wow.. touching on a multi-billion dollar industry that no one dares to touch due to the sensitivity surrounding the religion and its traditions. Looks legit and refreshing. Can't wait!
Thing is usually religions don’t involve money and some people are bypassers which are called corruptions. And there will be specialized cops to go after them. Religions are freedom of choice and basic human rights
Monk Dol's story is the most compelling. I feel like he is actually the main character of the story
Monk Dol is interesting but definitely not the main character - trying to add a love angle for him is a bit of a distraction and slow down the show imo. It's the friendship and team work of the 3 leads that make this show work.
Religion have become fashion and a business in asia a lot lately, fake temples, fake gurus, fake healers. Not only in Buddhism but in Hinduism, Christian, muslim. Finally a show that might work as a lil bit of awareness
in Vietnam the goverment controls that , and use those temple to money laundering

Really hope there will be a season 2 for this series!! I didn't expect a Thai series on NF touching on a much sensitive topic that revolves around religion and a multi-billion industry, revealing the facts in such a binge-worthy and thrilling way. Especially when humans use it for their greed, even the least expected "virtuous and sacred" beings would turn out to be different - going against those teachings. Truly DARK, REAL & EYEOPENING
YALL SHOULD WATCH THIS. I finished this in one sitting because each ep will leave you hanging! The story is realistic- you’ll be surprised on how the show ends.

@@choisanismineIt's a fraudulent receipt. The protagonist's father who disappeared also used to do business with the temple like the protagonist. I think He probably worked for the female politician who came out at the end of the story.

I loved this! I was hooked immediately and finished the whole show in a day, I really hope they approve a second season. It’s nice to see some good bingeworthy Thai shows on Netflix after this and ready set love

how many monk are clean in this 'business'? I mean in US, some priest really do understand their wealth and use it on public (watches, clothes, car etc)
Not all the monks are corrupted but there are lot of monks got corrupted in similar process. They are more cunning than priests that use them on watches and clothes. Yeah some monks like that uses premium kind of robes/slipers/vehicles(lately it's bit low cuz getting ). They more invest them on politicians or real estate, shares or healthy food bussinesses through helpers.Most of those helpers are not monks normal people that helps in usual festival or normal processes.
Where i live(i'm not a thai) if monks don't adhere into those helpers ideas will more like get kicked out from the temple or will get accused for sex crimes or negligence of duties of monks.(And again not all the temples are like that. But there are some places like that.

Spoiler ahead: This could have a been a perfect limited series if they have kept the focus on the main plot. Instead, they try so hard to add a big final boss just so that there is a reason for Season 2 to exist. I'm talking about the drug plot and the drug lord. Very frustrating but I understand that multiple seasons are where the money is. That's why sometimes I prefer to watch a standalone film which has more focus to the plot rather than setting up for another 3 4 seasons.
