In Sweden, we are obliged to keep a floating layer in the slurry tanks to reduce the loss of ammonia. The ammonia is also valuable as fertilizer so I would not like if it evaporated. It doesn't have to be very thick but some floating layer is a good thing and I don't think it's that hard to mix it in prior to the slurry spreading.
