- One of the best train route of Switzerland is the GLACIER EXPRESS TRAIN. It runs from St Moritz to Zermatt, the 2 beautiful ski resorts of Switzerland.
WE took the train from Zurich to Chur and from Chur we boarded The Glacier Express train to Brig and then went to Interlaken. It is said that the journey from Chur to Brig is the most scenic one and yes. Its true. Please watch till the end to enjoy the journey with us. The vlog contains our journey from Zurich to Interlaken and full of scenic beauty of Switzerland. Hello, I see you have a child while travelling .. we are travelling this month with 2 children below 16yrs .. we hold Swiss travel pass 2nd class with Swiss family card ..what option do we choose while booking glacier express ? Child 6-15.9 yrs or Swiss travel pass ?
Thank you for watching our travel chanel. Since your children are below 16 yrs they are free in Swiss travel pass. While booking in glacier express, the app will ask the name, birthdates of all the individual travelling. Input all the details required in each sections And then if you have Swiss family travel pass already, then input in your “ reduction” section. Automatically while booking, the app will take the informations and give you discount or reductions if any. But there are no reduction in seat booking. Please do check the footnotes given in the pages as rules keep changing. Happy travels. Regards
Did you plan your tour on own or booked through any operator
Is any vegetarian option avilable on glacier express or do we have to carry food on our own (we are vegetarians/jain option people)
Yes we organised the tour on our own. Yes definitely one can carry their own food. We too carried ready to eats with us for the entire tour for us and specially in Switzerland, coop store is good. In the train’s menu Jain food is available or not, that I’m unsure of.
how did you get rice and butter chicken?
We prebooked our meal but while onboard in the train itself there is a menu card on each table and if it is available you can order .

Sir, I have two questions
1) Do we have to get separate Swiss Travel Pass for each member of the family or one combined Pass to be bought with total cost for the number of members? and
2) Do we have to take separate reservation for each member of the family or one combined reservation ticket for the total family members?

Yes they do have power sockets.
