- Hey guys, for Unreal Engine 5.1, how to add a missing root bone if your FBX 3D avatar doesn't has a root bone, but it started with hip / pelvis? For some root motion retargeting, you really need your 3D Avatar to has his/her own root bone, how to quickly add a root bone for you in 1 minute? This is my step by step tutorial on how to do this! two solution, you can choose either one to add a root bone for your avatar:
use 3DXchange to auto add root bone (Fail)
use Character Creator 4 to auto add root bone (Success)
use Maya to manually add a root bone (Success)
