Do we need to get permission or connections to visit Tarbela Dam?? Because in other videos vloggers couldn't reach this part of Tarbela, and they just left after visiting the village outside.

Yep, special passes for dam visit will be granted to few visitors but it's not a tourist place anymore.
If you want to visit Tarbela lake then choose the other side of haripur and khalabut
