For the prop box, placing each cutting into it's own clear, plastic cup is a great way to keep the roots from tangling. I first saw it on Harli G's channel and was so shocked I hadn't seen it before. They are easy to clean and reuse, as well as great for swaps as the cuttings will always be ready to go. No need to pot them up before a swap since they can stay in the cups until they are root bound.

Yeah that's a good call! I need to get myself some of those mini plant pots or cups. If I ever take enough out of one of the boxes to reset it, I'll do that! And of course will bring y'all along with me :) Thanks for the tip!

If you use a heat mat with your prop box everything will route so fast and you won't have a problem with delayed growth on any of your cuttings.

Hey Emma! Try propping your linearis in water! Mine start to grow roots within a few days 😊

Hey! I was wondering why you used the sand with the string of spades? I've got one that I prop'd from a friend into just standard soil 😬

I added sand for some extra drainage. Depending on your environment, some soils can be too heavy and moisture holding for string of spades/hearts. As they are semi-succulent plants and they can hold some water in their leaves, they need a drier mix. But if your plant is happy as it is, leave it!

Hiya, love your videos! Just wondering what sort of soil mix do you use? When I pot my propergations I feel the soil we use isn’t right even though it says it’s for potting indoor plants. I don’t know if I’m packing it down too much or what? Just wondering if you could give some advice? Xx

Hey I vary the soil depending on the plant I'm potting up. I personally found that many general 'houseplant' mixes are too heavy for a lot of plants, especially tropical ones and succulents. If I were you, I'd get some perlite and orchid bark and add that to the mix for added drainage and more air in the soil. Or if you're in the UK & want to buy pre-made mixes, check out soil ninja! Good luck!
