Guilty of stealing the show, John Payne, the notorious One Arm Bandit, has been voted the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association Speciality Act of the year 15 times since 1988. In the 90’s John’s son, Lynn, and daughter, Amanda, hit the road and took the show in three directions traveling across the country making crowds go wild. The One Arm Bandit also entertained the King of Oman in 2011. The show includes Mustangs, Longhorn Steers or majestic South Dakota Buffalo. Having his son and daughter displaying their talents and forming the One Arm Bandit & Company is very fulling to the Bandit; they truly are his right hand! The audience at Night of the Horse will be part of Bandit’s story this year as Videographers film footage at the show for the One Arm Bandit’s documentary!

I’m sorry but I’m not a fan of this act. The guy was spurring the heck out of his mount and how he acted towards the steer was not ok

The guy is a fool who doesn't know how to handle animals. He wants attention, that is all. This performance is completely unacceptable to any decent human being. Good riders NEVER treat animals this way.

I'm guessing you've never dealt with a mule before? Or have ever felt a mules hide? Or have ever ridden any horse or have done any discipline?
A horse can easily feel a fly, he can definitely feel an “aid” without heavy pressure and so can a mule. I have two mules. They are not senselessly stubborn they are exceptionally smart.
To add to that spurs can cause a lot of damage, I bet you take a close look that mule will have scars on his belly from being spurred so much. Also check out the background at 8:11 what the two are doing to the horse is not ok

Why did he all of a sudden kick his horse like just click you told it to stand there so you can’t just kick your horse right away! Also he kicked the bull/whatever it is and it was obviously scared. I honestly think this dude trains his animals harshly. There were tons of times where he or someone else hit or kicked hard with spurs in the show which I’m very angry about. NO NO NO this is disgusting

The music was scary for the animals, the whips and lassos were, too. These men claim to be men of God, but no man of God would beat his horse or harm or scare animals in such a way. Shut up I work with horses all the time and I help and respec t my horses I also rodeo music does not scar them nor does ropes and wipes they if it was the horses would hate there owner when walk out to the stalls my horses run to me to get saddled and exercise so don't say stuff you know nothing about

That's a lot of assumptions. Just cause there are worse things doesn't make it right. I would like to here what you would have to say if one of those animals gets injured by falling off that trailer and is euthanized.

These cattle are definitely a crossbred but good looking cattle. Seems like one horse threw the rider ,maybe it's time to give this horse a break,Tennessee walker is a gaited horse,see how hard it is for this horse to gallop,poor horse. How dangerous to have the ,what appears to be a cross of mule/horse ,animal jump off a moving vehicle. He does pretty much the same routine with bison.

Sara Eyler I disagree about them being under trained, in fact they are incredibly well trained. He sure asks a lot from them, no that’s not what I’d do with animals, no I wouldn’t ever want to have to spur them or put them in danger like that. He’s a talented rider and trainer, just maybe too driven.

They're not thin. That's a typical build for Longhorn/Watusi. They're hot weather breeds. Just like how a Greyhound doesn't look like a Labrador.
That's just the breed. Longhorns are VERY lean.
