My husband loved this song and he always smiled when I sang it. Our relationship began with zombies and this song always made us so happy. He passed away on August 4th 2018... When I went to see him before he was cremated I sang this song to him. It was one of the final things I said to him before my last goodbye. Thank you for happy memories your work gave us.
I love that the series is about vampires and has nothing to do with a song about zombies (even though there are zombies in the series, but very few), but the opening of the series is still BEAUTIFUL
2023, this song is actually really fucking good. I used to think this was cringe back in like 2015 but rewatching it had made me realize this is absolute fire.
I started it and within the first few chords immediately just looked up the music video and looked to find your comment and then screamed at all my friends.
Back in middle school, my baby sister was absolutely obsessed with this song. Me, in my rebellious "everything else that I don't like sucks" phase, nitpicked this song every time it played and it made my sister so mad. Fast forward 9 years later, I'm jamming to this song at work. Now I feel like I gotta apologize to her for that, even though she was like 5 or 6 then and wouldn't remember a thing about it now.
If you haven't already, go ahead and apologize, even out of the blue. You really never know what sticks in a child's brain. Man this song is amazing. I love the instrumentation and all the little touches everywhere. The staccato and wind down in the second verse adds so much to the environment of the song. The bass dives are perfect to remind you how creepy it sounds when the bass isnt there. I like how in the chorus the bass trades off a driving feel with a stumbling, plodding feel in counterpoint with the vocals. The way the guitar is super fat and panned way right and the synth bells are tight and panned way left makes it feel like the creepy noise is right over your shoulder. The guitar is run through a flanger or phaser for the bridge and its pulse makes the backing vocals a lot deeper. Also I just love the way you sing. That "yeah, oh" is always in and out of my head. Awesome song, thank you so much for this and all the hard work you put into it!

Man this song is amazing. I love the instrumentation and all the little touches everywhere. The staccato and wind down in the second verse adds so much to the environment of the song. The bass dives are perfect to remind you how creepy it sounds when the bass isnt there. I like how in the chorus the bass trades off a driving feel with a stumbling, plodding feel in counterpoint with the vocals. The way the guitar is super fat and panned way right and the synth bells are tight and panned way left makes it feel like the creepy noise is right over your shoulder. The guitar is run through a flanger or phaser for the bridge and its pulse makes the backing vocals a lot deeper. Also I just love the way you sing. That "yeah, oh" is always in and out of my head. Awesome song, thank you so much for this and all the hard work you put into it!
