If I were the president of BNSF, I would have GE make some more Dash 9's and other locomotives and have them paint them in a Santa Fe paint scheme and we would call them our Heritage Units.
I didn't even think about that looking back on it now!!! Very true, I still chase the trains through that area in Moore, the neighborhoods have begun to be rebuilt fairly well, wonder how things will go this year?
Kyle Heying i have not seen much supercell activity lately on youtube, but do to that i think it`s going to be the year of the F6. and i men`t in el reno. at the 1st train on the video, a location just down the line was hit directly.
SILVIC THEHEDGEHOG oh sorry man the first train as at South Shields street in downtown OKC just south of the train station, my mistake! Oh I hope they don't get any bigger though....
Thanks for the positive word dude! I've never really been too sure either, I know I do not do the whole monetization thing either so I don't get featured, I do use a lot of tags though, but still surprisingly few hits and even fewer comments. Added ya, got some nice videos there!
That one is a nice location at the end of the siding in Norman on the northside. Its along Rock Creek road, there are parking lots to businesses over there that don't mind railfans.
I'm really jealous of the catch of the yard switchers. Seems like all I ever manage to see is GEVO's and more GEVO's! Regardless, great work! Are you still in the OKC-Norman area? If so, maybe we could meet up trackside at some point.
I live and work in Norman, live near the tracks too by the hwy 9 overpass. I can be found most weekends over at the South Canadian Model railroad club over in the old Crossroads Mall running in the HO layout, if ya ever see a green 300 chasing a train ya will know its me.
Well how about that! I was a member there a few years ago, and I've had half a mind to rejoin this fall with a buddy of mine. It's still kind of up in the air at the moment, but I think I'll try to make it this weekend.
I will be there after 2pm on Saturday, not sure about Sunday due to work though. A few things have changed on the layout, new members too including me I have only been there a year now.
I'd go Saturday, but its OU gameday and I flat refuse to chance messing with traffic because of that. It's sure to be even worse than usual because of all of the construction on Highway 9 and Lindsey Street.
How could there be no comments here? This is a pretty good video, and most people would've commented on it by now
Part of BNSF's Transcon passes to the northwest by the Panhandle
When I was railfanning in Moore last a few weekends ago, I saw 4 warbonnets and even some CSX power!
Nice video! That first train was awesome because of the engines.
Just wondering - does Edmond have any rail action including OKC? Thanx 😎
Scooby Carr yes. There are a few decent spotting locations north of Britton road.
Kyle Heying Okeedokee thanks for the info 😎

Also does anyone here miss the Santa Fe?
dude in 4 months a tornado 2.6 miles wide will hit in that area where the video started.

Kyle Heying well it all depens on damage so if cities get bigger a tornado with windspeeds of an F3 can be a F6.

3:14 that's a heritage hopper
at 5:14 are these the old Santa Fe bells at this railroad crossing?
Dunno
How often does the train go through Norman, OK on the BNSF line? My guess would be about 25-35 trains a day.
I'm not sure how many exactly. At one time of day you might have 1 an hour, at another time of day maybe a train every 15 mins. It varies a lot.
@@AC_WILDCARD It must vary by hour, I know that is the case with the BNSF Fallbridge Sub over in the Tri-Cities, WA (where I live at)
Where exactly in Moore? Hopefully I can shoot a video also
By Crossroads mall is a good area, as well as at crossings along the way south to Norman.
Do you know the location of the crossing at 5:10?

+Kyle Heying Thank you
could you re-upload those bnsf norman videos from 2006
+Alex Paumen I would say yes but... I didn't start recording BNSF until 2011 lol I think ya have the wrong person!

I understand completely lol I always have to time my escape during game days. I'm guessing ya live west of the metro area?
