Thank you for this informative and entertaining video! MSC definitely knows how to decorate their ships! If you’re able to, please live a little, and try Atlas Cruises. I hear that they are amazing!
I’ve been on Explora I twice and will be on II this December. FYI. The ship holds a maximum of 900 passengers. So while the venues seem small; there’s a reason for that. It’s not a 5000 passenger ship. When I was on her both times; the casino was never packed. Practically empty. The shows almost the same. Now you only had 600 on your sailing. They very rarely sail at max so people like me enjoy the space. It’s like your own private yacht. Also the powers that be are aware of the issue with those couches in the elevator lobbies. It’s been a peeve of many passengers including myself especially on the inaugural. Looking forward to more videos from you guys. 😊
Yup. Explora is basically 1 entire Yacht Club ship experience! But with many restaurants and all included🎉 Its most definitely about pure relaxation, indulgence and enjoying all the port visits/itenaries. Its not a family fun ship. Its a luxurious transport. I wouldn't take young kids on it, if you're wanting fun at sea.
Thanks for remembering us. This was not a media cruise. It looked like they had invited some travel agents for this trip but we were not part of anything. Just like all our other trips we just found a good deal and booked it.
Enjoyed the video . Emma did not seem too excited 😄😄😄 . Did they have any IPA’s on the ship ? Thanks for the video. We are booked on Ncl Breakaway on of nyc at the end of October. Going to Bermuda for the second time ! We are staying in a forward facing penthouse. Looking forward to the Haven once again. Broadway shows will be booked.🍺
They did not have any IPAs on the ship. Apparently they were out of stock when they ordered. We head on the NCL Prima in a few weeks in the Haven. Will be sharing an updated review on the Haven. Have fun!
@@lindsayslivealittle I can’t wait to hear your opinion on the Prima. We were on the Prima in the Haven last January and we were a bit disappointed in the ship. Loved the Haven bar and the restaurant though.
Thanks for watching. On our sailing there was 3-4 teens. But they said the sailing before had a lot more kids. So I think it just depends on the itinerary (and probably school breaks).
The gifted water flasks: you dont need a water fountain to fill them if you're on a luxury cruise, cos they give you mineral water.🎉. Theyre more a gift to take home.
They are definitely a gift to take home and I have been using them at home. I think the point I was trying to say was that it would have been nice to fill them up and take them when we got off at a port.
Ooo good question! So both have great food! But I think Explora has better food and more included options! What would be considered a specialty dining on other lines is included! (Like steak house, Asian restaurant ect.) So something to fit everyone’s taste. Hands down Explora buffet was better than Celebrity’s buffet! Thanks for watching!
@@lindsayslivealittle Since this is a luxury cruiseline, i'm thinking Oceania or Viking would be a better comparison for food? How does the food compare to Oceania? And when you said Explora had better food than Celebrity, were you talking about Luminae specifically or general MDR Celebrity food? Thanks!!
@@christiandiablo9499that is a great question but have not done Oceania or Viking yet. Explores price point is significantly cheaper than both of those and is relatively similar to Celebrity Retreat and NCL Haven.
Explora 1 and 2 are not what we would consider specifically kid friendly. However, they offer a kids program and have small area specifically for kids that we will show in our ship tour. But they did tell us Explora 3 will have a much larger kids area and designed more for families.
@@lindsayslivealittle Exciting to hear there will be a true luxury option that is more kid friendly! We have two kids and most of the current Explora rooms only allow 1 kid (with the exception of the most expensive rooms)... Hopefully Explora 3 sets sail while our kids are still young!
I agree. I didn’t understand why they couldn’t have more people in a room especially after seeing the size of some of them. Definitely makes it harder for families. The current kids clubs were 6 years plus to leave them. They had open hours where younger could play in the room with their parents! (Not a huge space) but they did say Explora 3 will have one for younger kids as well. On our sailing there was only 3 teens.
@@lindsayslivealittle Especially since your room looked nearly identical to the YC rooms on MSC (with nicer finishings) that holds 4 people. I'm guessing they're doing that intentionally to limit how many kids are on the ship. It looks like you guys had an amazing time in any case... Thanks for sharing it with us! Explora is definitely on our list but we're cashing in our kids-free trip with the grandparents to do the Retreat on the Celebrity Equinox in a month...9 days on the Mediterranean across Italy, France, and Spain, can't wait!

Explora I looks amazing. Is it your favorite cruise ship now?
Toughest question. It is a great bang for your buck and a beautiful ship. However, it may be best for couples vs families.
We are doing Explora I in Oct/Nov in the Mediterranean. Can’t wait.
We had an amazing time. Will have a full ship tour and more reviews coming out this month.
Did you enjoy, we are looking at august next year!

We will look into Atlas. Have looked at them before and they are a bit out of budget. If we find a good deal, we will jump on it though.

Hi, great great video! Were there many kids onboard?

Believe rooms are almost identical but those just refer to location on the ship

Amazing! 🥰
With such monotonous, dull, and plain decoration, is this really a luxurious cruise ship?
To each their own but it felt like it.
With San Francisco being a sh*thole, I can understand why no one wants to spend any significant time there...
We actually had a great time and spent the entire day walking through the city.
It was better than we expected and cleaned up a bit from our last time there.
You must be a far right winger making this comment..LOL....I LOVE SF!

Like all lying cruise lines, none of their rooms are suites, but a few…a suite by definition has a SEPERATE BEDROOM.
It is a marketing method
