I think Gonta’s execution had a Wild West theme because it means Gonta dies in an unfamiliar place. He grew up in the wild and jungle so him dying in this unfamiliar place with buildings and sand and zero vegetation around would bring him some despair.
@@galarstar052 That would be cool, but he would already be dead before experiencing that despair if the execution still followed the same order like the original.
I still cannot get over the fact that Keebo looked down to check that they were safe and SMILED knowing that they were safe before sacrificing himself for them!!!
What I love about Mahiru's death is that it's the only one where the Body Discovery Announcement goes off before the player character gets there and the sense of dread is so pristine. (besides Taka, but in that case you think the announcement is for Hifumi)
oh yeah i forgot about that. they really should have done that a couple more times cause the dread that comes over you from that simple chime is perfect
going from leon's execution to mondo's execution is like. i can only describe it as deciding to watch an episode of goosebumps after going to McKamey Manor.
It's not only that Mikan's execution made no sense and was very uncomfortable to watch, but even post-execution was really disappointing. The cast jumped back from the death of Mikan and all the info she told them in an instant, and it felt almost as if... The whole game was hurrying up to just get it over with.
Mikan's execution is the most underwhelming one, but it is actually one of the smartest. All executions have one goal in common besides killing off the characters, but also filling them with despair while doing so. Leon hates baseball, forced into baseball practice execution, Mondo craves strength, turns into butter with a kiddy logo, Celeste wants to die in a special way, but dies of a common car accident. Junko killed herself with the executions she created herself, she felt excited at first, but got bored in the end anyway. Teruteru is a chef who is proud of his career, got turned into junk food, and was fried in lava which is too hot for frying. Peko died believing she killed Fuyuhiko, her one reason to commit murder. But Mikan? There was literally no way to make her sink into further despair, because she WAS ALREADY IN DESPAIR due to the disease. In fact, she wanted to die, her goal was to meet her beloved Junko. Thus Monokuma was forced to face a dilemma: How the hell can he abide the school rules by killing off Mikan, while filling her with despair, when the very thing that gives her hope is death itself? The answer? The execution we have now. The main difference between this execution and the other executions is that this execution does not have a final blow, as in we don't get to see the moment the character dies, nor the moment the character was overcome with despair. She was simply kicked out of the death game. People's reactions to this execution were mainly "That's it?" , which actually doesn't only fit what the players were feeling, but also what Mikan was feeling. This is what I believe Mikan was feeling during the execution: (On bed): "Oh yes, I can finally meet my beloved." (Monokuma trips with the needle): "You are not stabbing me with that? Stop teasing me." (Monokuma injects the fluid into the giant hand): "Oh yes Oh yes GIMME THE SWEET DEATH I CANT WAIT ALREADY" (She flies off into space): "Wait... This is it?" This is the closest Monokuma could get in obeying the school rules, while also filling Mikan with further despair: A boring ending. Kind of like how Shuichi chose to end the entire Danganronpa franchise by picking an end that is so boring, it dissatisfied both parties: the hope side, and the despair side. Which is probably why Monokuma, rather than doing his signature maniacal laugh, he fell headfirst onto the ground at the very end of the execution, which probably meant even he didn't know what the fuck he could do in this situation. Mikan was just a pawn for the despair plan from the beginning, and now her clinginess is getting in the way. Such despair.
@@鬰林 Even if it was completely wrong. I like this idea better than most others. That said I don't think it's possible to compete vs the better ones with this either. I actually think they meant to do more with her story arc and just didn't because they decided to end the series. Even if the end for it now is temporary it does not match the direction they were going in before v3.
Kokichi's death has always bugged me since the murder is actually unsolvable. The game just settles on Kaito being the killer but there's no way that you can say for certain that he wasn't killed by Maki's poison arrow before being crushed
@@mican7833 A murder being solved by a confession does not change the fact that there is no actual evidence to prove it. Kaito admits he did it after you do the closing argument but to reach that point the game completely ignores the fact there is no way to prove which of the two killed him
@@mibbzx1493 kokichi and kaito wasted time planning everything together with kokichi writing the script while poison was running in his veins and everything. Basically in the last moment he could've died right before the exisal crushed him.
My best guess as to why they went with a Wild West theme for Gonta is because the jungle is what he knows, it would be familiar and comforting to him, whereas the desert is kind of the opposite of a jungle. As well as using robotic bugs since that's a combination of what he knows best (bugs) and what he is most unfamiliar with (technology) and also what ultimately led to his memory loss in the trial.
The thing i hate most about hiyokos death is that she was just starting to get character development but all since she had to replace fuyu they just brought it to a halt
@@somestixofbred They should have done a double murder in chapter 4. Because in that chapter Gundham and Sonia start building a friendship so having her die by accident like Nekumaru falling on her would break both Gundham’s and Soda’s heart. If we were to make them start bonding in three and have her die, then I think Gundham and Soda would get close and after Gundham is executed Soda would take care of his hamsters and would be closer to Hajime since he’s seen as his best friend and could comfort him
Not just the character development - even her role in the trial has a real "oh yeah, Saionji was there too", like it was tacked on at the last minute & everything about Ibuki's murder/Mikan's trial would have been the same if it was omitted entirely. At least Ishimaru's death was part of the wider hammer plot.
@Oliver7 Maunoury Yeah but the characters didn’t really get expected or emotional about her death and it felt rushed like it only used to shock them. Since her development was put off not many people were even sad about her death so it’s not as despair inducing. Also when you a two characters that could have easily replaced her it just seems rushed and not well thought out. Sonia does nothing and had very little development and was only somewhat noticeable/useful for the 5th trial. As for Soda he wouldn’t written off as a stalker that constantly fallows Sonia. I love Soda but he really would have done better with her gone. It seems Sonia was only there so they could make a penetration joke in trial 5.
I feel like Leon’s execution felt so real/gory, cause it could actually happen and the vibe felt so dark and scary so I thought that Leon’s execution being so dark is why it’s one of my favourites

@@qwertyuiop.lkjhgfdsa Because Junko was only excited for those who weren't obsessed with her yet. It is not the aftermath of despair that turns her on, it is the process of watching someone falling from hope into despair that turns her on. Mikan was already in despair, Junko had no reason to mess with her anymore.
i too agree that mikan's is a bit bad but i think there is some potential depth to it we know that mikan loved junko so sending her off to die literally as far as possible so that not her or anyone could see her in her final moments must have inflicted a bunch of despair since she just wants love and attention and to be understood which is sad i luv mikan
I think Teruteru’s execution was also a insult to him because he hates junk food/fried food and has stated it multiple times so it was Monokuma’s final insult to him
I actually explained the Wild West theme for Gonta’s execution in your execution explained video. It was to convict Gonta for being a “bad person” and as a improper person. Gonta puts a bunch of emphasis on being a gentleman, so being in a situation where he couldn’t be seen as a proper person would make it seem like all his efforts where to be unrewarded. Hence forth he was killed in a shoot out with Monokuma as the “good meaning” sherif.
So, I know Korekiyo is kind of creepy in being in love with his sister, but you can’t say his motive wasn’t absolutely HORRRIFYING, the more I think about it the more it creeps me out
I heard that Korekiyo's sister was abusing him, but still Korekiyo was a messed up person as he admitted to murdering people for his sister. Very disturbing case in V3 I can tell you that.
Honestly I think that kokichi's plan was more thought out than nagito's. He came up with the plan and wrote the whole script with poison in his veins. Also kokichi's aim was to end the killing game and saving the rest of the class while nagito's was to kill every remnant of despair and leave the traitor. Nagito relied on his ultimate luck but kokichi relied only on his intelligence.
I personally enjoy Nagito's class trial a lot more, mainly because I loved Kokichi so much and it hurt me beyond imagination when he died. I also liked all the plot twists that Nagito's trial brang and how elaborate it was. However, I see your point but I do find it more exciting to see Nagito rely on his luck for his entire plan to work.
Especially the fact that he could predict almost every move until ALMOST the very end but Chiaki revealed herself as the "traitor", I also liked Chiaki's execution way more then Kaito's so that also played a large contributing factor as to why I like Nagito's plan and class trial more.
@@alister5527 I mean I completely understand where you are coming from, but there was one thing in kokichi's plan that had me sold. And that was that monokuma didn't even know anything about the case itself. Meaning that kokichi was able to trick the games mechanics itself. He was able to trick the very mastermind of the game. In the end monokuma knew about nagito's plan but he didn't know anything about kokichi's plan that he had to rely on shuichi's deduction. Making this the best part of kokichi's plan.
I really like this. I've never thought about it that way! I hate Kokichi with my full guts, but thinking about how much effort he put in is super cool.
I HATE Komaeda but god, his death and his trial were my favorite by FAR. I love that, with Komaeda, they really played up his luck as a talent. Obviously, it's there with Naegi, too, but it's a lot more subtle and Naegi is never aware of it. I just think it's so cool how Komaeda fully knows that he's only alive due to sheer luck and he's learned how to use it.
I just loved how he misinterpreted the rules or whatever for the gun and instead of putting one bullet in the gun he put 5 and he STILL came out of it. Dudes luck was God tier
@@THENAMEISQUICKMAN well that probably wasn’t brutal..Kokichi probably died instantly. I’d say that Ryoma’s was quite brutal. So was Sayaka’s since ahe broke her wrist and then got stabbed, and she was still alive after being stabbed. That’d hurt like hell.
@@xloisx4603 I think Kokichi would've lived for a split-second just as all his bones were crunching before he was dead, and the fact his body would be unrecognizable after it is what makes it brutal to me.
if all danganronpa executions were like kirumi's, then they'd all be in s+. having the blackened try and survive their executions only to fail miserably would just make it feel so sick and twisted. i always love it when fangan's do that.
I don't think that would work for every single one, cause after the first couple of executions the killers would just stop trying to run away. they would be like "Why do I even have to try if monokuma's gonna kill me anyway?"
I can't believe you forgot the heartbreaking death of Fishy-Fishy Desu Chan back in THH. When Monokuma dropped him I was in literal shock- His dying words were so touching; 'bLOp bLoP blOP" 😔
About Gundham: He and Nekomaru fought for real, and the loser was Nekomaru. He actually, somehow, knew how to fight enough to at least handle Nekomaru, who has a metal body. Which makes the fact he uses his fake magic in the execution even sadder because it’s HIM that causes the death this time.
Actually his spell did work he used it to move his hamsters and save them from the bulls it’s believed that monokuma respected Gundham enough to let him be lifted into above by his animals and payed respects to him at the end of his execution
@@nightingalesong5195 i'm pretty sure it wasn't to move them, but to protect them. But, like I said, it's just My opinion. [By the way sorry if i wrote something wrong, english is not my native lenguage. :')]
One thing I feel like they could have easily improve, was Junko's execution. Same concept, but you do all the executions, including the ones that weren't shown to the player. They already decided the execution for each character, and it would have been fun to see all 16 of them going back to back very quickly
I'd like to watch junko die of hypothermia Don't know who got that execution? LOOK IT UP!! Or if ur lazy like me just scroll down (It was Byakuya lol I love unused executions)
I actually have a funny story about when I first realized that Kaede was going to die. So I was watching a playthrough of DRV3 and I had just gotten to the first trial, after Rantaro had died. At that point though I decided to take a break and shower, and of course I had shower thoughts, as one does. And one of them happened to be, "man, DR hasn't had the protag die before huh?" You can probably imagine how I felt when I came back and finished the trial. (Note, I had no idea she was the "killer" until the "choose the culprit" minigame came up and they chose Kaede)
Me and my friend Emma introduced our other friend Apollo to Danganronpa and his favorite character was Nagito. When he discovered his body he started ranting to us in our group chat, and me being me I sent him a picture of Nagito’s body in the middle of his rant😅
Kaede's and Gundham's deaths hold the titles of the only ones making me cry. Gundham's got me because of how he reassured his devas before dying-- his last thought was comforting them, and then when he was so convinced he would end up in hell for being a demon, all the spirits of other dead animals came and got him and took him to heaven and I LOST IT. I have such a soft spot for animals and to see them come get him really just tugged at the heartstrings. And with kaede, I was actually spoiled on her dying, I knew she died at some point and that was one of the twists for v3. But I didn't know she died because she was the blackened and I didn't think it would happen so early on, so when they revealed it, my jaw DROPPED. And then when shuichi was really struggling with everything and feeling like he was the one responsible for killing her but also wanting to fulfill her wish, and then when he went to the piano room, I sobbed like a little bitch. For like a good five minutes, it was heart wrenching
Something with the Monokub executions that made me a bit paranoid when I was watching v3 was how they pair up to the killers. Monokid, like Kaede was a musician. Monosuke was very money-minded, which sort of made sense with Kirumi (seeing as her FTEs make it known that she charges a lot and you learn about her status in the trial), but it’s also a subversion of expectations because you think of a maid as being humble. I didn’t make the connection until it was directly revealed, but it was some nice foreshadowing if you spent time with her. The reason why I was so nervous was because my favorite character is and always has been Keebo. The obvious place my mind went to is that he would kill someone and be executed alongside Monodam. It makes sense that Monodam went to Korekiyo, though, as his status as an anthropologist almost makes him view humanity from an outsider’s lens. (Also on a side note, my favorites in the other two games died in chapter three. The fact that his obvious Monokub pairing died in ch3 really made me feel like the game forgot to kill my favorite off in the third chapter and then just panicked and did it at the end lmao)
Leon’s execution will always be my favorite - because of how it just shows reality, and it conveys the emotions of the fear of dying, and being dragged to your death by chains.
So I hate to make you feel even worse about the Leon case, Weeby, but... I remember back in the original Orenronen thread on Something Awful, before there was even a hint of DR coming to the West, that a lot of the thread readers during the first case said they also assumed Leon's case was supposed to be harder because players wouldn't understand English. But according to other posters who were familiar with the Japanese fandom for Danganronpa back then, nope. :P It was usually just as easy for most Japanese people who LPed it back on NicoNicoDouga at the time too from what they said, since they're usually at least familiar with the English alphabet. It was always meant to just be a straightforward tutorial case, the language barrier wasn't a thing even pre-translation.
"Hey guys Weeby Newz here and today I wanted to do just a fun little video you know, going over all the deaths of our favourite characters" *That just sounded so wrong-*
I once saw in a video that the reason Gundams spell “failed” is because it didn’t, it protected the hamsters, but ya know could be because of Weeby’s reason
Ryoma was absolutely my favorite character in any of the games, he DID NOT deserve to die, especially so early on. He was such a relatable character, and had so much potential. He finally realized life might just be worth living, even with him being on death row, the life he had left to live would be worth living.
tbh the thing I have always hated is that Monokuma himself says the killer is determined by the injury that actually kills the person... but the issue is Nekomaru k*lled himself, sure gundham tied him up there, but Nekomaru was the one who squirmed around and fell, therefore Gundham didnt kill him.
That doesn't make a lot of sense tho,Gundham tied Mechamaru and them he died,Mechamaru didn't kill himself, you could basically say that the bat killed Mahiru not Peko or the toilet paper killed Miu not Gonta
God, Keebo's execution broke my heart and it still does because I was so happy one of my favorites made it and then he just went out with a bang while I cry uncontrollably. A lot of my favorites died in V3 and it gave me the same feeling I had when Sakura died.
Okay, one thing I gotta say is mondos execution was actually realistic- basically his body and the electricity together would actually, melt you. And if your melted and somone adds some stuff to your melted body, you could actually, be, butter.
I have the exact opposite opinion on ishimaru's death. I felt it was way too out there and felt really random. It felt like they were setting him up to be framed, not killed.
I honestly think that the fortune teller should of been the person to die and taka should of taken his place. I mean Hiro had next to no character development
@@alexhiser4073 No I think it would make sense considering that he basically went off the rails with grief. Having the argument of like " Maybe he lost his role of 'Moral Compass' ". Like he isn't like his Ultimate anymore. He couldn't do it before but now that he's not himself it doesn't matter if that makes any sense. Yeah like many people I believe he should have swapped roles with Hiro during this chapter. It just makes logical sense. Also biased because I love Taka
22:30: The only TH-camr I know of who saw it coming was NicoB, he was complaining that it was so obvious, then the next episode he was like, “ooookay, according to y’all, it was not obvious at all, never mind.”
A point I never see brought up with TeruTeru's execution is how it parallels Celestia's. TeruTeru sees himself as this ultimate chef who could hoover Michelin stars anytime. In the execution, Monokuma turns him into Tempura. A dish which is so staple that almost anyone can (and does) make them anywhere to high standard. So he dies not as this Gordon Ramsey plateau chef, but a common diner/streetfood cook.
I'M SO GLAD YOU LOVED LEON'S EXECUTION!!! Edit: I watched Teruteru and Peko's trials today just to get into danganronpa drv2! I really didn't know much about drv2, but I realised just how much I loved the trials compared to some that I didn't like as much. In v1 Leon's was kind of boring to start, but in v2, Teruterus was CRAZY! I think Saionji is annoying and rude, but I sometimes laugh at her lines or gasp when she calls Mikan a "sk@nky p!g b1tch" so y'know... I mean she was sad when Mahiru die, but it was really portrayed as "Oh, she's just sensitive and has the maturity of a five year old" rather than "her best/girl friend just died"
17:52 ikr I hate how team Danganronpa treats SA victims in their games like making mikan a fanservice character and what they did with kotoko in despair girls to be honest. Just rly weird all things considered
my gosh i’ve been binging this accounts content the past two hours and i love the way she talks and her entire personality it’s so entertaining and i love her videos uwahh
I think I might be able to explain the wild west theme in Gonta's execution, actually. Since Gonta's aspirations were to be a true gentleman in society to show his birth parents that his jungle family weren't just a bunch of filthy animals, the wild west, a place of lawless chaos, debauchery, and ungentlemanly brawls, would be the last place Gonta would ever want to be in.
the despair every executed member experienced leon - he hates baseball mondo - butter lmfao celeste - having a common death junko - all the despair teruteru - turned into a food he hated peko - thought she killed fuyuhiko mikan - she got a terrible execution gundham - being sent to heaven instead of ruling hell chiaki - idk kaede - she didn’t kill rantaro kirumi - she was faked an escape route korekiyo - can’t live in the afterlife with his sister gonta - idk kaito - no despair? monokuma didn’t kill him tsumugi - same as junko keebo - had all the hope
I like the reference they make with Mondo's execution, with the tigers and the butter, never looked into the rest of the thing it was based on though, mostly just the tiger butter part, plus it's a reference to an old _very dangerous_ circus act
I mean Chiaki is basically there for the whole ride. Her deaths comes only at the end of chapter five and she still shows up here and there in chapter six. Take into account the fact that she was always 'just' an A.I. and her counterpart had already died, and her death, to me at least, is much less devastating than Kaede in V3. Don't get me wrong, it still hurt, but Kaede's hurt much, much worse, not only because of how little time we actually got to spend with her, but also because her execution was so f-ing brutal, while Chiaki's was a bit goofier. I literally felt sick after the first case of V3, and continued to feel sick for that whole week. I was sad to see Chiaki go, but her execution did not leave me emotionally mangled.
I feel like they put the LEON thing in for the first trial so new players can get used to the mechanics in a simple way cause the game adds more as it goes on especially in the trails. But I think it also helps get the players used to looking at everything so they know to investigate in a lot of depth especially since in later cases some of the most minuscule differences in background placements and character accounts can lead to solving the cases. Like in both the second and third trails when Mondo mentions the blue tracksuit even tho no one said anything about colour or when celest says we will die like they did even tho the others didn’t know about the second death
This is why I made my notification sound keebo saying please stop since I get A LOT of notifications (well except notifications for my fav youtubers and stuff then I feel bad cause I don't want those notifications to stop 😅)
19:10 Lets talk about ghundam's spell. Personally, I believe that it did work, but the spell was to protect the dark devas rather than himself, as they were in fact alive after that
That isn't true unfortunately, just a random thing people say. I tried to trace the origins of the rumor but didn't have much luck. I think someone just said it and everyone accepted it as canon despite not being true.
@@laquanburroughs3828 I wouldn't say he wants to die but rather he is willing to die. And while I don't know where the rumor came from I definitely understand why it spread so easily. It is perfectly in character for him and it would be a great idea. Maybe I should stop correcting people about it since it is such a great headcanon. I spent an entire afternoon once trying to find evidence to support it. 😣
@@tinkerer3399 ig maybe saying he wanted to die is up in the air but he did basically say to Sonia don’t interfere so I took that as he accepted death and he was looking forward to going to hell so. Either way still stands that the hamster theory fits
Honestly, I kind of like the idea of Junko's execution. Like, yeah, I think it would have been cool if she had a unique one, and I definitely think she's crazy enough that she would, too, but I think more than anything that she wouldn't be _able_ to do it. Because it's easy enough to think of a fitting way for yourself to die, but for Junko, it's different. It's less about what's "fitting" and more about what would cause the most despair. And personally, I don't think Junko could have planned anything more despairing happening to her than having her meticulously-crafted plan, her _years_ of hard work, failing in the end. So, I think it actually kind of worked for her. And even further than that, I especially liked that moment at the end with the press hanging above Junko just long enough for her to look up in confusion, because it's not something she expected (for those who haven't read Danganronpa Zero, or who haven't at least heard of it (spoilers, duh), the main protagonist, Ryoko Otonashi, is revealed to be an amnesiac fake identity of Junko, and it's also shown that Junko's actual talent is the Ultimate Analyst. Her analytical skills are what make her able to pull off so many of her feats throughout the series, and how she can always know how to perfectly act to manipulate the people around her. However, everything became too predictable and boring, so she eventually crafted The Tragedy and by extension, the Killing Game, in order to try and put people in a situation to act unpredictable, in order to gain some kind of amusement. But everything ended up going exactly how she'd planned... up until that final trial. And I feel like those final moments of her execution were like a huge slap in the face. When the press lingered, she probably hadn't expected it. She looked up, looking shocked and confused. Maybe she thought, for a moment, "wait, what's going on? This isn't supposed to happen" only to then turn it around and crush her at the last second, which is probably what she (and the players) expected anyways. In summary: her execution is much like an onion. It's got some layers, and it's a bit hard to peel those away (with droplets of acidic juice squirting into your eyes 😃), but when you do, you'll see it's a little more complicated than you might've thought upon first impression.
For me, when I first watched Korekiyo's execution, it just felt too weird to me. However, there's one detail that most people miss that I think is incredibly fascinating and just shows the dedication put into these executions. If you count the tallies next to Kiyo after the voting, there's one missing. Kiyo didn't vote. Therefore, he got executed twice, both by boiling and with the salt.
Well turning Alter ego into the black monokuma ball also symbolize the fact that was found out later that junko had used this ai's base code to make her own alter ego and with it kept herself alive in a twisted way
I feel the same way! Kaede, Kaito's and Gonta's executions all made me really sad for awhile (even though I'm not really a fan of Gonta). Ngl, I cried quite a bit for Kaede and Gonta in particular. I was kinda happy for Kaito, tho, in a weird way.
I made a execution for the ultimate butcher but it’s pretty graphic but anyway at the end the guys is turned into a meal and it just shows a frozen meal of his head with a expression of the sadness and despair that he had just before he was chopped up by the machine as later it shows his face on a plate with monokuma about to put a fork in it to eat it , definitely one of executions I am more proud of.
Could gonta's wild west theme supposed to give the feeling of toughness? Since whenever the character is in this setting the normal reaction is that this is the badass standing on his own against the world. I'd say that's similar to how gonta wanted to protect his friends all by himself but couldn't think of anything. That type of strength is further shown by him tanking "bullets" like it's no big deal. I think it's also supposed to show how the bugs he cared about so much were the ones that got him killed, through probably one of the most cruel ways possible that being the fire. So not only is he killed by his most loved hobby, it's killed with him like every other bug. I may be reaching a little but that's how I saw it.
also if you count the votes in v3 chapter 3 theres one less vote, which means korekiyo didnt vote (since no one else died) so he was executed than exercised for not voting
Hearing her voice sound so cheery while talking about characters being hung, crushed, and thrown off heights gives off heavy danganronpa vibes

I JUST WATCHED TWO VIDS ABOUT MCKAMEY MANOR WTF
It's not only that Mikan's execution made no sense and was very uncomfortable to watch, but even post-execution was really disappointing. The cast jumped back from the death of Mikan and all the info she told them in an instant, and it felt almost as if... The whole game was hurrying up to just get it over with.
Yeah, Mikan, Ibuki and Hiyoko deserved better than they got.
Mikan's execution is the most underwhelming one, but it is actually one of the smartest.
All executions have one goal in common besides killing off the characters, but also filling them with despair while doing so.
Leon hates baseball, forced into baseball practice execution,
Mondo craves strength, turns into butter with a kiddy logo,
Celeste wants to die in a special way, but dies of a common car accident.
Thus Monokuma was forced to face a dilemma:
How the hell can he abide the school rules by killing off Mikan, while filling her with despair, when the very thing that gives her hope is death itself?
This is what I believe Mikan was feeling during the execution:
(On bed): "Oh yes, I can finally meet my beloved."
(Monokuma trips with the needle): "You are not stabbing me with that? Stop teasing me."
(Monokuma injects the fluid into the giant hand): "Oh yes Oh yes GIMME THE SWEET DEATH I CANT WAIT ALREADY"
(She flies off into space): "Wait... This is it?"
This is the closest Monokuma could get in obeying the school rules, while also filling Mikan with further despair:
A boring ending.

Also: he wished to become a gentleman and the wild west is known to be a wild place, full of bad and evil people

@@somestixofbred They should have done a double murder in chapter 4. Because in that chapter Gundham and Sonia start building a friendship so having her die by accident like Nekumaru falling on her would break both Gundham’s and Soda’s heart.

@@somestixofbred then gundham death would have been meaningless to many
@Oliver7 Maunoury Yeah but the characters didn’t really get expected or emotional about her death and it felt rushed like it only used to shock them.

I mean, it was a literal RITUAL. It was gonna be disturbing either way
True
I was in love with his character until the whole "I *love* my sister" thing happened. The curse of the third trial.
Nagito relied on his ultimate luck but kokichi relied only on his intelligence.
i actually never thought of it like that ... kinda makes me appreciate kokichis plan a lot more
I personally enjoy Nagito's class trial a lot more, mainly because I loved Kokichi so much and it hurt me beyond imagination when he died.
I just think it's so cool how Komaeda fully knows that he's only alive due to sheer luck and he's learned how to use it.

I actually have a funny story about when I first realized that Kaede was going to die. So I was watching a playthrough of DRV3 and I had just gotten to the first trial, after Rantaro had died. At that point though I decided to take a break and shower, and of course I had shower thoughts, as one does. And one of them happened to be, "man, DR hasn't had the protag die before huh?"
You can probably imagine how I felt when I came back and finished the trial.
You have a friend named Emma and Apollo? What are you, Trucy?
@@izuvincee8495 an unused execution

In the execution, Monokuma turns him into Tempura. A dish which is so staple that almost anyone can (and does) make them anywhere to high standard. So he dies not as this Gordon Ramsey plateau chef, but a common diner/streetfood cook.
Teruteru also hated Deep Fried food or something along those lines
I'M SO GLAD YOU LOVED LEON'S EXECUTION!!!
Edit:
I watched Teruteru and Peko's trials today just to get into danganronpa drv2! I mean she was sad when Mahiru die, but it was really portrayed as "Oh, she's just sensitive and has the maturity of a five year old" rather than "her best/girl friend just died"
i wouldve put tenko in S+ just because like- the presentation of her body with himikos face is just so good.. adding himiko made it so much bettef
17:52 ikr I hate how team Danganronpa treats SA victims in their games like making mikan a fanservice character and what they did with kotoko in despair girls to be honest. Just rly weird all things considered
*Ranking Deaths*
Easy there, Junko Enoshima...
my gosh i’ve been binging this accounts content the past two hours and i love the way she talks and her entire personality it’s so entertaining and i love her videos uwahh
I think I might be able to explain the wild west theme in Gonta's execution, actually. Since Gonta's aspirations were to be a true gentleman in society to show his birth parents that his jungle family weren't just a bunch of filthy animals, the wild west, a place of lawless chaos, debauchery, and ungentlemanly brawls, would be the last place Gonta would ever want to be in.
the despair every executed member experienced
leon - he hates baseball
mondo - butter lmfao
celeste - having a common death
junko - all the despair
teruteru - turned into a food he hated
peko - thought she killed fuyuhiko
mikan - she got a terrible execution
gundham - being sent to heaven instead of ruling hell
chiaki - idk
kaede - she didn’t kill rantaro
kirumi - she was faked an escape route
korekiyo - can’t live in the afterlife with his sister
gonta - idk
kaito - no despair? monokuma didn’t kill him
tsumugi - same as junko
keebo - had all the hope
I'm a simple man, I see Weebly upload, I click
The saddest death was keebo’s hair thing got taken off
Some Tik Tok video: Say you’re the imposter without saying you’re the imposter
Chiaki:
i love how i got spoiled for all the deaths in the series and i still didnt expect them coming
Thank you for letting me relive the sadness of each death. I cried at chiaki's and kaedes
You get a notification on your phone: shut up phone
Its a Weeby notification: HELL YEAHH!
This is why I made my notification sound keebo saying please stop since I get A LOT of notifications (well except notifications for my fav youtubers and stuff then I feel bad cause I don't want those notifications to stop 😅)
i didn’t see rantaros death coming at all because acting cryptic and going off on their own was exactly what kyoko did for most of dr1 xkvkdmg
19:10 Lets talk about ghundam's spell. Personally, I believe that it did work, but the spell was to protect the dark devas rather than himself, as they were in fact alive after that
Please keep rambling! I really like listening to your thoughts and reasons.
when she's talkin about nagitos death "how he made a realy unsovlable murder"
kokichi: OH SO I DONT EXIST NOW HUH!?!?
Togami showed no respect to Fujisaki by tampering with his/her
body. It was so messed up.
I Literally Did Not Even Know Sayaka Wrote L-E-O-N On The Wall Until Chihiro Stated Out That The 1 1 Could Be Read As An "N"
I didn't know I needed Weeby Tier Lists until now.
Please do more.
I love the Danganronpa V3 executions so much because they most closely resembled the ultimate talents and the characters
I read somewhere that the magic circle Gundham made wasn’t for himself but was a spell he casted to protect his hamsters
That isn't true unfortunately, just a random thing people say. I tried to trace the origins of the rumor but didn't have much luck. I think someone just said it and everyone accepted it as canon despite not being true.
@@tinkerer3399 ah gotchu. Theory makes sense though cause he wanted to die so there would be no reason for him to make a protective circle for himself
@@tinkerer3399 Depends. It could be true judging by how much he cares for his hamsters.
I love your videos!! Could you continue the analyses on Danganronpa V3 character pls.
Well turning Alter ego into the black monokuma ball also symbolize the fact that was found out later that junko had used this ai's base code to make her own alter ego and with it kept herself alive in a twisted way
Keade actually made me cry. I was so heart broken that it’s definitely #1 for me and Kaito is #2. I’m so sad now 😭😂
I feel the same way!
The face still has the nightmarish expression it had as a frozen meal
By frozen meal I mean like meat in a little box with some plastic covering over it you might see it in like sam’s club or something like that
OMG I LOVE IT
Could gonta's wild west theme supposed to give the feeling of toughness?
