  • Beginning August 22, 2024, Michael Singer’s talks are available on Spotify, Apple, and TH-cam (links below). They will release new talks every Monday and Thursday on those platforms.
With regard to this channel (Seats of Contemplation), we will continue to post his older talks, but once we catch up to the August 22 talk, we will no longer post any new talks. We plan to leave this channel with the older talks up unless asked to remove them.

We do not receive ad revenue from these videos, but TH-cam may.
If you would like to learn more about Michael Singer’s work, here are a few suggestions:
Every Sunday, Monday & Thursday, he releases talks at www.tou.org.
Every Sunday, Monday & Thursday night, he gives a live talk at his Temple of the Universe in Alachua, Florida. Anyone can attend for free.
He’s written several books. They are phenomenal, even the ones written in the seventies. (We will receive a commission if you purchase books through these links.)

If you’re wondering what Mickey’s saying at the beginning and end of each talk, it is:
Jai Guru Dev, Jai Masters. Jai Guru Dev is a traditional Hindu phrase that means Glory to the Great Teacher (the most accurate translation would be glory to the shining remover of darkness), where the great teacher here is generally considered to be the Divine Soul, while we, as human beings, are considered the individuated Soul. Jai Masters means Glory to the Masters, some of whom Singer refers to at times.
Thank you for visiting. Peace, my friend.

When someone I love says something unloving or when he sees things in a negative, depressive way, I don't let it bother me. I don't let myself react to it. I simply let it go. I can turn the situation around and turn what I hear into something funny, so I don't block the flow of loving energy inside of me and begin to react in a negative, depressive way myself. I will be much happier if all the little things how another sees things stop bothering me. I just relax, see the funny part of the situation, and let it go! I practice it whenever a person I love and who loves me says or acts negatively toward me or shares some of his negative experiences; I don't take it personally, and I refuse to let it bother me. I just relax, release my reactive energy, try to see what could be funny about the situation, and keep enjoying the moment anyway.

How do you stay in relationship to someone who behaves in ways that impacts your life? How do you decide to stay or leave?

This is in alignment with the teachings of A Course In Miracles. The idea of "forgiveness" is to first recognize that WE are the maker of the problem (it comes from our own perception, not the world itself), then we ask for a new perception (realizing that WE are the cause and the world is our effect), and LET GO. This is the way to self-mastery and to see peace in all of it.

Thank you for yet another deep and valuable insight. I realize what blocked me and i still struggle to totally unblock. My mum committed suicide when i was 7 and i just feel there is a hole i am still unable to fill….and i feel it most in a relationship, the anxiety that this person will leave too…

I have to free 🆓 myself from myself as a person, an Ego, that’s always in desires, worries, clinging etc.
I want to die before I die like the #sufi tradition shows- like to dance 💃 on a soul plane in order to feel love, peace and hopefully bliss inside ❤

If you have a need in relationship and you are aware it is in an attenpt to feel a certain way... you let it go....then how does the relationship work? If they didn't want to see me most of the time and kept me a secret....I loved them anyway...but how do I just let that be and stay in relationship? How do I walk away if isn't from a place of feeling one way or another about the experience I am invovled in ? Feeling stuck 😅

Exactly what I ask myself.. even tho I know Mickey says there is no decision to make it's hard for me when to know to leave the relationship beacuse it feels like the person doesn't ever care for it.. talks really bad to me just for anything, ignores and more.. when do you leave? Or is it my mind and how I see it? Sometimes it confuses me to see if it's me and how I take it or if it's really the other person been a way that wouldn't be nice to be like that to anyone honestly..
