Hello Forgotten Lives! 👋 I love true crime stories from the past. 🥰 They're fascinating, and the unsolved crimes are heartbreaking since there's no justice for the victims. 😔
yeah you make my Sundays. Another fantastic review on fantastic historical women. You research so much and work so hard and it shows on all of your reviews.☮️
Interesting, it's not really something I think about, other than Jack T. R because it's still so obsessed over. Your videos are so refreshing on TH-cam. I love this channel, 😊 thank you ❤❤❤.
Korea had good reasons for not recognizing the Japanese. The history existed long before this. They knew that they couldn't trust Japan or China, but recently Japan.
You know what's sad, while so many big issues changed over time changed. But the core of humans, the selfishness, the sad choices, the way certain types of people think have never changed, it feels like it has, because it's so public, and it looks different. But, they're still driven by all the same base desires, greed, lust, power are exactly the same. I've never really thought about before. With the recent news going on around the world, it really hit home. Thank you young teacher 🙂❤.
@@annfisher3316 What is SO BAD ABOUT THE ELECTION? YOUR LIFE IS STILL GOING TO GO ON!!! YOU ARE NOT GOING TO ALL OF A SUDDEN CEASE TO EXIST!!! EVEN THOUGH IT MAY FEEL THAT WAY FOR WTF EVER REASON!!! DONT BE SILLY PLEASE?!
I'm impressed. Sophie was a very savvy woman. Libra women; amazing creatures. They are known as "The Iron Fist in the Velvet Glove" and that fits quite well.
Meierling: You make a convincing argument. However, I still tend to the theory, that Rudolph, being of liberal mind, actually comittet treason by some promiss of independance to his beloved Hungary. He stood on the verge of being discovered, and comitted suecide, as befitting a high ranking officer, to spare the family the humiliation of a public Exekution. As can be seen in the movie "Oberst Redl" (Colonel Redl) And he took the poor Vesera with him, as an added diversion! So sad! Sooo romantik! ... yea right! There is precedence for this theory: Peter the Great killd his Son for treason, Friedrich the great of Prussia was incarcerated by his father for treason and had to watch his best friend being beheadet.... dont comit treason if your a crown prince! The last photo you showed of Rudolph, rather remindet me of Harry! 😂 Oh, and speaking of pictures, what the blazes is a picture of the very english Chesterton doing in this compilatipn??? Thats a whole different scandal! Perhaps look into it? 😊
34 minit mark..... They weren't living together anyway so I doubt her husband really cared a whole lot about her affairs especially since as you said he was making a good living off her lovers.
Henriette Caillaux was certainly used to getting her own way, to the extent of murdering journalists! Perhaps Calmette’s grisly end at her hands explains why the French press in general is particularly militant about their freedom and rights now. I’m also not surprised that the court who tried Henriette for murder, acquitted her. It was in France that the whole concept of “crime passionnel” or even “crime d’honneur” was first enshrined in law. I enjoyed the story of “Empress Myeung” - the court costumes are awesome and I liked that this Korean Empress had political ambitions and resisted Japanese rule. At least she stood up for what she believed in. The story of the somewhat dodgy Sophie Dawes persuading wealthy men to change their wills just at the right time, certainly put the Isle of Wight on the map! Maybe this story also influenced W. M. Thackeray’s “Vanity Fair”? The couple who had a pact to take their own lives is heart-wrenching. I especially like the society illustrations showing the ballrooms and gatherings of the Napoleonic and post-Napoleonic era in Europe. Anyone know who drew them? Enthralling way to spend an hour!
interesting content, but I can’t stand the weird, sing-song narration, with the wrong words being emphasized, etcetera. Is it generated by a computer?,.
Yours is a channel that I open a new upload of and immediately click 'Like' before I watch it. Because I know I will.

The history of the Korean Empress, or Queen was very interesting. Her foresight and reforms were powerful...what a tragic end.
Channel memebers saw it first! 🎉

I'm subscribed and this video didn't show up until now when I went directly to your channel.
It has some copyright issues due to a fake claim, i left it up by accident :/
I can't find any information on a 1957 Audrey Hepburn movie by that name. The closest with the description of that time would be What and Peace.
How come no new stories sir. Im not complaining i just hope your ok and well xxxx❤

Am I the only one that sniggered when he said "Faure had a stroke"? I immediately thought "I bet he had more than that!" 🤣

Marguerite Steinheil was married to painter Adolphe Steinheil in July of 1890, not in 1819. Please get your dates correct.
👍
Is this channel on a break? Seems like just compulations have been coming out.

Agreed. That voice is awful.
