For anyone trying to play in 2024 or onward an update broke a lot of the mods so Rounds now has a beta branch set up for playing mods on the old version as mods do not work on the current release of the game at the moment.
Can you explain how to use the beta branch cause I'm still pretty new to steam and me and my friend are trying to play rounds with mods
Just right click your game and it's somewhere in properties. There's probably guides online as well with pictures for how to use beta branches

For anyone still having issues after watching the full tutorial try this fix:
"Alrighty, I figured it out, turns out the problem is that in the location settings, “Change ROUNDS Directory” and “Change Steam Directory” are set to nothing by default, you have to set the ROUNDS Directory to C:\Program Files (x86)\steam\steamapp\common
ounds, and you have to set the Steam directory to C:\Program Files (x86)\steam. Change ROUNDS Directory” and “Change Steam Directory” should both be in the settings, under the “Locations” tab"

i have a tiny problem w this, i know its been a long ass time since this video released but seems like mods dont work, especially rounds with friends, i have an overlay over the middle of my screen and i cant press any buttons or do anything aside from pressing quit

whenever i try to run the game through thunderstore, it launches the vanilla version. Is there a way to fix this?

When i try launching the ui is super weird any reason why?

i have some questions about this for me personaly its not working i run download the mod pack he recomends al good with that i get 91 mods from that mod pack when i go run the game it is all bad like i hase some weird teks all over the place were local and oline is that shoud not be there pls someone help me with this

How do you use controller with this? It doesn't work even with the ControllerSupport mod. But works fine on vanilla.
whenever i launch vanilla now it breaks, one person wont be able to pick and sometimes colors swap, this is in quick match
Make sure you have all the mods disabled.
@@TimeToGrind that mostly worked, turns out i also have to launch it through steam instead of the play vanilla button on top of that

Hi i followed every step but the problem is everytime i push modded it only opens up the vanilla version ive uninstalled and reinstalled both thunderstore over wolf and rounds but nothing is working any solutions

Suggestion
Set the ROUNDS directory in the Settings screen.
I installed PCE and CardsPlus only and when I try to play with a friend, the invited player is always invisible, no matter who invites who
hello, i accidently did something with the mods and now i cant get the card picking back to normal. its for the pick n cards, i cant figure out how to not select more then 1 card

how do you play modded ROUNDS with friends? I never understood how people play together using the same mods.
You gotta all have the same exact mods. Do this by either all using the same modpack like the TTG mod pack or sharing a profile code
My game starts when i do the required steps, but none of the mods are active. Do you know how to fix this? My game directories are not in the same place as the ones show in your comment, but i found where the game is anyway. This might be the problem but i am unsure how to fix it. do you have any idea of what i could do?
The "Start modded" button did nothing, absolutely nothing, not even an error message, it acted like it wasn't something you can click, despite following your instructions exactly
I would try checking out the official modding discord server they have a troubleshooting channel to help people.

Me and my friend downloaded your modpack and enabled it on the manager. But for some reason everytime I click teh open modded it brings me to normal rounds, not unbound rounds.
Do you have a fix for this?

I'm experiencing 2 issues with this one the profile selection screen deletes what ever I do to it by the time i load it back up and all mods are auto uninstalled and 2nd cant load modded or non modded in the upper left
edit solved problem 2 you forgot to go over the fact you have to manually where thunderstore finds your rounds file cause it doesn't know where rounds or steam is at and literally says in the settings you must manually set that
When I launch the modded version the vanila version runs automatically no matter what I do. WHy?

it doesnt work for me first of all my the profile i make doest save if i close and open the app again its gone and if i try to play a game modder or vanilla is just does nothing notning opens nothing in my screen. and if i wanna play it vanilla just with steam it works fine
You probably missed a step. I would recommend joining the official Rounds Modding discord community and asking for help in the troubleshooting channel.

Installed the program, installed mods, purchased the game
BUT when entering the game through the program, I do not notice the mods, they do not want to be installed
Tried reinstalling both the program and the game, it didn't help
What to do?

Hey! Thanks for the help with this video! I managed to get the mods to work, but my friend hasn't been able to get his to work. When he creates a profile, it doesn't show up, and as long as he doesn't click on Default, he can access the profile. He'll click the run with mods button, but nothing will happen. I just can't find any fixes to this and thought maybe you could help out?

Maybe try sending him an import code you generate in your settings. If that still doesn't work I'd try joining the official discord for Rounds modding and asking for help in their troubleshooting channel.
@@TimeToGrind Thx. my friend and I have gotten closer to the fix now. It's something to do with his antivirus. Mine hasn't done anything, but his just hates modded ROUNDS for some reason. Thx again for the help

Idk if you already solved this and I know I am like SUPER late but maybe your friend could try reinstalling the mod manager. A lot of the time when stuff like this doesn't work it is due to the installer being closed before it is done or just something going wrong with the installation. Once again, sorry for the late reply

When I try to run the modded rounds it launches fine, but its just vanilla rounds, yes im clicking start modded, and yes I have mods installed, I dont know whats going on.

I'd recommend checking out the official modded discord for help! It's linked in the description of this vid and they have specific troubleshooting channels!
I get up to the bit where you install the mods but when i click "start modded" it takes me to normal
Make sure it is set to where your rounds is installed in the settings

Just make sure it is in the same place your ROUNDS install is. If your still having issues join the official rounds modding discord for help.
There was the continue mod that I saw you downloaded and when I went to install I searched it up and it wasn't there, did it get deleted or something like that?
The continue mod is now just a part of rounds with friends I think
well dam i just got this for my son he saw moded playing on youtube..... this seems easy but if the 2024 update broke the mods well fuc guess well try to keep updated from here incase it gets fixed

If 2 people want to play with mods, does it have to be both or can it be just one person
They both have to have the same mods. But you can both do things like download the TTG Mod pack and update it to have the exact same mods as a good starting out point.

I keep searching up how to do multiplayer and this keeps showing up. I wasted 12 dollars on a multiplayer game for me and my friend that I can’t even play with my friend.

@@breadisyummy_ is he offline on steam? sometimes steam sets people offline and you have to manually make them online again from the friends list

how do you play with a controler?
Controllers should automatically work with the game. Its a bit hard to toggle the mod menus with it so I tend to just use keyboard and mouse to set it up and then use controllers if I'm playing local multiplayer with friends.

When I invite my friend how do I start the match it does not start automatically do I need 4 players to start? So I can't play 1v1??
You both just have to press space and then space or enter again can't remember to make yourself green. Once all players are green it starts

There's another mod manager you can get that I'm not to familiar with but you need a mod manager one way or another. You can't just install them by themselves I believe.

I'm getting the same bugs Jonah is getting. Keeps bugging out, but the most annoying this is that you get a point from just winning one round. I've tried disabling all the mods except the ones that bring you more cards, including the dependents, but its still bugging. Any solution? Or just wait for a bugfix?
You definitely need the dependents installed. And if your still having issues I would join the discord server linked in the description and the actual modders themselves will be able to help you a lot more than I am since they made the mods.
