Pastor Gary continues with the “I AM” series looking at the words of Jesus from John 6:35 when He said, “I AM the Bread of Life.” Many people try to fulfill certain longings of the human heart with physical or material solutions, only to find that they still feel empty. The reason? Because only Jesus can really satisfy the deepest longings of the soul. Every person has four basic needs for love, acceptance, identity, and security. Unfortunately many people try to get those needs met in ways that don’t really satisfy and that sometimes lead to addiction in the attempt to fulfill those needs. This maybe my favorite teaching so far.
God was also pointing to Jesus " I AM that I AM as if pointing his finger to the future thereby saying that He was Jesus the Messiah when asked if he was the King of the jews. I AM !!!!
I am also very glad for the way you've explained Jesus' and the woman at the well. I've heard only one other pastor portray her as not sarcastic or "snarky."
Here it is 3 years later and His word stands just as clear today as then. I thank You Lord for this wonderful teacher that penetrates my heart.

Pastor Gary what you say to direct anyone how to find answers about the cults other than to study of The Holy Bible can set up a pattern that could lead them away from God's word. Preface every answer like this one with telling these folks to go learn their Bibles first because it is God's inspired word. Then suggest the books...better yet NEVER refer them to other books writted by man. Certainly this does not please God. He wants to be first over all others to teach His Saints truth.
2 Timothy 3:16-17; "ALL Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."

On your question about the Son of God. The idea of Son. SON is the image of the father Jesus said, "if you have seen me you have seen the Father." That might be helpful. We know Jesus is God. Jesus wanted to show the glory of the Father. In Heaven He is the Comander of the angel army. That is another name to show His Authority in Heaven.But to me He is Jesus my Bride Groom.
