  • Chasing an endless summer: Join us as we embark on an adventure of a lifetime chasing the sun to our new home in the Kingdom of Tonga. In this episode we show you our new island home and backyard dive site. We go out spearfishing and cook one of our favourite dishes.
    ** TONGA VOLCANIC ERUPTION*
I can see a number of you coming here due to the recent volcanic eruptions a few days ago. We are still waiting on contact from Tonga but in the meantime have set up a Gofundme if you would like to help out. Funds will help smaller grass-root projects get back up and running:

I moved from Tonga to Australia in 2005, 2020 I moved from Australia to United States and after watching this video I want to move back to Tonga! 😂 I remember growing up in Tonga we didn't have money but we didn't need it. We would go fishing and catch other things in the sea to eat. We would go hunting for meat and also grew our own vegetables. Now that I am old enough I learnt that living in the islands is much cheaper, stress free than living in country like Australia, America, New Zealand, England, Canada etc. Tonga and many other islands may not have materialistic things that these other countries have but they have all they need.

100%! After living in Samoa for a year and then Tonga we noticed the exact same thing. Less is more, the simple life is far less stressful and we found ourselves much happier because of it. Sorry for the late reply!

Where's your mom from? I'm half too. I look more palangi though but my mom remarried to Tongan so we were raised Tongan. I love going to Tongatapu because no one expects me to speak Tongan fluently. My son is blonde and he speaks Tongan too. We love going to Kolonga and cry when we leave in true Tongan fashion.

Interesting. Same here! I am in the process of purging all my dirt dwelling crap and will be buying a sailboat this summer/fall to start a circumnavigation. I will be fishing, scuba diving, spearfishing as well as participating in a number of citizen science data collection projects. All in the name of creating great TH-cam content. Maybe we can do a collaboration of some kind.

Hi Swnsasy, we are Australian but lived here in Tonga for a total of months while on a volunteer assignment. I would highly recommend traveling here before becoming a citizen. Get to know the place if you know what I mean. Best of luck!

Wow so fresh fish.nice background music. Hey I'll tell u something.it is much easier for you to climb that coconut tree if you make a step on the its trunk.by chopping a little bit just enough for your feet to fit in.but this is usually done when the tree is still young.

@@iffystill5554 I hear you the problems for Tonga started long ago, when the white man came with all his different religions, to confuse the people oh, and also to separate the Tongan people with denominations, they know that the Polynesians and the micronesian Are one of the 12 tribes of Israel, white people are also a problem to the Polynesian and micronesian people as well, Tongan people will make it, just got to come together as one.
