- Come check out what I am packing for one year of cruise ship travel. Oh and I am doing it carry on only. I plan on living on a cruise ship for an entire year. I took this 16-day Panama Canal cruise as a test run to see what I would need to pack. I plan on traveling with carry on only luggage.

The button extender made me LOL. Thanks for a great list of ideas.
haha...no problem!
@30 And a Wake Up What about socks? Especially if you're going far north, wool ones are critical for my going-to-be frozen feet. Go, Navy!!!
i have a few
@@30AndAWakeUp I didn't see socks mentioned. How "few" do you fit it?
Tropical sounds sweet'' i will pray for you no more cancer' dear;; my younger sister has been fighting caner as well but doing much better enjoy your journey'' my friend
awww...i hope she's ok!
Love the tip on the rope to dry clothes.
It worked so well. I'll never cruise without that clothesline and hooks again!
One more thing to note: the universal plug travel adapter you showed, although not a converter, does have surge protection and, therefore, is not allowed on most cruise ships. Some cruise lines (Celebrity known to be one) will confiscate it. There are ones (also available on Amazon) similar to this one but without surge protection and that's what is needed for cruising.
I've never had an issue with it...as a matter of fact it's plugged in on the ship right now powering this laptop :)
@@30AndAWakeUp Depends on the cruise line, who is scanning the luggage and your cabin steward. I've never had an issue either, but do know plenty of people who have. Apparently, it poses a fire risk to have surge protectors. So now I just take the non-surge protector kind when my travel includes cruising.
@@neresq almost positive there is no surge protector on mine....but we shall see
Oh! I forgot the other thing that cracked me up! Brooks Brothers shirt and Lululemon pants. That is a singularly YOU combination! 😅
haha....im almost as enamored with lululemon pants and shorts as I am with merino wool shirts!
@@30AndAWakeUp 😁
The clothes line is a major game changer ! GENIUS ! 🫡👌👍
it really is!!!!!! Won't cruise without it now.
Great Video. I gather for toiletries like razors etc you will just replenish at port as needed.. I will be interested in the transfers and how you were able to line up cruise after cruise in your future videos.
Yeah, I just replenish as I need. The razor I used is sold on most cruise ships.
I have seen several videos about carry on only packing but this is the best. Very smart ideas for me. Thank you so much. 😊
No problem! thanks for watching and commenting.
Can't wait for the next vdo.
Hopefully, tomorrow.
You won’t be surprised to hear I packed a checked bag, rolling carry on, and a purse for the planned 3 week - turned into 4 week due to cancelled flights - trip this month 🤣 I don’t know how you do it
I could pack for 10 years in your bags! :)
Also, only THREE pairs of underwear?!?!
@@lindseyjensen6774 5...one in the very beginning stuffed in my shoe...3 in that compression case....and one on me! I'm living luxuriously now!
Great video great view. cruise ship. Vacation sounds
Thanks, Peter. I am looking forward to it.
As someone who has cruised for over 30 years and taken approx. 50 cruises all over the world (at least half of them 14 days or longer), I think you should bring more medications. It's can be very difficult to get what you need in foreign ports, even on developed Caribbean islands such as Grand Cayman, and the cruise ship gift shop will have a limited selection of ridiculously overpriced items. At the very least, you should always have some of the following: Imodium (for diarrhea; norovirus is a real issue on ships), more cold pills than what you showed you had (colds and other URI's spread like wildfire on ships), Benadryl (for allergic reactions), Tylenol &/or Advil, an antibiotic ointment like Neosporin, and hydrocortisone cream. The other suggestion I would make is for more light colored tee shirts. The black clothes, even in merino, will be way too hot. Remember, cruise ships follow the sun and warm weather year-round. BTW, I am happy to say that I am also a "recovering attorney" having stopped practicing many years ago in order to be able to have more time for myself, my family, and other passions such as travel.
Hi Nancy! Great recommendations! :) And congrats on being a recovering attorney as well. Maybe our paths will cross at sea!
@@30AndAWakeUp I will be on the Caribbean Princess in April. Maybe then?
When you wash, hang the wet clothes on coat hangers from the wardrobe .. the aircon in those rooms drys the cloths quickly.
I like it! But i hate hanger marks in my shirts!
@@30AndAWakeUp fair.. maybe just use it for shorts, pants, undies and socks.
Heading out April 2025 for a 32-night cruise, and this video totally reshaped my way of thinking on how/what to pack. Thank you for all of the great tips!
Awesome! Have a great cruise!!!!!
Hello Kevin good to see you i was thinking of you wondering where you've been i would love a long vacation' so ready '' man its good to see you ' glad your back happy holidays to you Sir' big hugs to you😇
Happy holidays, Leona! Yep, I am back. This is my 4th vid in 3 weeks. Im having fun again!
@@30AndAWakeUp That is so good to hear Kev'' you are looking good'' so you are at sea for one year now? sounds like a lot of fun '' will you later go back to vanning a while? if so stop in at the eagles nest property and camp out with me'' would be fun and close to Crater lake Oregon' have fun i am glad to see you are set to enjoy your self after down time ' good your back'' big hugs 👍
The carry on luggage/baggage has pink color!!! 👠 thank you Kevin. My son & I do travel carry on ONLY. I hate waiting for conveyer or issues with lost & damage luggage....🌍⚓
Carry on only is the only way too go!!!
Great video Kevin. You take carry-on and packing to another level of efficiency. Thanks for the links, ideas, and excellent presentation. I'm getting excited about going on a cruise. Now if only my hubby will watch your videos and get excited about a cruise line adventure.
haha....let me talk to him!!! Figure out what he wants to do and see and book a cruise geared around that. There are some pretty cool cruises out there.
@@30AndAWakeUp Thanks Kevin. He is a private pilot so wants to fly. LOL. Is there a cruise line with an airplane theme?
@@Banagal haha..i dont think so..but on an alaskan cruise you can take a helo ride to the glacier!
@@30AndAWakeUp Oh yes, perhaps I can use that as a carrot. I love helo rides and have been up many times with a bloodhound in tow.
Merry Christmas Kevin
Merry Christmas Rudy!!!!
Stumbled across a couple of your video(s) and am really impressed by how well done and comprehensive they are while still keeping them short and concise. Love cruising and am getting so much better at minimalist packing, but after this video am on goal to scale down even more. A 20" carry on would be a dream. Took a transatlantic last year from FLL to London via the Canaries, Spain and Portugal in March, followed by land trips to Turkey and Dubai before returning to the states. Packing for 3 seasons at once was sooooo difficult. I'll be interested to see how you manage packing similarly when you do your transatlantic to London, as I believe you'll encounter the same issues. Can't wait to learn more hacks from you.
Merino wool is my secret! It works great in warm weather...and you can layer it in cold weather.
That’s a lot of stuff by your standards. Glad to see you back. 🛳️
Haha...I know..I feel spoiled!
The magnetic clothes line is so fabulous!
Like the spray bottle! I’m binge watching videos 😂 I will probably comment annoyingly on videos from a year ago… don’t mind me just being my random in going down the rabbit hole 🕳️ 😂
Not at all...I love comments!
Merry Christmas Kevin!!! Thank you Santa, this is just what I asked for! The picture with the backpack: sure! you are super cheesyAre the camel slippers shoes on the white and blue rug modeled by you? If so, you can be a shoe model if you want
Merry Christmas to you!!! Yes, they were modeled by me!! haha
I have a couple of blouses what were dressy & washable. I bought a couple of inflatable clothes hangers from Amazon and these helped them dry quickly and without the hanger marks on the shoulders.
I like that inflatable hangar idea.
Kevin. Glad your healthy now. That skin cancer is scary. It’s so cool that you travel so lite. Keep up the great content 👍🏻
My husband and I routinely do 10-14 day cruise trips with one medium and one carry-on hardside suitcase - careful planning is the key and you've definitely thought this out. You have appropriate clothing for a variety of cruise situations. Just one suggestion - It does get hot in the sun in any tropical location, and you may want to consider some lighter color t-shirts rather than so much black for daytime use.
Yeah, I know...i definitely need some light colors. Great suggestion.
@@30AndAWakeUp yeah, I agree lighter color is a good for a tropical climate not just because of the warmer climate but it seems the vibe is more for lighter more colorful clothes, and cooler climates and more formal climates like Scandinavia would go toward black or maroon colors.
100% agree.
Great simple wardrobe. I'm moving to Thailand for a year. I also like a simple wardrobe as well. Any suggestion for that hot Thailand climate?
I wore merino wool t shirts there the whole time I was there and they work great. But the great thing about Thailand is you can just buy stuff when you get there. Pack very light and add to your wardrobe there. Clothes are so cheap there.
Thanks, that's how I will go about it.
Thanks for doing this video. Almost all packing videos I've seen have been by women for women. You laundry hanging solution was novel and I'm going to use it in the future.
Yeah, I noticed that as well. Was hard to find packing vids for guy done by a guy. Glad it was helpful.
Looking forward to the next video
Thanks! I board a ship at the end of the week...so more vids soon!
Love the clothesline idea with the rope and magnet hooks. We have the magnet hooks but never thought of a clothesline. Harbor freight carries the magnet hooks if you need more. I hand wash a few items in the cabin so will try it.
Glad it was helpful!
I have been planning this exact same adventure for several years. It will be awesome to follow you on this! I was supposed to start June 2020. Obviously it got shut down. Prior to Covid, you could do this for around $2500/month. And around $3000/month, even on the higher months. And some slow months, definitely under $2500. It will be interesting to see how this goes now. My plan for 2023 was to begin in April. I was just over $3000 for that month. Now, I can't come close to $3000/month after June. They have ALL raised their prices!! I assume you have noticed as well, and may have to up your budget. Very frustrating. My plan was to cruise from same port 3-4 weeks in a row, then travel to next port, using 1 travel day a month. 2 max. I may still do April, but unless the pricing comes down, that will be it until the fall. Good luck and wish you the best!
If you're over in Europe in June, you can find a ton of MSC for as little as $55 a night. Check out cruiseplum and sort by cost per night. You'll find some deals. If i stuck to mostly princess and MSC...I could definitely keep it under 100 a day but I want to try some different cruise lines.
@@30AndAWakeUp Unfortunately I'm stuck to US based cruises only for the next couple of years. So tougher battle keeping under $100/day. Are you switching ports every so often? Europe as well? I definitely use Cruiseplum. Easy to sort. Are you booking well in advance or last minute? I'm finding it better to book early as prices are rising. (Using cruiseplum pricewatch) Whereas in the past, it was easy to book even a few days before the cruise and still get a good deal. Think that's over with for the time being. How is the internet overall?
Instead of bringing an extra pair of dress shoes, black sketchers work fine for evening and day wear.
That is what I use to roll with and might go back to that.
Wow!! It's really pared down from a sea bag which was heavy & cumbersome for me & definitely not a carry-on. I think I could pack similarly. I've never heard of laundry sheets which are game changers for all travelers. Thanks for the tips.
Yeah, those laundry sheets are great. And no way I'd travel with a sea bag again!!!
I like your wardrobe, very tastefully done. I feel for you, I had melanoma in 2007 so it's something that you always think about when outdoors.
So true!
Omg! I am so happy that you are back!
This is my 4th vid in 2 weeks! Im back with a vengeance!
What a great and informative video. Love the hacks! So glad you are back and sharing such fabulous information.
Thank you so much for sticking around, Peri!
You are inspiring and encouraging me try this and go alone…..
Awesome!
I am so very happy you are well! I love your pack with me vids. That clothes line hack; genius! Water shoes are so good. I started using them years ago. No more worries about stepping on something pokey. Now I am all caught up and looking forward to the next vid. 😃
Thanks you! :)
Good to see what you can get away with when you plan well. Most people pack way too much stuff. You could move up a suitcase size and still be a champ, lol. Enjoy your cruise...old sailor here and I also liked the sea days best. Skipped some shore visits to have the relaxed ship amenity experience with most of the passengers gone.
Yeah, I skip the port visits occasionally as well.
Hey Kevin you’re not going to believe what I just did!!! I booked an Alaskan Cruise!!! A short cruise but I’m traveling with my sister. I haven’t taken a nice cruise in quite some time (I started flying) so I’m super excited. I’m definitely taking notes from your videos!!!! Thank you. 😊
That is awesome!
I immediately thought, what the hell is that on the bed? Sure cell isn't a backpack. I learned the long cord trick the hard way. Now I carry a cube that has a 10-ft cord with four USBs and 3 110 outlets. Takes up a tiny bit of space, but it reminds me that I have to use every plug to recharge what I bring on the bike. I'm going to have to use your clothes drying hack. I think a piece of paracord would work well.
yeah, i need to switch out to paracord.
Have followed your for several years and so glad you suspended use of the small backpack for cruising as you can't always get away with t-shirts and shorts daily. Also noticed you have invested in more expensive clothing items but are confident they will hold-up better. You may benefit from adding a little bit more color in the tops but I know what you are going after.
You make it look so easy. All the best on your next cruise journey. You convinced me to consider carry-on only and it has worked out well. I purchased a 40l travel backpack for areas where a rolling bag won't work (i.e. cobbled streets). The AERSF Travel Pack 3 is very well made and works well for your sort of travel. Happy Holidays.
Yeah, those AER bags are really good. I really like them. And yeah, I need to add some color! I just suck at matching things. So if it's black - I know it matches! haha!
@@30AndAWakeUp to match things in a more tropical climate, just wear tan shorts and then you can wear whatever color with it.
Kevin, holy s$&t!! I didn't know about the metal hack. There is never enough room in the bathroom to dry your wet clothes, I"m so doing that for our cruise in February.
It worked great. I forgot to mention you can hang your stuff right under the air vent as well...and the stuff will dry pretty fast!
"Kevin's got a suitcase!" 😄 I can't believe all you were able to pack in the "clothes" side, wow! And the magnetic clothes line hack was sweet, too. I learned something new today! 😊
haha...i love those magnetic hooks...I wish all walls were magnetic!
@@30AndAWakeUp Omg, yes!!
Lululemon also makes some great crew neck shirts and polos if you haven't tried them yet.
thanks for the tip
OMGoodness, I love the clothesline hack. Good to know about the walls all natural magnet.
Me too! :)
I was sorry to hear about your health scare, I wondered what happened to you. It is good to know you are doing better. Your packing plan sounds great and I'm betting it will serve you well in the coming year. Thanks.
Thanks! :)
Kevin, someone is laser targeting your chin! 😁
I travel carry-on only too, but I like top opening cases. Clam shell opening takes up too much space (especially when there is two of you). I found a Delsey with a top opening 22" hard side case. Lots of soft side top opening. Soft siders have outside pockets.
For non-magnetic hooks checkout nite ize cam jam. Hooks that let you ratchet parachord or any line.
I normally stay away from blacks and whites. Whites are hard to keep white unless they are washed separately and black is hot in the tropics.🥵
Haha..yeah...that morning sun plays havoc with my iphone!
Good to see you back on the move! Looking forward to your cruising adventures. For those items you are testing, please be sure to do a follow up once you made a yeah or nay decision. BTW just purchased a used motorhome in Florida and first week experienced a winter bomb cyclone, and of course, broke a few things. All apart of the "learning experience!"
Oh no, but that's a great test! Hope nothing too serious! And I will definitely do a follow up. Definitely going to ditch the white collared shirt.
The clothesline tip..worth watching you unpack all those black t shirts...LOL. You said you are cruising for a whole year? Is there some sort of reward program that will give you points or something? The more you cruise the more you save?
I dont have a rewards program with any cruise line but I always use my chase sapphire reserve credit card which gives me 3 points for each dollar on travel and a 1.5% exchange when i book through their platform. So I will get a lot of points cruising.
Yup, I do the one bag travel also, getting ready for a 6 month Southeast travel adventure soon with (carry on) only. Actually living in now to get it down pat. Thank you for sharing!
It's the only way to go! Thanks for watching brother!
You nailed it. Thanks.
Thanks bro!
Hey Kevin....love the vids. I think i noticed some of your pants were inside out. Just wondering why?
i always fold my clothes inside out so if they get something spilled on them or scuffed it's on the inside of the fabric and not on the outside
@30 And A Wake Up That is a good idea, Kevin. Oh...so my wife and I
are going to Thailand because of your videos! Mid Feb, one week in Chiang Mai, and one week in Koh Samui. We are really looking forward to it.
@@tript9996 That is awesome!!!!
The videos have been great! Since you have been cruising full-time now for a little while can you do an update on your packing items? Curious to see what has changed over time. Thanks!
I will!
Hahahahaha get your mind out of the gutter...it's not what you think ;-) Great packing tips...just shared some of the links with a friend going on a long trip to Italy. Also, I saved the links to my wish list for a majority of the things you talk about. Keep on cruisin' my friend! Cella & Sugar
Thanks Cella & Sugar! :)
That’s amazing how much you fit in that little case! Course my toiletries alone would take up half that case so I’m not going anywhere without checking a bag. But I’ve gleaned some clever ideas from that… thanks 🙏
haha....glad it was helpful :)
Hey Kevin new subscriber and also a world traveler. I’m sure someone has already mention to you regarding cruise deals and that is repositioning cruises. I also you Vacations to go website to catch deals as well. You get the same amenities with normally a cheaper cost. I’ve also notice you can get much longer days on these cruises. I’m going back to watch you older content as well because, I’m currently in Chiang Mai Thailand for 75 days. However, I love to cruise and I’m really excited how you will navigate a years worth of cruises and get your prospective cruising for a year. It sounds wonderful and I hope it holds up to what I think it would be like!! Good luck👍
Very cool. I will be cruising out of Asia as well in late 2023. Should be fun. I like vacations to go...it gives some good ideas.
Glad to see you back after so many months ....A few people on a Thai discord group who watched and enjoyed your previous videos were worried something bad had happened. Safe travelling and really looking forward to your cruise travels.
Ahh man. I didn't know that! Yeah, I am good! :)
Oh man I only wish I could go carry on only! As an older woman, too much stuff I can't live without! 😂 However, I have scaled back to one checked bag and one small backpack that I carry on. That way, I don't have to find a way to shove my carry on into the upper bin, which is more of a challenge for me. I just use the shampoo provided onboard to wash my clothes in the sink. Seems to work fine. Of course, I'm not staying on for a year, so they do get a real wash once I get home. Thanks for the budget travel tips. I travel the budget way as well.
That is a good plan as well! yeah, i used the liquid soap for a lot of the stuff I washed in the sink. Princess makes it convenient with self serve laundry but I know that wont be the case on many lines.
Good to see you again brother. I loved your video!
Thanks bro!
I had t seen any vids from you in awhile, and now this pops up on my feed. Nice to see you again
Thanks, man!
You said pills for seasickness, 🤣
Stop, how could you be former navy and get seasick 🤣
I crossed the North Atlantic in winter with 60’ swells, on an old Tin can.
I swore after 3 med cruises I would never get on a ship again, but after watching your videos, I’m going to start planning one.
Looking stylish on your cruise Kevin!
awe...thanks Noreen! :)
Wow! You've got a lot in that bag. I need to rethink how I am packing. Great video as always.
You can do it! :)
Great advice. I always do a carryon and small backpack when I travel no matter how long. I bought a pair of black top and sole Allbirds for travel. They look good on dress occasions and are good for casual attire too.. And, quite comfortable. The pack down very small (I put them together with the soles to the outside and tie the strings around them) and, since they are wool, look great when I untie and wear them. Travel on, travel small!!
I have a friend that swears by Allbirds. I'll have to check them out.
The waist extenders would come in handy for me if I were to travel on a cruise ship for 1 year. I heard a wise man once said "the more you eat, the cheaper the cruise becomes" 😝
haha! The math definitely works out!
I scrolled the comments thinking Melanie would have a snappy one for the rope, and she did not disappoint. 🤣 Helpful video, I'm going to get some of those laundry sheets for the van, and check some of those other items for airplane travel. I might need those pants extenders after the past few days! Hope cruising is going well and wishing you joyful holidays. 🎅
Hi Tara! Happy Holidays to you too. Yep, I kind of set that up for Melanie to make fun of! And the sheets are great.
😂❤
Note: with a carry on suitcase most airlines you are still allowed to bring one small personal bag, so it could be a smaller backpack with some items like a laptop etc.
good point!
The main obstacle for carry on only when I travel for business or to visit some relatives is that I normally give them some bottle of tequila, which I can’t carry on the cabin. Now I am given them candies 😅. And in some airports I bought the tequila in the duty free of the last segment. Do you have some additional ideas?
Have you thought about buying it after security in the Duty Free shop? If you did that you could carry it on.
Cruises always frustrated me.
- 4-5 hours of (useable) time in each port is just not enough (for me).
Shipboard life is great.... for the first few days.
I get that for sure.
You do pack efficiently!
I try!
Once you hit elite level on princess you will have free laundry service
sweet!
Glad that you are feeling better and back on TH-cam!
Thank you!
What's going on Pep. Nice to see you are still having fun. I do miss the Travato. I watched an old episode the other day, made me smile. This new adventure looks cool. Enjoy.
Thanks, PC. Some day I'll make a return to a van.
@@30AndAWakeUp Looking forward to it.
Hi Kevin, well done with the cruise packing! I always only do a carry on as well, with a basic wardrobe of cream black and navy, only I prefer linen for the tropics. I steam out the wrinkles while I'm in the shower, works well. I discovered on my recent cruise to Hawaii that, even though I enjoy sea days, 5 in a row is too many. I start to get squirrely. 3 sea days max for me. Have fun, I'm definitely enjoying this new series!
Haha...I get that for sure. Too many sea days might make me crazy. I need to try some linen in the future.
@@30AndAWakeUp I enjoy sea days!!! for example on the queen Mary 2 to cross the Atlantic . It was at least six full sea days and I found plenty of time for reading or talking to people, or just simply lying on the lounge chair, looking at the ocean and the clouds.
You go through a lot of packs! I’ve had my trusty steed for over 10 years! The Osprey Farpoint 40. It still looks great and is in great condition.
I plan to travel more and to save money I plan to fly the dreaded budget airlines like Spirit. Was wondering if you ever took the Nomadic 20L on any Spirit flights and if it was within their specifications for a personal item? I plan to buy that pack as well as a bunch of other travel related stuff during Black Friday/Cyber Monday
I did fly spirit. I had it on my back and no one ever asked to check it. But not sure if that will work everytime.
I need to do a video like this and you helped me find a few things I need for my next detour
Glad it was helpful!
KEVIN!! I miss your face. ❤ I’m not into cruising so this is probably the only video I will watch while you’re out at sea. I’m commenting on this one because I APPLAUD your packing decisions to the highest degree. Only take what you need. And black is my favorite color. I’m in my 11th year of traveling to/from client bookings. I’m a minimalist almost to an extreme but I did add a splash of red (my other favorite color) for my December bookings. I only allow myself one backpack and my insulated tote for food. That said, I finally upgraded to the small version of a rolling duffel to help my aging bones or recovery from a mileage injury. 🙄 ANYWAY, wishing you all the best in the New Year. Also, may you have fair winds and following seas ahead and beyond. Take good care of yourself. Wear sunscreen. Cheers!
Awe thanks Rachel! :) Happy New Year to you as well.
Great timing! I have been mostly a backpack (farpoint 40) guy and now contemplating for a carry on suitcase. The water shoes at 7:12 I got something similar, be mindful, DO NOT wear them at a beach, gets sand inside and not exactly comfortable for walking. Better off with crocs.
Yeah, I made that walking in the sand mistake with them. I am still trying to get that sand out of them!
I hope you had a great Christmas and enjoying life so stay safe be careful while you're traveling and hope your mom and your family is doing good and stay safe out there and be careful lots of love and hugs to you and your family and Happy New Year's and happy holidays 💜💜🙏🙏🥂🍾
Happy holidays to you Hilde!!

I have absolutely no clue how to down size and I’ve been trying for years. 🤦🏻♀️ So glad to see you back at it. ❤
Just one item at a time! Thanks, Ramona.
One item at a time. Great idea
Living your best life. What are the prospects for a foreigner as a real estate marketer / agent in Thailand? I have people here interested in thai properties.
id imagine your best bet is to reach out to a thai agency and see if you can come up with some kind of finder's fee arrangement
Wow, another great video, very informative and, loved the "teaching" people like me that don't know how to travel light. Thanks again. YES ! more Cruise video if you ever go again. Love the idea of 1 yr. cruise. I just wanted to know more about the cruise like, places that it took you to and prices of the trip. Would be great to know where you started the cruise, like, I live in Florida...so it would be convenient for me if departed from here but, for a long trip, it wouldn't matter that much. Sharing the trip (not the cabin) with a friend or someone you know would also be cool I think. Thanks and continue having fun, enjoying your life and adventures taking care of yourself as you do. 🌅
Will definitely share a lot of what you requested.
Great video. Bet you eliminate a third of the clothes for next cruise! Have fun!!!🎉🎉🎉
I probably will!
@@30AndAWakeUp Another thought - you know the ‘ towel trick’; hand wash merino wool shirt, wring it out then roll up in towel and stomp out moisture- shirt dries real fast!
@@JLTravels Oh yes...i live on that trick! :)
great video on packing. great tips. much enjoyed. enjoy the cruise. great marine photo!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Well done on the packing! I’m a carry-on only guy myself. Thanks!
Definitely the only way I travel! Thanks for taking the time to comment, Bill.
A very interesting video 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it, Dave. 👍🏻
Glad to see you up and moving around the world again, brother. Stay safe!
Thanks, brother!
Interesting to see how you mixed up your packing list from your previous journeys. But no SS button-up shirts (or even polos?). For tropical cruise climates, I would probably swap out at least one of the LS button-up shirts for that.
Yeah i might...the blue button up is really light and i can roll up the sleeves.
Glad to see you on the move again Kevin! Looking forward to your cruising experience. The only cruise I’ve been on was on the Star Princess to Alaska’s inside passage! I’ve always wanted to cruise to Antarctica! Looking forward to sharing your adventures!
Oh cool! I am doing an Alaskan cruise on Princess close to summer. And I have been looking at trying to get on an Antarctic one as well!!!
So glad to see you again.
Merry Christmas 🎁🎄
Merry Christmas to you!!!
Wondering if you are planning some European River Cruises?
I missed these in my feed so just watched all the cruise videos to catch up.
Yeah, I definitely want to try to do some of those.
Like most, my living fear is to die in dirty underwear. In brief, I pack the briefs. How many are necessary on a long cruise? And, do you find laundry facilities on many cruise ships? Of course, I steer clear of white colors in the Southern hemisphere. Socks also. Hints??
I use merino wool underwear..I have 5 pair. You can wash then in the sink pretty easy and they dry really quick. I dont really wear socks much..so those are easier.
Awesome packing video. I love these for all the great tips! Hope you do an update on what worked and didn't after a few cruises completed.
I will update for sure.
