great review and ive narrowed my search down to the Q8 and the RD830 but was having trouble figuring out what the exact differences are. Im assuming the main diff is the streaming and smart TV stuff? Looking to set it up once in a while outside on out patio and also take in the motorhome. Thanks
Hope you enjoy yours! Let me know if you have any questions about them. The streaming is definitely the biggest difference and I believe the RD830 was maybe a bit sharper overall but they are very close in specs otherwise.

@@arminder392 really nice. I went through probably 10 other 1080p native projectors in a 3 month period but all kept getting dust inside or just not as much adjustability for me. This one has been great!
What's the recommendation between RD830 Vs Ultimea P40?

Does the Q8 or RD830 produce a better projected picture? Is it a noticeable difference? I just ordered the Q8, since it was the newer model, and had Apps built in. So I assumed it was the nicer model.
Hey, how do you like the picture of the Q8? Have you tried it yet? It's not going to be a huge difference. If you're unhappy with it, then you can try out the RD830 but it is nice having the built in apps if you want to not worry about hooking up/purchasing another device.

Hey, unless you plan on moving this around a lot, I prefer the experience of the RD830 with another streaming device attached to it!

It depends on the scenario but the picture seemed *slightly* sharper on the models I tested on the RD830 but the Q8 has the built in Android interface which may be more convenient for some. The Netflix app is not the easiest for navigation on the Q8 with just a remote. Therefore, if someone already has a streaming device or plans to use an external one anyway, the RD830 is probably the better option in my opinion. The sound on both is EXCELLENT.
How does the picture quality compare to RD380 for image quality? I found that I lost details in the highlights in the RD380 when compared with the Nexigo PJ40.
I believe the RD830 is a little bit more clear and maybe a bit better saturation, so if anyone doesn't care much about the Android interface and plan on using something else, I'd recommend the RD830.

Do you plan on moving this around a lot? Taking it places? If so, I'd go with this one. If you're going to just have it at home in the same room, then RD830 with a Fire Stick, Roku, etc would be best.

@@CandidTechTV I'll try to see if I can to acquire this projector once I remodel some rooms. Could just use it for my bedroom without a TV, hook either a Roku or a Blu-Ray player for simplicity. Always wanted a project for years but always have been hesitant because I don't know what the life span would be on it before I'd have to hunt for a new bulb.
Vizony sounds like if Vizio and Sony gave their kid that name just to mess with him
Haha. The nice thing with these LED projectors is the lifespan is like 50,000 hrs so you'll likely just be upgrading the projector before you reach that. The old days of having to keep replacing a bulb is over fortunately.

I haven't experienced that on any of the LCD models I've tested, but I would just try to avoid having static images up there long. Typically I use mine for streaming and haven't ran into any issues.
I purchased the vizony projector, but cannot get netflix or amazon prime to stream - disney and some others work - I tried just wifi and also HDMI with my mac - nothing seems to work - any thoughts?
It might be due to copyright protections then specifically for those apps? Honestly the easiest thing to do is to get an Amazon Fire Stick and stream things that way. It's a super easy interface to use too. Then you have all of your apps right there.
What color screen are you using to get the colors to pop?

Got one few months ago, picture is really good i advize though getting a good screen if you dont have one make sure its up against a flat wall, the audio literally sounds like a surround sound and it runs quite.i spend forever choosing one and i dont regret my decision only downside is when youre on a app u have to switch between mouse mode to click on something and off mouse mode to scroll to look for something and for some reason i cant scroll on netflix to watch something on Netflix i have to search exactly what i want to watch and the focusing is A+, im at an angle and it doesnt effect nothing it fixed itself

Hello @CandidTechTV, Love your videos so so much... can you please help pick one; Vizony rd830, Ultimea Apollo p40 or Vizony q8?
I really like the RD830 and it will be about 100 ANSI lumens brighter (800 vs 700) than the Ultimea. If you are really going to move it around, then go with the Q8 as it will have the streaming interface built in, but otherwise I love the RD830 and hooking up another streaming device to it!
Is this just the same as the wimius p64?
I think it's closer to the Vizony RD830 as the Wimius P64 does not have a built in Android TV interface like this one does. The Vizony RD830 has 800 ANSI lumens brightness however, compared to only 500 ANSI lumens on the Wimius P64. They likely are from the same manufacturer, with different specs based on the brand selling it.

As I said in another comment, that's not always the case. The listed specs aren't exactly the same (like brightness and speakers = 800 vs 500 ANSI lumens and 15W vs 12W). They could be or the internals could be slightly different. I've seen companies upgrade a model from 720p to 1080p and it's the same housing. Even if they were manufactured in the same place, the internals can be upgraded depending on the company.
