Thank you for sharing! I have an outdoor kitchen but it is exposed. Cooking and watching the skies and radar trying to beat the storm... It stinks! I'm looking to roof it and found this video very helpful! Thanks! Take care! 😀
Love these videos! I really enjoy seeing all the cool things you’ve built and all the animals. I would love to live like this but at 70 years old and disabled, I can only dream. God Bless you, Nate and Jen, and of course Minion, Az , the kitties and the ducks.
I ❤ your outdoor kitchen!!! Only time I go inside is to work (cuz Panera doesn't have an outdoor kitchen for me to bake all the breads in lol), sleep, and shower ... or if the rain is blowing crazy and loud. ❤ #myFL
I have been watching your content for about a year and it brings me joy to see you living your life this way. It’s so cool to see how you can use scraps and discarded pieces to create something so amazing. I also appreciate all the transparency. How when something works or doesn’t you admit that. Overall I really enjoy your content.
Dude I am very impressed by everything that you have done on your property, and appreciate the way you show everything to someone that mite want to do the same.
Good to know the pallets are holding up decently in the elements. I’m building a small cabin of sorts in the woods, and the majority of the structure will be pallets.
@@daymoncleveland0622 I run the destroy grinder at a new and refurbished pallet plant. The 50 lb 1 ft x 1 ft pallet pisses me off. He had the chaps Pecos and those are similar those weigh 45 to 85 lbs. Can you go through a throw up 10 lb pallet you go throw throw throw a chip in their knowing that weighs more than 10 he didn't go through another few 10 lb pallets in and then you throw your back out because it weighs 200 and it's the same size
First, let me say that I hardly ever comment but I watch every long video snd short. Someone gifted me a membership, so thanks whoever it was. Love yalls lifestyle. Im working towards that also. The muscovy caught my attention in the first vid I ever watched. I have some also. Love the dirt floor in the outdoor kitchen and yea some people wouldnt like it, but I know a few people here in swva, that still have dirt floors in their houses.. 😊
I Will concede to the Need of a garage Far outweighing upgrading The HeBrew Cafe, BUUUUT!!! #1-The kitchen is The Heart of All good homes, for family & friends alike!!! Having some other “creature comforts”, & some sensible finishing touches, like painting things you don’t like the color of, making the outer shell more palatable to your kitchen’s surroundings, & adjusting the rhythm(Jen knows what I mean!) to the whole working area, would only be Pluses for everyone!!! Some Christmas tree lights could set the tone for more romantic moments, plus bugs don’t congregate around them!!! #2-You’ve got an Excellent & Inventive Home Cook & Baker aka Your wife, Jen!!! The way to the heart of Anyone who Loves to cook & bake(just like a garage is for mechanics, woodworkers, tinkerers,& all around talented folks like You!) is good/excellent equipment, & good/excellent tools!!! That new wood stove/oven is jaw dropping Amazing, Gorgeous,& multifunctional piece, & is going to be bringing Wonderful smells that your nose may have never been privy to, once the weather cools again!!! There’s Far cheaper things needed in Any kitchen, & I’ve been paying particular attention to, & seeing a good number of new things-I’m sure Jen brought a lot with her!!! Anyway! I guess the Biggest “takeaway“ would be something to the tune of-as Important as all your tools & gadgets are, that many may not even know what it’s for, along with the need you feel to properly clean, do maintenance on, & store them to last, & the area for you to work in being in Some Sensical order, all are as important to & in Any kitchen!!! I know you have a gazillion things running through your mind, on how your total outcome picture comes to fruition-just keep in mind some little projects you could do along the way, to put an even bigger smile on your Happy Wife’s face!!!🥰
We called those 'FARM VALVES' on my land! If they are the ones I think they are then the part that needs protection from🌬️freezing is underground where it can't freeze in the MEGA🏂🏼ICE❄️STORMS⛷️SNOW❄️HAIL between the size of golf balls, softballs, really big oranges🍊or a beef🍅steak tomato for those of you who never played🥎softball or the hail stones could be the size of Az's🐾footprints in the snow, now that's scary big😮
I just wanted to say thank you for helping Will. Your videos have been so helpful and informative, and you are doing such an amazing job. I love the way that you show all the different aspects of your lifestyle. Your work with Will is inspiring.
Love the way you use repurposed material! I've seen amazing things done with pallet wood.😊 Keep teaching us more...and of course any important messages from Lord Minion.❤🐶
This is off and out of the video context and I hope you read this but I watched one of your older videos when you were building the pond to keep your fish cleaner and the pond cleaner if you routed in water inlet pipe from the creek to the pond you would have circulating oxygenated water that would not only help your fish but keep your pond stay cleaner & a great job for William
I’m glad Willy sent me your way. You have a great channel too Nate you should open up a petroski lodge. 3-5 cabins or wall tents…you could offer a 5-7 day retreat to visit you in WV. And see what you’re all about. I’d be interested in that.
Hey Nate: I love seeing what you have done with the *Outdoor Kitchen* and how you've made it the *CENTER* and main focus of the *ENTIRE* place would you have so *LOVINGLY* made into a home!!! It feels so comfortable when you guys sit out there for our *Sunday Night* rendezvous with you, *Jen/Animals* and anyone else that might show up!!! ~ JonseyG 👲💖
The clay floor can actually be swept enough and eventually oiled to be a clean surface! You should pickup the book Eric Sloane's Sketches of America Past. It's a great homesteader inspiration, and talks about how dirt floors used to be oiled to be made permanent, they'd even carve designs into them
Hey nate, can you make a little short video, where you talk about your Lasik surgery experience? how was it? and how long did i take you to recover? are you happy with the results?
7:02 once you have two kitchens, you could do the entire floor as clay, it just has to dry completely first then the whole floor would be perfect. Goodness i love your channel and this kitchen, my grandpas living room is made of concrete and river rocks, those big smooth ones for those who don’t know. Jeez i love this place
I much prefer your longer content rather than shorts. I find it interesting when you comment on how you did things, I sometimes do stuff on my property so it's really cool to
Beautiful home Nate! Thanks for sharing all the neat locations. The outhouse was pretty fancy for being an outhouse. (If you haven’t watched that video, I’d highly recommend you do)
I know a man and woman that had a outdoor kitchen & they had a house. They never cooked in doors always outside. We use our stove top not so much the oven, so we use our different grills and smokers outside. Would love to have a outdoor stove. We have a old wood stove in a building falling down, it's cracked so not sure it would work. Thanks for sharing!
I ran into your channel never really subbed, I'm glad will brought me back here yall do alot of awesome stuff, and your taste in how things should be done is 💯💪
You should definitely look into a biolite camp stove, for when the suns not out. I highly recommend them. I've had one for 10 years or more and it's never failed me. And you can get a grill and pot/jug attachment that really kicks it up a notch in usefulness. And it also produces electricity so you can charge usb items.. phones, cameras and such.
I'd love to be able to set something up on a nice piece of land for myself at some point in the future. I've always loved having my own slice of the world to myself but also love the internet, gaming and etc but with the way things are going that may not really be an issue soon. Unfortunately I'm not quite as handy as Nate is but it would be amazing to still give it a shot.
I bet the city slickers can't stand this. lol. Jokes aside. As a country boy myself, I love your setup there on the homestead, I've wanted to do the same myself for more than a decade but Prices being what they are I don't think I'll get the chance. Still I'm working to make my home in town as independent as I can get away with. Ordinances and all.
Not primitive, functional and well built! Would love a set up like this. As someone with children dirt floor in the kitchen is genius, spills would never be an issue. Aww the ducks 😊
Great Content Nate, you and Jen are living the dream.
if jen wasn’t hideous maybe
Agreed
💯 percent agreed ❤
Thank you for sharing! I have an outdoor kitchen but it is exposed. Cooking and watching the skies and radar trying to beat the storm... It stinks! I'm looking to roof it and found this video very helpful! Thanks! Take care! 😀

If you and Jen doesn't mind the dirt floor who cares. More power to you both. I think it's neat.
Tell Jen I love the Crocs. They are the best gardening footwear. Well Crocs and Muck Boots.
beautiful and great ideas. The blue made my heart happy. You are so kind and your heart shines through.
It's a marvelous medley of recycling well done ❤️
Love the outdoor rugged look of the kitchen
I ❤ your outdoor kitchen!!! Only time I go inside is to work (cuz Panera doesn't have an outdoor kitchen for me to bake all the breads in lol), sleep, and shower ... or if the rain is blowing crazy and loud. ❤ #myFL

You can paint the wood or seal it and it will last longer against the elements
Heavy pallets last longer.
@@SMOKEtillUReyezBLEED that’s definitely the plan!
@@bullithedjames937 we used semi-heavy duty ones. We had to carry them a LONG way through the woods, so we were trying to save our backs lol.

The ducks coming to the bell was so freaking cute!!! Love the kitchen, Nate!

Awesome video Nate, dyk also you could use your TV in the outdoor kitchen to watch your stream and see the comm better if you have the right adapter.
What an amazing space!!!! So much ingenuity and hard work. :)
Stacy from Parkersburg! Been watched you for a bit. Joined Will and you both since the collaboration.
Fully functional kitchen. Add ons as needed and modified.
Best way to go.
I love it!🎉

Actually great idea hope he sees this
You and Jen are my kinda primitive. I love your practical content.
I love the counter tops practical yet they flo with the wood. A pizza, bread rock or brick oven would go nicely too.
Nate I love your shorts but just recently started watching your longer content. Ty for sharing your life man, I enjoy it.
I’m glad Willy sent me your way. You have a great channel too

I love the kitchen. So efficient yet simple. The ducks coming after the bell rings is cute.😊
You are growing on me big guy. I’d like to see the homestead active with guests. Lol get will to throw a concert would be sick.
I've been waiting for this, getting ready to get designing mine. Hoping to get it done before canning time
❤ the outdoor kitchen
This is so nice, love it
Love the shutters. That is such a great idea 💡 👏 😂
Thank you, I asked the question why an outside kitchen and you just answered it!
LOVE the outdoor kitchen, especially Hanks little entry ❣️

Looks awesome. Thanks for showing us.
little building has so much charm, I'd love to have a comfy place like that
I love your outside kitchen. It’s everything you need and nothing that you don’t.
Looks cozy!
Happy father's day Nate and Jenn 😊
Love the Swiss Family Robinson vibes. All very creative and thought out.
Hey nate, can you make a little short video, where you talk about your Lasik surgery experience?
how was it? and how long did i take you to recover? are you happy with the results?
Great video and information i will use. Just something to consider but a wider view while filming would allow us to see things a bit better.
Honestly I love the DIY vibe of the current look of the outdoor kitchen.
It's my favorite place on the homestead too!! Nothing better than taking discarded items and making something useful out of it. 👍

Get a crappy old rug for the kitchen so you can continue to not care about the floor but you also have a bit of a nicer floor
Them ducks are so cute

Hey nate! Just came over from the clock app. Looking great! I strive to have my homestead like yours. Thanks for sharing your knowledge ❤
I love the rustic shelves and dirt floor!
Thanks for showing the outdoor kitchen!
Ok ill admit it, this kitchen Is so fucking sweet.
7:00 sounds like a Will job! 😂
Cool content Nate!

A job for Will!! He wants to play around with the clay lol
I love the about face those ducks do the instant the bell is sounded. Lol.
I love how the ducks come when you ring the bell!!!
Love the cabinets!!!...🤩
Love the curtains!!!...🤩
Very cool, my daughter and I are looking for land for a homestead, and I would love an outdoor kitchen,
Blessings to you and your family 😊
I lost my dad and all I want is to do what u do will is so lucky to have u and Jen I'm so jealous
"ya no... food" talking about the ducks was so unintentionally hilarious
It works
Purchased some of Minion's tasty coffee today! ☕️ and some of Jenn's doughnuts would be 😋 Yummy!
I would rather eat in the outhouse, brother.😅 Great video.
Nothing wrong with a dirt floor
Good video
Literally MY DREAM! 😎 Killing it Nate, keep it up brother 🤙

I'd love to came and cook for you guys in this kitchen. love making the most of a little to make a high quality lot!
I love the outdoor kitchen!
U built a beautiful outdoor kitchen.❤❤
Where's the cute Minion? Pls include him in the future videos.❤

Thanks Nate!
If you moisten the clay floor and use a screed, keep rubbing it, the floor can be as smooth as concrete .
Very resourceful!
Reminder to like the video to let Nate know you'd like more of this content ❤
That duck bell is so cool
Love the kitchen!

Pretty cool! 😎
Could you get into the finance aspects of starting a homestead?
get will to do floor thats what he there for to help you. he loves to help and work.
Cool kitchen 😎
