Exactly, I was there live and can tell you that if you were there you would have been going nuts to this. I don't get how people find it so hard to grasp that bands sound different live to on recording because it's a completely different medium.

I am a drummer and it was all fine. One can't judge after the fact, in my opinion, because being there is a totally different vibe. @@joeshmoe7967 They are saying that because Dan Auerbach(the front man) and Patrick Carney(the drummer) started that band!😅 Who said that? They’ve never even played ha
You know what? People complaining about the rhythm screw you! this song is so perfect and when the tempo just goes crazy, i think thats just pure magic and talent. Yeah, you try that. And it still sounds perfect even though the tempo is off to mars. I love it! its classic.

This band is so awesome. Wow. Especially love the wild-armed cartoony drummer. He makes the band a blast to watch. And geez, does that lead guitarist burn down the house . . . keep rockin’, dudes.

Love that willful neglect video you posted. I got that record with the black and grey cover in huge bold lettering and another of theirs I think with some dude sitting in an electric chair with a mask on his face. I totally forgot about that band they rip. I tried to comment on your other videos
I feel like all the haters and knit pickers are what’s killing the rock genre. Here we have an authentic rock song from a real rock band who beat the odds and are actually successful in today’s music industry and half the comments are negative. Not only that but they are all knit picks. Almost every band who doesn’t use a metronome live tend to speed up and most rock bands were inspired partly by Zeppelin so yes, they may have touches of their style, like many bands before them. Stop looking for issues and enjoy rock and roll before it’s gone cuz when it is, some of people who miss it will be the ones to blame.
Love the raw performance. Patrick is just smashing the drums and Dan is right on pace with him. Yeah, his tempo is what it is. To me it's charming. It sounds like such raw rock and roll. At the heart of this band is friendship and their sound reflects that. Doesn't matter if Patrick isn't polished here- they rock it and people felt it!
The Black Keys are a rarity in today's music. If only there were more bands like them, this wouldn't be such a crappy music generation of auto-tuned, pre-recorded music.
Give their first two albums a listen, they started off as simply a duo recording Deep South Blues. They've now got a four-piece band and are playing arenas, shows anything is possible.
Pretty sure it's a Russian Big Muff. They're super rare and expensive even if you do find one. I'd just try it with a big muff and a marshall amp if I were you.
@ Alan Martin.....I hardly think Robert Plant would be in a position to say much at all, given LZ are currently being sued for plagiarism with STH in the first place. IMHO The Black Keys and this song in particular stand on their own merit. These guys know exactly what they are doing and they do it to perfection.
Common Avionics Tell that to Jack and Meg White. They played sloppy, without a set list and made mistakes on stage yet they made up for it with heart, soul and spontaneous creativity.
Yeah Pat's drumming sped up a bit, but when you're playing live, it's pretty fucking dope when everything picks up the tempo and goes super sonic.
it depends
Exactly, I was there live and can tell you that if you were there you would have been going nuts to this. I don't get how people find it so hard to grasp that bands sound different live to on recording because it's a completely different medium.
One reactor channel described it as Stairway to Heaven which is a pretty apt comparison!

God I love the Black Keys. Thank you for such fantastic music!
Perfect words! I am feeling what you are saying;
The way Dan and Pat connect is amazing. No words necessary, just a look and they're on the same page.
Danny H no not really. Most musicians with experience and that know the music know exactly where every note is.
@@commonavionics6069 when you play live shit happens and sometimes the rhythm section speeds up
