Eddie Nketiah came into the senior team during the Wenger years - coming off the bench and scoring as a youngster. He could have been the ‘oldest’ member of the current squad after Mohamed El Neny’s departure. At 25 he deserves to be playing regular football and Crystal Palace seems the perfect place for him to be. I wish Eddie every success and wouldn’t be surprised if he forced his way back into the reckoning as an England international.
He is not ready yet. He will peak when he is around 27
His goal against, Man united on the last minute last season will always be my favorite of his goals
Odegaard's shot was going in. Nketiah wanted the glory so he tried to touch it, risking an offside since he was in a risky offside position. He has always been a selfish player that berates his teammates for not passing to him for an easy tap in. Sometimes even not celebrating when teammates score goals. Even his hattrick vs Sheffield Utd is so flukey.
When Emile Smith Rowe, Iwobi, Giroud, Balogun left, I feel sad. Nketiah? Good riddance.

The reason we wanted him gone when Marseille made the smaller offer is because the window is running out and we all understand how paramount it is we get an upgrade on Eddie (whether he stayed or not).

Nketiah is an addition I like. I personally don’t see him taking Mateta’s place, but I think he might be able to cause Kamada some problems. Kamada has looked more like a second striker in his 10 position behind Mateta & I think Nketiah would thrive in this role if he can nail down a starting spot

If you want to protect the value of player, as many clubs do, sell or sign new contract with the player at least a year b4 the contract ends. Not wait until the year they go for free. I dun think Arsenal made a good business decision here by leaving it so late and by then had no choice by offering him increased wages and the number 14 to entice him to stay. Don't agree with saving his value to the club, he signed new deal in jun 22.
Since then has not really played much and taken wages, some might also say cost Arsenal a league title as we didn't have another striker to dip into.
So yeah we got 30mil but should of sold him 2 years ago and not paid home the 9mil in wages
