Compared to the original solo piano concerto finale, Busoni achieves a wondrous amalgam of Mozart's' learned' and 'galante' composition style in strident good humour: brilliantly portrayed by these virtuosi.
In this relatively easy piece, there are no challenging technical figures to ascertain who is the more fluent, or technically superior pianist. For what it's worth, I have heard Fialkowska in a commanding (attention!) performance of the Mephisto Waltz. [Not detracting a centimeter from my appraisal of Hamelin's *other-worldly* technical fluency.]
