gives the human animal meaning in our past is gone. I know exactly why Rich did this and I can completely empathize with him, the rat race is right, it can you snap
What? Dude was a fucking asshole. Stole a plane, fucked up all air space, endangered others. He was a fucking asshole.

American inventors

“Where is all this white male oppression.”
The fact that you deny the existence of white male oppression is in itself OPPRESSIVE TOWARDS WHITE MALES.
Lampshade Nationalism
Holy CRAP...
I googled “American inventors” and they’re literally showing pictures of ONLY black inventors...
I can’t even believe it... I honestly can’t believe it despite being highly aware of these things...
Google is such cancer.

Lampshade, Jesus Christ, this is some scary shit.

Hey air traffic controller - you handled this situation really well!
"How in the hell could a man enjoy being awakened at 8:30 a.m. by an alarm clock, leap out of bed, dress, force-feed, shit, piss, brush teeth and hair, and fight traffic to get to a place where essentially you made lots of money for somebody else and were asked to be grateful for the opportunity to do so?"

Then maybe trying to make a living as a ramp agent isn't a good idea? Some jobs are not meant to be long term positions. The problem is, people get lazy. even if he landed he faced federal prision. probally like 10 + years. even if he managed to ditch and survive or landed out and made a escape. the ramp is a controled area with limited access they allready knew who he was before he crashed so he would have been a wanted fugitive on the run. the second he decided to fire up that plane and take off there was no coming back from it. The controler was a constant profesional.
@4T1K5O yeah he would have killed himself in prison or got killed
4T1K5O woulda ended up in an institution not prison.
Might have gotten an insanity plea of some sort.
4T1K5O Especially if he had no prior record. Should've landed it- he could've done it. Damn

R.I.P. Rich
He deserved a chance to do what he lived. Fly on into valhalla Rich
The world is fucked when people choose money and titles over a living breathing human.

It evens out in the end.
Same....sadly,same.
The problem is becoming a pilot is a very expensive endeavor that only the rich and those few lucky military members can get access to. It's an exclusive system that stamps out the lower classes from having access to that profession. I've always wanted to become a pilot..
I know what you mean, I am currently saving to buy some land and start a farm. Live a quit life producing my own food.
I occasionally watch this, just to feel more human. Godspeed Rich.
