    i usually eat a traditional german breakfast heres the recipe: 1- make too much food for dinner 2- put left overs into fridge 3- eat cold 3 minutes before work. Enjoy! ^^

    5:57 I really like that you're being honest about the salmon didn't turn out so good. 😂 But that happens sometimes when you cook for own meal. No one to judge but yourself.
    I really enjoyed watching this!

    After binging a whole bunch of Yuya's videos, I've gotta say that he's refreshingly earnest and down-to-earth, there's not a bunch of sensationalizing or clickbait, and the little asides like talking about the chopstick stand are honestly just really sweet moments. Loving these videos, dude.

    I love salmon for breakfast. Chazuke with salmon actually made it into my daily breakfast repertoire. Once the rice is cooked it's so easy to make. I can put on the rice cooker, go for a jog and get to eat not even 10 minutes after I come back.

    Japanese breakfast : thank you for the good food.
    American breakfast : hand me the milk. I need it for my mass produced corn and sugar-based kibble.

    • @WeirdPros
      @WeirdPros 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Corn just grows like that, bud, it's not "mass produced" in some factory.
      That's like saying "mass produced rice"
      Yes, I know what you meant.
      Hallo, this is joke.

      Remember he said this was a slightly more labor intensive breakfast. I guess you could compare it to pancakes or bacon, eggs, and biscuits. Japanese people also often eat simpler things like toast, yogurt, fruit, rice with egg, or even instant noodles.

    I don’t know why but watching how you handle the knife made my heart flutter. Love a guy who knows how to handle himself in a kitchen! Also THANK YOU for cutting the tofu in your hand! When I did that the first time I made miso soup, my roommate screamed at me because she thought I would cut myself lol

    I like how you were honest about the fact that people don't actually eat this kind of breakfast every day because of the effort.
    I think every country has its own version of an elaborate breakfast, and then in reality people a lot of the time eat something easier.

  • @afelias

    Wow, usually people want to showcase "their best dish" but this is surprisingly informative and interesting.
    Always wanted to know what's in miso soup, because I suspect what I get around here is commonly like an instant soup kinda thing.
    It's hard to substitute cooking sake and mirin (I haven't gotten any since uhh "community quarantine measures") but usually I just throw in a chicken stock cube when something calls for dashi. (It requires discretion.) Here in Southeast Asia we also have stuff called "fish sauce", which also helps kinda get there along stock.

    • @MaverickRiou
      @MaverickRiou 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I found that a white cooking wine or a sherry is similar in flavour to sake. For mirin, I found one at a Daiso one time. If I don’t have that, I add a bit of sugar into my dish.
