My physics isn't that great, but if a piece were to break off, it would be going at over 156 mph... or 251 km/h (where v = r × ω) (v = 0.13335 * 523.599) (v = linear velocity) (r = radius) (ω = angular velocity) v = ~69.82 m/s (convert to km/h --> (69.82 / 1000) * 60 * 60 = 251.352 km/h) r = 5.25' (radius = 0.13335m) ω = 5000 rpm (5000 rpm = 523.599 rad/s = ω) Overall, if you're still with me on this, a piece of hard drive platter shattering at 251 km/h will give you some medium cuts and will certainly blind you if any shards go into your eyes.
recently my hard disk crashed and i thought i lost my all data but thanks to the youtube algorithm for suggesting me such informative video, i tried the following steps as mentioned in the video and thankfully i got my all data recovered.
There is a safety latch, that long black thingy in this case which ensures the drive spins before the head stats moving. The drive is sealed from the dust getting on the platters and scratching them, the dust is very small and actually cant damage the platters, there is a small chamber there with a filter where the dust goes especially when you're dumb and didn't have any air purifier. The chamber cleans the platter for you.

When tearing down an HDD, take extra caution with the magnetic disk (the rounded spinning discs in the middle) because they run at 7200 RPM, or even higher if your HDD is 11000 RPM, that can hurt real bad if handled wrong

この動画のような現象は、自分もよくわかりませんが電球や信号にスマホのカメラを向けてみると出てくると思います
