    I would recommend one of the Roundhouse Engineering basic series Locos but I wouldn’t say they were cheap starting at about £700 but they are reliable.

    Thinking of getting a cheap, 32mm Live Steam engine, would you have any recomendations to which one i should buy?

    Most excellent!
    Can you tell me the radius of the curves at the bottom of the garden please?
    When I get round to constructing my garden layout, it will be a similar rectangle to yours.

      Hi John it’s not my railway and it looks as though Ian who’s railway it is has made the curves himself. Peco do SM-32 set curves at 30 inch and 38 inch and you can also buy SM-32 flexible track and bend the track to suit your garden but the bigger the curve the better for the bigger locos but most loco can handle the 38 inch curves ok.
