- when you download animations from mixamo to use in unreal engine 5
you need root bone for it to work correctly in ue5

Hi, I have a problem. I added a root bone to a mixano vaulting animation, so when I click to vault the animation happens without changing locations. I "enabled root motion" too and I tried to use unable but both don't work
It seems this no longer works in UE 5.1 or 5.2. I would love to see an updated video. Thank you for all of your effort!
doesnt the skeleton itself need to have a root bone aswell for the animation to work?

I'm getting a failed to merge bones error when trying to import the converted animation into Unreal Engine 5. Any ideas on how to fix this?

It Does Work but result animation is Flip...
