My training consisted of memorizing which lights needed to be on and which ones needed to off when monitoring the operator's console, even though I didn't have a clue what each light meant, and also a stern warning to keep my hands clear of the guillotine blade when cutting the bails of natural and synthetic rubber. I think most of the compounds I mixed was probably safe in the tires that my batches ended up in 🤔🤭😅🤣👍

Spyder Wayne, Yes sir. Retired 2 years ago. Riding a 2018 Spyder RTL. Also have a 2008 HD Road Glide but use the Spyder primarily. I've gone on long rides and many shorter rides since retiring. Planning a 30-day Coast-2-Coast (Florida to California & return) this October. Having a blast in my golden years (only 64) so plenty of great rides to plan & do. Love that you featured your life look back! What a great life and an awesome career! The elderly woman that I assist worked for Goodyear in Akron in the 50’s as a cartographer. She frequently tells me stories about what a good company they are. (Her work group treated her well as the only woman in the group and taught her to play bridge on their lunch break. She got to go up in the Goodyear plane.)
Putting this video together brought back wonderful memories and reminded me how blessed I've been and continue to be. The only thing missing is Gail, but she lives on in my heart. I have only 1 regret in my career at Goodyear... I never got a ride in one of the blimps... that would have been a blast. Thank you so much, Miriam, for your awesome comment 😊😁🤗👌

Air cadets was a blast. My only regret was quitting before 16 yrs of age. Had I stayed, I could have gotten a private pilot's license. Making this video brought back many fun memories of my youth, but now it's time to really enjoy the time that retirement gives us. 😁👍

But I've got lots of work to do on this house to get it ready to sell, I haven't given it much TLC for a few years Now, I gotta try and count all the Barbara's... it's gonna take me a while 😆🤣
None of my plans for 2024 are set in stone. Maybe a Spyder Fest in Arkansas in May, Spyders in the Ozarks (Missouri) in September, VAMM (VIrginia Motorcycle Meetup) in July. I have friends in Nova Scotia I'd like to visit, and friends in Quebec I'd like to visit. Oh yeah, RIde For Dad charity event in June in Southern Ontario. And a couple others. But nothing is final yet.

My angel was an ovarian cancer survivor, but she was a diabetic for over 50 years and I lost her due to heart failure. Over 42 years "service" but since Sumitomo acquired this plant in 2015 from Goodyear, I can't say over 42 years with "Goodyear", even though my service carried on after the acquisition.

As You MaY or Not know, im living in South East Alabama about 40 minutes North of the Gulf Coast, of the Gulf of Mexico. Besides the manY beaches and their beautiful SpYder routes, the temps are in the 70's about 9 months out of the Year. Just saYin'. Hint hint. 🤪😃🌞🌞

Well, since I'm from Canada, my comfy 40s and 50s is 'cool' with me. Those hot months down there are a little too hot for me, but I am looking at areas about half way between here and there ☺️😁👍

None of my plans for 2024 are set in stone. Maybe a Spyder Fest in Arkansas in May, Spyders in the Ozarks (Missouri) in September, VAMM (VIrginia Motorcycle Meetup) in July. I have friends in Nova Scotia I'd like to visit, and friends in Quebec I'd like to visit. Oh yeah, RIde For Dad charity event in June in Southern Ontario. And a couple others. But nothing is final yet.

@@SpyderWayne I went back for a minute & thought nah, I can make do on less. I’m so busy I don’t know how I ever had time to work! I’ve lost two husbands to cancer and one thing I’ve learned is that life is short. Live for today but don’t be stupid. lol
@peppermyntpatti144 Two husbands to the big "C"...🥺... one is rough enough, so sorry you had to endure that twice. My angel was an ovarian cancer survivor, but she was a diabetic for over 50 years and I lost her due to heart failure. Circle of life challenges are so very tough, but you are absolutely right... life is short, live and enjoy life today... and I do hope my stupid days are long behind me 👊😁👍
