When you listen carefully to the recording, you can hear this laughter (but which one?). A few days ago, their AC/DC cover exceeded 1 million as their 18th song. I seem to remember an interview where Mayu surprised Tamu by revealing this song was partly written about Tamu. They certainly are all Fighters! Love them.
This is one of Nemophila's first original songs, composed by Kensuke Akiyama with lyrics by Mayu. When I saw Nemophila live last year, they played Fighter as part of a medley with 3 or 4 other songs. I put their show only behind Jinjer of all the concerts I saw in 2023. Kensuke announced he was no longer a composer and producer for the band at about the same time Saki left the band. It will be interesting to see who will now have creative control of the band going forward (I have no doubt that Mayu will remain the primary lyricist).
You only have to watch the MV for their new song 'G.O.D' to see that Hazuki can definitely hold her own. I wish SAKI was still in the band but Hazuki is perfectly capable of being the sole guitar player, so long as the songs are arranged for that. Mayu has also started playing a little rhythm guitar on a few songs at live shows so, on some of the more straightforward songs, she can help fill out the soundscape.
