How to ACTUALLY repent for your sins

Is there a certain prayer you have to say? Is there a certain routine you have to go through before you start your prayer?
No. It’s as simple as this. God, please forgive me for I have sinned. I did so and so sin. Please forgive me and help me to overcome this. Yes, it’s as simple as that. You don’t have to overcomplicate it because God doesn’t look at what you say, or what you have to offer… because He CREATED YOU.
He looks at your heart. 1 Samuel 16:7: For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. You could even be too guilty to say anything, but the moment you get in His presence, the moment you CHOOSE to sit and call out for him in silence, he hears you, and he sits right beside you.
God is always with you. There’s nowhere you can go to avoid God. No matter where you are, if you are at your highest moment in life, or if you’re at rock bottom, God is ALWAYS with you.
