Since time immemorial, there's a reason why a monster that must be summoned in a special way has low attack and defense. I mean, if my enemy has a monster with only 500 attack set up in attack position, attacking it without understanding their board setup is the last thing I'll do

True, it's like in the anime when some Jobber goes "hurr durr rank/level one with [low atk power] why would he do that??" Only to attack into it and get bodied. It's like no one fking reads the damn card.

Wait one moment, i'm thinking.
All their world revolves around duel monster cards, just imagine how many of them are around it's normal not to know all of them(limited edition archetypes, legendary cards, cards op but with ridiculous conditions like zushin).
And probably it's not just one rich person who controls the whole market, we sometime see rich dudes print their own cards or create them, in vrains a literal hot dog cart owner does that.
But the strangest thing is that the main character often gains off screen supports for their legendary cards no one but them own, how the hell did they get those???

The most dangerous monster on the field isn’t always the one with the highest attack.
Number 13: Embodiment of Crime makes it so any battle damage involving that card would be sent to the opponent instead.
Basically the 2 500 atk point XYZ monsters have the effect where if both are on the field they can't be destroyed by battle, you receive no battle damage, and all damage goes to your opponent. Plus if u detach a material your opponents monsters must attack if able and they must attack the 2 XYZ monsters.

He thought it was an activated effect that he could negate with Utopic Draco Future during the damage step. Nothing more to it
JC, people need to read; While one controls both #13 and #31, they can't be destroyed whilst they have material and the opponent takes any battle damage from battles involving them

Beautiful show that shows why you should read all the cards your opponent plays. Basically Number 31 and 13 Combo, when you control both, they can't be destroyed by battle or card effect while they have Material. And any damage you'd take involving battle from them is dealt to the opponent instead. Just beautiful.

I just... can't believe that guy buffed Utopia so much, yet he didn't realize what was in the board. 3 reflecting monsters, 1 that could cause a draw, the Lyrilusc, and 2 that can reflect double the damage taken and those two can't be destroyed by battle.
As a Blue eyes deck user the moment I see number 13 and 31 on the field my first thought is: "Ah yes I remember this pain.... I'll just give ya the win mate peace out."

2:15 that's when he messed up. Bottom-Player had No hand & No back row. Top-player would have had plenty of time to read all cards on the field before going to battle phase & declaring attacks. (I know replay mode is sped up so the actual dueling times would be different. The dude had time to read.)

The numbers 13 and 31 are the perfect match against noobs who can't read cards.
Reflection: If you don't know the card or don't remember its effects, does it cost to spend a few seconds of your turn, (which has up to 8 minutes in Master Duel,) to read?
It's not that player couldn't read. It is that he wanted to lose in the most spectacular way possible.
Being able to read is one thing. Something like this... yikes.
(Then again, comprehending Yu-Gi-Oh cards can be a bit tricky at times.)
Reading it is different than understanding what is written.

@@RinriAlter I will always remember the blue eyes player who had their chaos Max dragon with 4000 attack on the field I attacked it with my raphion that took care of the first half of the life points and then they stupidly attacked on their turn lol.
Which is why I don't attack into those cards. I remove from play first if I can.

A similar experience i had yesterday. A dude went full on out to otk but he made me go 1st and i used 1 day of peace. He then proceed to lost as my Dragunities banished his whole field.

Ya know the funny part? Since the dragonic f0 used its negate, attacking with base Future would have let them take the 13 or 31 if they attacked with it AND gotten game since 13 or 31 isn't on the same side. And if that wasn't game... could have attacked the Lyrulisk with the monster they took or just went m2 for Zeus (Correction, no Zeus using the stolen xyz, future takes until the end of the BP) if they had it then gone Future... so you have, a boardwipe, a negate and steal, and attack negation.
They couldn't as the two 500 monsters stop that with ther effects to force attacks
@@drakofox1362 base f0 takes control of what it battles until the end of the battle phase. And the effects of 13 and 31 require controlling the other to stay immortal

This remind me of match I had in ranked with my cyber dragon deck.....guy was playing think was crusaders or something like dat send stuff to grave equipping a bunch of stuff etc..... i got out everything i needed cyber dragon infinity Chimeratech rampage seiger etc.... he cleared my board but kept 1 overlord fusion as a last resort just in case I needed it n I did was able to bring back infinity get out another rampage n bring back seiger.....got rid of most of his stuff after I got done the guy had 1900 LP left scooped because he didnt read my seiger no player takes battle damage if the effect was used this turn that card was the last to attack lmao

@@TheMauJG so basically When embodiment of crime and embodiment of punishment are on the field at the same time they gain the affect when ever I would take battle Damage my opponent would take it instead. He could have attacked my draco and won but sense I used there affect which makes the opponent have to battle them it was his loss. He could have waited next turn though and made it a draw though if he attack my lyr cause it's affect is my opponent takes damage I take.

It's simple.... they CAN read.... but "CAN" and "WILL" are two different things. Just because they "can" doesn't mean they "will"... in fact they often "don't".

As a main user of a hope deck he could have easily stopped the two by simply summoning 99 and lion to negate 13 or 31.

The swordsoul duelist I fought 2 days ago couldn’t read either. He kept attacking my Vijam and got his monsters stunned. And ultimately rage quit.
I tried swordsoul and its the easiest deck i had but i saw someone missplay this deck its comical

Based on what others have said it seems like having both of the "Embodiment of" Number Monsters on the fields it basically makes them indestructible in battle, and also makes the foe take any battle damage you take. Also they can use an XYZ Material to make the foe attack into them. Basically unless you can use a card effect on em when the two of em are out you're in trouble.

These netdecks are the real reason we are memed for never reading cards. Its really a horrible trend.
