not sure if anyone cares but if you are stoned like me atm then you can stream pretty much all the new movies and series on Instaflixxer. Been binge watching with my gf for the last days =)
Nice job Justin. I feel that the bend played after the "crying bend" is played with a contrasting "attack" meant to portray frustration and demand attention almost as if he's asking if the crying bend has been acknowledged.
Amazing how 90% of this solo just uses three fret positions... It's when you add the bends and dynamics that Peter Green was a master of that it comes to life.
Great tutorial! I took your advice, and paused right at the beginning, went away for 45 minutes to an hour, and transcribed the intro. Well worth it, especially when I picked up on some of the VERY subtle notes. I think I missed out one or two that I picked up after watching this video, but no howling mistakes, only difference was I played the second note of the intro on the B string instead. Thanks again!
Thanks Justin , you're exactly the right guy if the question arises how to play a song in the right way . Any song , for anybody and for free . God bless you .Peace .
Ive only had my les paul gibson for 2 weeks and this video learned me to play this tune in 3 days. Ive only been playing a guitar full stop for 5 weeks , thanx guys.
Great lesson, Justin, as usual. This solo is not so much about what notes are played, but HOW they are played. And not played, too, as he uses the space between notes to enhance the feeling of it. Beautiful guitar playing by P.G.
Thanks Justin....for me Peter and Mike Bloomfield are the masters ....with Peter... it was the notes he didn’t play ....that made him so unique. Brilliant analogy....
Justin you are a superb guitarist and a talented teacher. I've been playing amatuer guitar for thirty years and am still learning thanks to you. I have subscribed to your lessons but as yet have not donated any money. You certainly deserve to be paid for what you do, how do I donate? Again thanks for sharing your talent and friendly approach.
Hi Justin Peter green is my ultimate favourite guitarist and you have just given me an insight to his playing technique thank you so much. Please can you tell me where I can purchase the backing music so I can play along to this. I have only been playing for a short time and picked it up quite fast including your police version of every breath you take. best wishes and please more blues. Andy
Man I feel proud of my self as I had managed to transcribe it myself and it has worked out to look identical to the way you do it and in the same places on the guitar.... maybe to some people it would be easy to work out but i'm just chuffed to have do it myself : ) I'm glad you mentioned to people transcribe it themselves.
great as usual, Jason, thank you! You could have mentioned that it's based around the D shape (because those shapes help me IMMENSLY, and maybe some other viewers/players would benefit as well?)
Thank you very much Justin. I have learnt 2 licks so far and hopefully tomorrow will finish it. Very good lesson for hopeless guitarist like me. Cheers from Indonesia.
great lesson what your trying to say is hear the basic and then make it your own love this love peter green Gary Moore and the great bb king for me the greatest guitar players ever and you Justin of course cheers mate.
Great work! Happy to have found this video, and by extension, your website, well detailed and useful information everywhere! Thanks for putting all the time to do all this
Its amazing how many different tabs are available for this song. 1 guys says the chords are "A A7 D EbDim A F#m Bm E A D7 A E7" is correct while another says the chords are "A A E E B7 A E E" is correct. In a nutshell, it is best for you to transcribe this song to the best of your ability and go from there! ;-)

Being a huge Gary Moore fan, Gary misses those subtle differences in the vibrato in favor of his preferred vibrato, still great, but listening to Peter Green and Fleetwood Mac, the song elicits an emotion very different than GM. Gary, you are aware of his prowess on the fretboard, while Peter, you are caught up in the song.
Thank you Justin, so much in awe of the feel and sound that Peter Green had as a player. Sure proves it's not the quantity of notes played but the quality of them!
Absolutely wonderful , Justin .I saw Fleetwood mac "yonks " ago and have always loved Peter Green , also the time when Jeremy Spencer was the "slide guitar " player and great vocalist !Pure les !
The video recording is a playback (the guitar isn't plugged in) and you can tell from the sound that Peter was playing his famous "out-of-phase" '58 Les Paul. He did use the Strat to play the high slide part on "Albatross".
Many thanks Justin. 'Simple but complex' sure sums up this beautiful solo where so much is down to the 'feeling' that PG put into it. Will you be doing the second solo from this tune anytime soon? Phil.
I think it would sound much more like Peter Green if you have used your fingers instead of a pick :) Especially the fleshy part of the thumb, it would give that percussive sound on the attack :)
Hi Justin, I've searched in vain for a tutorial for Squeeze 'Some Fantastic Place'. I wondered if you might consider putting one online. Many thanks. Keith
I stopped the video where he asked us and went ahead and transcribed the lead work in whole of the song i.e. the intro and the middle solo returned to check if i got it right and found out that Justin suggested transcribing the intro =____= gotta find a video where i can verify my middle solo too :P
Very nice Les Paul, Justin...If you don't mind, may I know what year that is and how much you got it for? Thanks for the lesson, by the way. I really appreciate it...:)
Not the hardest solo to master but it does feature some specific bending etc. so I would call it "beginner" either. Great piece to get into to soloing for sure! I love you man for this, it's like nobody remembers Peter anymore, there's hardly any lessons or covers of him, Peter is one of the all time greats

+Mark Wright I discovered him a few days ago very nice channel :)

I do. And one of my very few guitarist friends does to. We totally worship this song.

Peter Green is an Icon amongst guitarist 🎸 👍👍👍 BB King’s favorite, he said “ he can put him in tears 😭 “
Nice job Justin. I feel that the bend played after the "crying bend" is played with a contrasting "attack" meant to portray frustration and demand attention almost as if he's asking if the crying bend has been acknowledged.
Peter Green is an Icon
Huge one
'' dynamics and subtle inflections'' ...and that's how to express them the Justin way!
Brilliant J!
Golden
Peter got eternal with this one
Raw talent, no Berkeley, no shred, just the perfect notes at the perfect time
Glorious beast Mr Green
So grateful for your taste in music and happiness. You are a cool cat indeed!

" Im gonna find another you" sounds so much like this.. since it was recorded in the 60's.
Thanks Justin , you're exactly the right guy if the question arises how to play a song in the right way . Any song , for anybody and for free . God bless you .Peace .
Well done Justin, love Peter Green's music. Thanks for sharing these- it's nice to see great guitarists (like Green) style (s) taught.
Brilliant!!!!!!! Easily the best teacher online by a country mile. Fantastic choice for a classic Justin. Ever thought about doing Minor Swing?
Ive only had my les paul gibson for 2 weeks and this video learned me to play this tune in 3 days. Ive only been playing a guitar full stop for 5 weeks , thanx guys.
Really nice tip to just listen to it yourself and then check if you did it right afterwards. Worked for me, thanks!
Yes! My fav song from my fav album shire 69!!! Must have listen to this song over million times :) thank you Justin!!
Great lesson, Justin, as usual. This solo is not so much about what notes are
played, but HOW they are played. And not played, too, as he uses the space

Nice Justin...R.I.P. Peter Green...cheers
Peter Green. The best of the best
Thanks Justin....for me Peter and Mike Bloomfield are the masters ....with Peter... it was the notes he didn’t play ....that made him so unique.
Brilliant analogy....
I listened to 4 different versions yesterday Justin. Loved them all. Then you post this today. Thanks heaps!!!
I knew him and love this song since 80's, means I'm already old haaaaaaa

Great tuition as always from Justin, very grateful, nearly got this one! 👍
Less IS more ;-)
@Fire and Ice Moore is Moore
Sure is, and this solo proves it
Wonderful pedagogy, i am totally fan
Great choice for your classic solo guitar lessons!
Thanks for this lesson. I play this song often in my shows
great as usual, Jason, thank you! You could have mentioned that it's based around the D shape (because those shapes help me IMMENSLY, and maybe some other viewers/players would benefit as well?)
Wonderful, wonderful lesson. You are amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your skills and passion with us.
Thank you very much Justin. I have learnt 2 licks so far and hopefully tomorrow will finish it. Very good lesson for hopeless guitarist like me. Cheers from Indonesia.

Thanks Justin. Well done. Great presentation. Good pace. Nice tone.
More Peter Green Justin :D! Perhaps Man of the World?
PETER GREEN was so creative... Your so right ...Less is more...
Probably the most helpful technique video for my level. Thanks for that Jason!
Excellent, thanks for that one Justin, really clear and easy to follow!
Best part of that man got left in Munich..nice lesson thanks

I agree with the Guy below Peter Green was a genius

Great lesson, good explanation. Thanks Justin, I enjoy your tutorials.

AWESOME as always Justin!!! :) Love your lessons :)
Beautiful.
One Greeny song I would love to find a good tutorial for is Oh Well Pt. 2. It was my inspiration to learn to play.
fantastic playing Justin, thanks for your efforts!
i have waited my life for this thank you
Great lesson J, but (my opinion) we don’t need the spoon feeding (‘first finger 10th fret...’) now - your Camera work covers it!
Absolutely wonderful , Justin .I saw Fleetwood mac "yonks " ago and have always loved Peter Green , also the time when Jeremy Spencer was the "slide guitar " player and great vocalist !Pure les !
Great lesson and great advice too. Thanks very much Justin.
GREAT! Finally music for me..... :-)
Rarely seen tutorial. I have a personal interest in this early Fleetwood Mac stuff so more, if possible, please Justin!
learnt the Gary Moore verson of this a while ago, awesome tune, great vid as always J. Nice to see new vids appearing again, missed them
Don’t worry friend. I remember Peter Green (Greenbaum) . I’ll never forget how great he has been . .
How about the outro Justin? And why not use your Strat, as green used in the video recording? I know his LP was/is iconic though.
The video recording is a playback (the guitar isn't plugged in) and you can tell from the sound that Peter was playing his famous "out-of-phase" '58 Les Paul. He did use the Strat to play the high slide part on "Albatross".
Thanks a lot
nailed it dude..love your playing Justin..played with feeling
Many thanks Justin. 'Simple but complex' sure sums up this beautiful solo where so much is down to the 'feeling' that PG put into it. Will you be doing the second solo from this tune anytime soon?
Phil.

Such a great job - perfection!
NICE EFFING JOB!!!
Managed to learn the whole solo. Thanks dude
I know but I don't want my vid full of bad language and hate.
Beautiful solo, good choice. Oh, and that is one tasty Les Paul, Justin!
I think it would sound much more like Peter Green if you have used your fingers instead of a pick :) Especially the fleshy part of the thumb, it would give that percussive sound on the attack :)
wawww!! finaly found it :)) thank's justin! thank's a lot :) you and marty are the best!
Thanks a lot Justin..............
ANOTHER great job Justin. Congrats!!
Beautiful man and what a tune
Justin, you are just the greatest teacher. Could you do the second solo also, like in Peter Greens US version? Greeting from Denmark.

Thank You so much Justin!

Gruß
Rolf
I always seem to break a string when I do this song. What guage would you recommend?
Top work, mate. Keep it up. And ignore the spazzes who just want to complain and can't spell. Or play guitar. Nice Les Paul by the way.
Thank You Justin
Hi Justin, I've searched in vain for a tutorial for Squeeze 'Some Fantastic Place'. I wondered if you might consider putting one online. Many thanks. Keith
Justin you are the man
I stopped the video where he asked us and went ahead and transcribed the lead work in whole of the song i.e. the intro and the middle solo
returned to check if i got it right and found out that Justin suggested transcribing the intro =____=

Beautiful! Thanks Justin.
Very nice Les Paul, Justin...If you don't mind, may I know what year that is and how much you got it for? Thanks for the lesson, by the way. I really appreciate it...:)
is this solo for beginners would you say?
