Thank you!🙏
Is the city still open for tourism? In view of the ongoing trouble between Russia, &, the Ukraine.
Peter, we don’t know what the situation is at the moment. Certainly not the best time to go and visit the place!
OK,
Thanks for confirming what I was thinking, it is a real shame, having very fond memories of visiting the city with my Mum (18/1/1922 to the 17/11/2019), it being the highlight of the 12 day Baltic Cruise that we sailed away together on from Tilbury during the summer of 2005 when there was also a heatwave.
Being half,or, part Danish from my Mum's side of the family, &, Liverpudlian from my Dad's, Mum could speak, read, &, write fluently in Danish from her Mum who was Danish, Mum being the perfect tour guide remembering the layout of Kobenhavn when the ship docked at Langelinie its first port of call for the day, this re-affirming my extremely happy childhood memories of our summer holidays with Mum's Danish family, &, friends during the 1960's.
