Pleasure to watch, I went through these steps a while back on a pair of lenses 40 & 40-2 , one of them was really excessively bad. I was using methods and principals detailed in your other videos , to the point I had your voice in my head while working, using isopropyl as penetration fluid on stuck parts is really helpful as are building gloves, the hardest part I found on one was separating the front elements , front lens had fungus on back and the filter ring was bent, after slowly getting the ring as good as I could with a thread stretching tool , (it takes a filter or hood now)to remove the name ring the lens wrench needed to be in a vice, and the big gloves came out, wrench got a little bent, all got cleaned and put together,
Thank you for the videos , they are a great help for fixing specific lenses, and give the knowledge for servicing most lenses lens, example pancolar 1.8 50 with a jammed focus.

Amazing video! Just one quick question, what did you clean the old grease with? In the video you left, came back and it was all clean 🥲 lol. If you could please give me an advice on that, i would really appreciate it! Thanks in advance! Love your videos!

I have a lens that moves a little back and forth. After opening up it looks like I’m missing a couple of those super tiny screws on that black ring you measured 1.3 x 1.68mm Does anybody know where to get them? The lens works but I have to make sure I pull out the lens to get it to focus properly but a couple of those screws I think would solve this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for the references where to buy equipment . I have sometimes used other greases , but they were very smelly . Is the liqui-molly also smelly or not ? Is it toxic to touch ?

I always enjoy watching your videos, Very informative.. Any suggestions or tips on keeping dust out when cleaning elements and final assembly? Perhaps you'd do a video in the future on the subject.. keep up the good work.. And do keep your eyes open for any RE auto topcor lenses.. I know you would really appreciate the engineering that goes into them..( Even the aperture ring runs in a ball race with 1mm ball bearings !!!). : )
