So far, I am extremely happy with this bike. I'm still working on putting out a review. I've had crap audio issues with my first 2 video review attempts 🤬, including my review while on a 46 mile ride in this video. The only good audio on this ride was on my phone while reading that message on the picnic table. I selected this foldup bike to tuck in the back of my car, it does foldup fairly small. And it can go at least 60 miles on a ride 😁👍

@hawgryder51 This was the U.S. side, the Canadian side would be too busy (vehicles & pedestrians) to ride a bike that close to the Falls. And, uhh...umm...well er... the jacket... yeah, the weather at the Canadian border might be a couple (dozen) degrees lower than in Texas. Thanks, Martin 😨🤠

These poop birds give Canadians a bad reputation 😂 I hope all is well with you & John. @peppermyntpatti144 My Mini Mate Camper has been an absolute dream. I'm in the process of buying a Stinger trailer which will allow me to tow my Spyder on long-distance travel trips. Your dealer sounds like they want your money more often than needed. The Sypder does NOT need a service and oil change every 3000 mi or 5000 km. Yes, the manual says the 1st service is due at 3000 mi or 5000 km. There's confusion on the 2nd service, but it is due at 9300 mi or 15000 km on the odometer, and it's due every 9300 mi or 15000 km thereafter. But there's also the mention in the manual that says "or every 12 months. I've been averaging about 6000 mi per year, so I've been gettng my service once a year, which is at a 6000 mi interval. If I start travelling more, I still will probabaly get the oil changed closer to 6000 mi intervals, even though the manual says 9300 mi, I'm just not comfortable with going that many miles without an oil change, but that's my personal choice. I also know other Spyder owners who prefer changing their oil every 3000 mi, again a personal choice, but BRP recommends every 9300 mi or 15000 km. So you should just pick the interval you're comfortable with. 😁👍

@RonDunlop And oh yeah, by the way, $580 Cdn is pricey but still a fair bit better than the $505 U.S. I paid for this service in this video, but I'm not going back to this dealer.

@SpyderWayne I lost my truck keys twice this last year - easy Tile Tracker finding! I also have Tile Trackers on all cats collars; and hidden on my motorcycle, truck, snowblower, riding mower, and trailer (all those muted to not alert thieves) - so if any of those things disappear, me and the Police can track 'em down using my cellphone/Tile App. 2020 models with changeable batteries @ TARGET, ONLINE. X4 $90 USD. WORTH IT!

I built the L-shaped propane tank platform with 2 small pieces of 1/2 inch plywood, spray painted it with black Rustoleum paint-and-primer-in-one spray paint. Bought a bunch of hardware, nuts, bolts, washers, square u-bolts, etc., to put the platform together and to mount it on the tongue. On Amazon, I bought a "Vestil VB-E-S Wall-Mounted Steel Cylinder Bracket" which is the perfect size to secure the 5-lb propane tank. This homemade assembly has held up very well, for 3 years now. I don't have an extended tongue. It's the original tongue. First test, I was almost 70 lbs tongue weight, but after adjusting how I pack, my tongue weight is usually low to mid 50s. I put the heaviest gear behind the axel in the back lower part of the Mini Mate, power station, coleman stove, cast iron pans, etc., and that helped to reduce tongue weight. I would have to guess that since you have a ST1300 and a Mini Mate, you must also know of Old Guy on a Bike channel, Jim is a Mini Mate Master, and Mini Mate Mod King 😁👍👍

@MRMRS2wheeler My BougeRV 30 qt is 23 lbs, which is the main reason I didn't go with a larger one. I'm guessing yours is 35 to 40 lbs, maybe more if it has the battery. But after watching Jim''s videos, his tongue weight was more than 60 lbs, which tells me the ST is a towing beast 😁

@@SpyderWayne you're correct about the extra weight of the bigger cooler. I think it was around 35 lbs. But we ride 2up and need more space. I do leave it mostly empty and buy groceries when we get to camp to keep the weight down. And yes, the ST is a beast, but I am looking to upgrade to a goldwing. Age it's kicking in and the wing will be much more comfortable on our long rides.

@jonerwin1697 Oil change on a Spyder is relatively easy, but there are a number of required maintenance service items on the Spyder that I don't have the special tools needed, nor do I have BRP's Buds system to talk to all the electronic systems on the Spyder. But, I have found a reputable Spyder dealer with much better labor rates 😁👍

@catacomber8 It"s a folding table, 30" x 54" when open, and 30"x 27" when folded, about 3" thick. It gets packed in the camper with my gear, I love that table, It's about 20 years old. I tow my Mini Camper with my motorcycle. It can be towed by a car, but it's small as it was designed to be towed by a motorcycle.
