Revolution wheels look spot on
For authentic look, only the Revolutions will do.
The purist in me thinks the door conversion wasn't really a success. It's a lot of welding work, but I would get a set of proper "2-door car" doors and fit them.....
Put the rear doors back in looks odd or your front doors have shrunk
Yup.....It does mess with the flow of the lines of the car.
13" rims, twin Weber side draft's and please round headlights.
Sounds like a proper 70's Scrote 👍👍
class , big boar exhaust, car fluffy dice sorted
Where did you source the fender flares.mate....im building that red mk1 in Jamaica ....I also have a set of 2 door rear quarter panels
I remember a Corgi (or Matchbox Escort Mk1 Rally Car I had in the seventies. Loved that little car. Metallic blue with the wide arches, stripes etc. So this project of yours is causing a big chunk of nostalgia (can you still get nostalgia in lumps or is it sold by the gramme these days?). Looking forward to seeing the progress on this one. Just for the record (or CD or 8 track) 13" wheels look by far the best 🙏 I'm not into this current phase of lowering cars until they rip the arches off. 👍
I wouldn't do the 18/17s and depends if you want to go original rally homologation or modern specs also I would go clear perspex all round cheaper and won't make it look like a van but like the rendering clean
intresting project without question the 13 in wheels it has to be as its not standard allready with the pinto + type 9 welded up doors etc how far do you want to go personally i would bin the live axle opting for trailing arms and didion axle with solid mounted lsd diff from a sierra and coilover shocks as most lotus 7 kit cars ran or did run sierra running gear all this stuff is available plus i know youve got the webber but as your bikers the pinto runns well on a set of r1 carbs look
th-cam.com/video/-NImSWF0DfM/w-d-xo.html
if your not going to discs on the live axle you need willwoods on the front but you may not get the 13in wheels on its a compromise you may have to make but intresting non the less
Type 9 box not legal for historic road rallying
Will be a road going rally rep, not to actually rally.
A boot space ain't a boot space unless it contains crap.
13 r beat
Q: wtf happened to all of marks bikes?!
A: he still has them ;)
@@TOTk1980 Most of them....something to discuss in the Q&A perhaps?
Your going to be well into your 60s before you finish all of these projects ! 🤔
Again large arches not legal in historic road rallying
What happened to this project
Lost me soon as it a 4 door good bye
