  • Shipping at the end of May 2017, Kato USA will be releasing a UNITRAM track oval set (previously only available in the appearance of Japanese style streets with left handed roads and Japanese road details) with a North American prototype appearance. With larger slab concrete sidewalks, right handed roads, and revised street lights and other roadside details this set is a great standalone or it can be combined with your existing UNITRACK layout!

I am liking the trend of bringing Japanese releases over and converting into their North American equivalents :)

Nice! Now we just need am American-style tram. I personally think the San Francisco MUNI would be cool.

Great video Thanks. My 2 V60 sets arrived today. I'm going to need 2 sets for the layout I want to build. Now I have to get 4 switches and a 90' crossing. then figure out the size of the table. I may make the whole thing portable. Just getting started here.

Is it possible for Kato to make Los Angeles metro blue line Nippon Sharyo P865 and P2020 light rail vehicles? I would definitely buy them

Now we got US style street tracks but still no US light rail equipment available?
    Maybe Twin Cities S70?

So excited by this, will a N scale N. American streetcar or LRT be coming soon?

This is a product that is just STARTING it's lifestyle and lifetime. In the current modeling environment of "less is more," it still has a LOT of growth built in, IF it can gather an audience. Otherwise, it will be like Z-scale railroading, sitting in model railroad limbo with relatively limited production due to low sales.

I just purchased one of these. In my own opinion it really isn't worth the money.. It's really small and it feels more like a toy then it does something to biuld on in a model railroad..
