I have no regrets because I accept that what my life so far has made me. I'm happy with me as a person 6 this moment. But would I go back, I'm 44, no I would not. There was plenty that was great. I mean I was born in 80. It was a great time to grow up. But I wouldn't even change the struggle. The people in my life and who I am would change, and I'd never want to lose that. As an older person I've thought about this question many times. I keep coming back to who that I love and have loved would I be willing to give up? The answer is, no one, I would do it all over again. Life is filled with good, bad, hard things, easy things, and they are all worth living through. Cause in the end, that's what makes life worth living, experiences, and those we love. Don't take it for granted, and don't wish it away! It goes by fast enough as it is. From what I’ve heard a lot of Kpop idols who grew up in the US faced a lot of struggles which were more or less related to the fact they didn’t grow up in South Korea. Ofc being a Kpop idol is never easy, but if you’re not born in Korea you will get criticised for things that were normal in the US but are not accepted in Korea, things you grew up thinking were normal. The US and South Korea are very far apart when it comes to social values like individualism vs community/collectivism, so someone who just wants to express themselves, be themselves, will have a hard time just for that alone in South Korea.
