Please do a video on how you achieved this look. The colorgrading is just perfekt and the footage looks rather DSLR-like and not over-sharpend like smartphone footage usually does. It's not that easy editing smartphone footage as I would imagine
I never imagine that any one will record the video on Taiwan in this way . That is my home land. In fact I am appreciate you choose Taiwan to do this and make other countries see the beauty of the Taiwan.
Man I watched this like four times in a row. So good. I love it when an artistic creation comes together from the beginning to the end. Such a great flow and your choice of music is spot on perfect for the footage. Very nice.
Brotha this is absolutely beautiful I can't wait until I start doing iPhone Cinematic videos again. BTW did you hit up Uniqlo for the black t-shirt yet? lol
This video was absolutely stunning Andy. I would love to watch your tutorials on how you achieved this look. 0:33 the hyper-lapse looks super cinematic. Keep the videos coming man!
Once they get a global shutter or reduce rolling shutter on cell phones and can get better low light performance. Phones will be crazy for video creation
Always looking out for your vids! Would you be able to possibly do a tutorial on your work flow? I made a video on my iPhone X but my footage seemed to have much more noise. And your colour grading is so good!
Hey Andy To, I’m a video editor for news and television. My request is; please create a video tutorial of your workflow it would really help shine your talent for recruiters and others like myself to better appreciate the talent you obviously have! Peace and looking forward to the next 1!!!
Great video. I liked the cinematography of this video. Even though it has been more than 4 years since the iPhone XS/iPhone XS Max came out, I feel like it's still on par with its competing models.
The drone videos are stunning - I'd never have guessed they were coming from an iPhone! Did you use any third party apps or lenses? The clips are not oversharpened, like the iPhone currently makes them. They're soft and organic, like coming from a real cinema camera.
Hey Andy, I really like your hyperlapse at 0:33. I wonder what kind of sound effect did you use? It sounds like a very long whoosh but I can't create that effect with all the whooshes I have.
I loved my iPhone 7 Plus, such a good phone to snap pics and video with when I was in Hong Kong... Traded it for a Note 8 and while I do love the manual stuff I can do on my note 8, I feel like the 7 Plus was so much more crisp. The day I can have some depth by recording with F1.8 or something like that is the day I won't be using a camera anymore lol
Did you lower the sharpening? Because that's one thing that I've noticed, that the XS Max tends to oversharpen all of the footage but yours doesn't look oversharpened! Anyways, great video man!
Going to Taiwan later and was planning to try doing cinematic shot on it and how lucky im to stumble upon this video! Gonna try create my own cinematic shots by making this video as a guide/example without the drone shot!! xD
Please do a video on how you achieved this look. The colorgrading is just perfekt and the footage looks rather DSLR-like and not over-sharpend like smartphone footage usually does. It's not that easy editing smartphone footage as I would imagine
Did he ever made a colorgrading video ?
Color grading was hella on point 👏🏼
Too saturated
Duuuuude Taiwan looks so sick from the drone!
I never imagine that any one will record the video on Taiwan in this way . That is my home land. In fact I am appreciate you choose Taiwan to do this and make other countries see the beauty of the Taiwan.

Excellent use of the iPhone! Killed it bro!
Love how you took out the music for us hear the raw sounds of the city.
Color grading is top class!
Wow. That's DSLR quality. If the iPhone had good zoom and a wider aperture, it absolutely would be an entry-level DSLR killer.
Cheers from Taiwan!!
Ayeee I miss Taiwan 🇹🇼
The narrowing effect at the end, special.
Amazing as always Andy!
Thank you Amy!
This is incredible!! Filmmakers like you are the ones who have inspired me to create my own videos/films!
Once they get a global shutter or reduce rolling shutter on cell phones and can get better low light performance. Phones will be crazy for video creation
Damm never heard of it, have to google it.
Thats literally the one thing that stops me from really getting another phone right now
Ummm, Xperia??
Andy used filmic pro app and control his shutter, iso and white balance.

Wow, this is really impressive!
0:28 this image is iphone? 🤔 how you can get this focus and blur shape arround?
Hey Andy, I really like your hyperlapse at 0:33. I wonder what kind of sound effect did you use? It sounds like a very long whoosh but I can't create that effect with all the whooshes I have.
Holy hell this is so good. WOW
Really like all your film by iPhone, may I ask what kind of filter did you add in post to create such brilliant cinematic color.
damnit that is great!
keep up the hard work, greeting from Taiwan
I loved my iPhone 7 Plus, such a good phone to snap pics and video with when I was in Hong Kong... Traded it for a Note 8 and while I do love the manual stuff I can do on my note 8, I feel like the 7 Plus was so much more crisp.

This is amazing !!!
Thank you Regina
Awesome video! Really loved the mood! Would you mind sharing if you used luts to edit the tone and if so, what luts you used?
Amazing:) 24fps or 60fps?
1:36 how do u do that with your iphone
OMG i was just impressed Good Job
🍏🍏🍏 love your stuff
Did you lower the sharpening? Because that's one thing that I've noticed, that the XS Max tends to oversharpen all of the footage but yours doesn't look oversharpened! Anyways, great video man!
He most probably shot on flat profile or log.
Dope! Looked like that iPhone got wings 😂
Good job as usual Andy. What colour grade did you use?
Going to Taiwan later and was planning to try doing cinematic shot on it and how lucky im to stumble upon this video! Gonna try create my own cinematic shots by making this video as a guide/example without the drone shot!! xD
Excellent transition at 1:13 *applause*
