In Nairobi we don't have power issues. That could have been an apartment issue. Back up water, yes in some areas you might face some water rationing albeit not always. Lastly, you are doing an amazing job ❤
I can't remember the last time I had power blackout in Nairobi... even in the slums they have regular power. So that particular apartment had issues.. maybe they were not paying the bills 🤔
Maybe they weren't paying bills. The air bnb was in Ruaka & I stayed there Nov 2023. Since I moved into my place I haven't had issues cos we have a backup generator so when power went off a few times in the city, I wasn't affected.
I have lived in Nairobi most of my life and I have a word of advice for people wanting to move to Nairobi. Don't use agents for house hunting. You will waste a lot of time and money. The power outage issue could be apartment issue or just the locality because generally power is stable through out the year. Nairobi just like any other city in the world has good areas, average and bad areas you gotta choose wisely. I encourage you to explore more.
