- This video was inspired by the idea of a coming out story, but by the end, I realized it was more of my coming out journey! It's a compilation of my early years grappling with my sexuality, the process of coming, as well as what I've learned along the way and a reflection of my experiences! This is my story from the POV of a latino who: immigrated to the US from Mexico, lived in a Catholic household, and grew up in a very latino dominated community pre-college.
It being more of a "journey" of me coming to terms with my sexuality and eventually fully embracing it over the course of my life, the Video is rather long. I've gone ahead and marked some helpful time stamps below that may help you navigate the vide to sections you may be more interested in hearing about!

I Doubt you will see this , But Your Coming Out Video, was filled with Strength & True Pride ! I hear so many videos saying how difficult it is ( and it's not easy) But I am probably your parents age , similar situation, and I Came Out in 1980 when I was 15yrs old. I was part of the generation who protested for our rights and Glad to hear your story !
Beautiful story. Thank you for the detail and nuance. Everyone’s experience is different. I went through much the same relationship with my parents in the eighties if you’d an believe it! We did not communicate about my gay life after I came out to them in my early twenties. Dad was compassionate, which was a surprise as he was macho, and mom was not surprisingly when I came out and we were very close. Dad never talked about it again until he passed way. Mom talks about it with me only now when she is 82! But they were never negative or nonsupportive with me about it.
I admire your courage which I don't have. Congrats & Good job! so from now on, you can live your life happily with a peace of mind !!!

I come from a Muslim family, being LGBT is one of the most difficult things. I can somewhat understand what you are going through because my Spouse who is Latino had a not so easy coming out story, but his family came around. Both of my exes who are Latino as well, one who is Mexican had easier times coming out to their respected families. I have family in the Bay Area. Unfortunately, in my religion and culture being a member of the LGBT community isn’t widely accepted. I admire you and I can tell you are at a good place in life, I envy you, just remember you have inspired me. Props man!

Hey great video I am so grateful that guys your age and younger are making videos like this!!! However I would ask you to rephrase one situation : you don’t hurt anyone, by coming out. People react as they want, and their choice of reaction is not your doing.

I was able to marry my 1st girlfriend and have two children but after 8 years I told my wife and 35 years later we are still married, but I did have experiences and it was the most awesome time of my life! I wouldn't say you have hurt anyone by coming out. If someone has hurt feelings over you coming it it's their problem, not yours.
The only person I think you could have hurt is your friend who you fooled around with and telling him you wouldn't say anything about it, and then mentioning it in a TH-cam video.

I'm a male and it's so hard to do this. I've wanted to for so very long. I don't know what people will think of me but, I'm going to be brave and just be myself no matter what anyone thinks of it. Whhheewww, ok here we go ... I like girls! Please don't think I'm a bad person. I can't help myself. Maybe someday my family will see me in a different light. But for now I'm just going to have to hold on. Please pray for me ...
