Bay area I think is a really hard place to run a card shop. High rent, small margins and such. But lots of great collectors/private sellers you can find online or at card shows. Also depends if you're just looking for sealed product around MSRP, vs buying single cards. That said, there are a few I'd recommend: - Tofu's Trading in San Jose - S&A Collectibles in Newark (I think only sealed, but good selection and fair prices) - 88 cardhouse in Newark - Legends Games in Milpitas There are game and comic focused shops that have Pokemon singles but based on my experience they are a bit harder to recommend. I've generally been a bit unimpressed with the card buying experience at places like D20 Games in Alameda.
