Spanky's (Upper BX) Trail - Vernon, BC

Back in the 90's, a group of OG riders built Spanky's trail in Vernon, British Columbia. It was a sweet single track made with a whole lot of passion but by the early 2000's it was shut down. It's been a while, but underneath years of neglect, that old trail was waiting to be reborn.
That time is now!
With some re-routes, boardwalks, bridges and more, Spanky's (Upper BX) Trail has been reborn as a 5.5km multi-use trail.
It's a beautiful trail to enjoy the creeks, huge cedars, and birds of the area on a hike. Or if 2 wheels are your preferred transportation, the descent has steeps, techy rocks, berms, coastal roots and it's a rippin' good time!
ACCESS: There's a new parking lot just before Sovereign Lake Road on the right and the trail comes out onto Forsberg Road where side-road parking is available.
There was so much collaboration that went into this project so we want to shout out RDNO, BC Parks, NOCS, Techno Metal Post, Monashee Helicopters, and Terry Schmidt for all of your contributions to making this trail happen. It was a true team effort and we couldn't be more excited to have been a part of it.
