Clarko definitely got out coached by Macfly. Collingwood played a great 2nd half of footy and top it of with one the greatest come from behind wins. 😊

I know it's not the point, but the fact that Daicos already needs a permanent tag to contain, along with other guns like Harley Reid and Errol Gulden is so fantastic for the game. As players like Bont get older, there is this up and coming group of stars ready to roll in.

It was more than Will Phillips (but that was moronic), he ran first gamer Teague in the ruck at a crucial time benched Wardlaw and Xerri. North lost all structure in the last quarter as the midfield was fatally modified by Alaistair Clarkson. And if you are going to bring someone off the bench then let it not be the lazy Jaidyn Stephenson who gives you zero defensive effort. A game lost by North not won by Collingwood.

Everybody going on about the free kick. He still has to kick it and the Pies would have responded anyway, they do what they have to to win IMO. In reality the Roos played exceptional footy kicking the highest score against the Pies in a long time. The Pies haters will always whinge about something but they play a good brand and this game was considered one of the best in a while. Everybody is a winner IMO

I know the fifty should have been paid, but the media and the fans have been banging on for the past couple weeks about in the last little bit the umpires should just swallow the whistle? Like guys let’s keep it consistent with what we want here. I know every non Collingwood fan is pissy because we won, but wtf do you want?
umpires should call the game properly. The frees last week were a joke, and now they put the whistle away and made even worse mistakes. All comes back to the AFL and the umpiring.
Fair and correct umpiring. Daicos got a 50 for not getting the footy for a couple seconds vs two players encroaching the mark by 10m. The most obvious one not paid.
@@user-rk6nn8gh9idaicos 50 was warranted. Powell didn’t even need to pick the ball up as the ball was already at daicos feet, but Powell picks it up and runs away with it.
@@Comatosedpeanut not disputing that. But if you pay Daicos you must pay Scott's. It's a big mistake on the umpires part. The umpiring in general was ordinary for the whole game, North won a htb in the F50 in the 1st half and Collingwood ran away with the footy and the same Umpire called advantage to Collingwood. Wasn't a great day at the office for the 4 of them let's be honest!

there's no logic in this argument. If it happened to Norf when they were winning and Pies didn't get the free, would it be right? Pies fans wouldn't say so. Norf won the first half, Pies the second. The game was in the balance. Umpires give a 50 for the most innocuous things. This was 2 Pies places invading the mark and in his face lol. Also the Naicos non-handball. Should've had 2 frees and Norf win.

I agree the 50 was probably there but did you forget at 4 mins to go howe takes Mark at 50 and pushed 15 metres that was 50 that ends the game and it doesn't even get to that point at 2 mins to go
I mean they missed a HTB and a super obvious 50m in the dying mins.

It was pretty obvious he was playing on then changed his mind when he saw the 2 Pie players coming... and was it even a mark? travelled about 8 mtrs.

He kicked it when he was still inline with (or behind) the centre square. The mark is taken 1.5 grass divisions away and on an angle. No possible way that is 8 meters. Closer to 20 than 15.
@@moose6494 The actual distance doesn't matter because it was only 1 of 2 contributing factors. 1: the short length produced a grey area for all 3 players and the ump. 2: Scott keeps running after the mark but it's sideways because he's not sure if it's a mark and he's now running off his mark, when he sees the Pie players he stops and backs up trying to give the impression he wasn't trying to play on and the ump gives both sides the benefit of the doubt because of all the confusion, pretty simple really if you watch the replay of it.
AFL will send out their usual “oopsies, we got it wrong, sorry about that” if North are lucky. Umpires will give a 50 if a defender moves a toe on the mark, but not the clearest mark infringement you’ll ever see. Smh. Umpiring is cooked.
They'll have to cover the 3 they got wrong that gifted 3 goals to North then
@@steve8510they always get things wrong but that non 50 was obvious and the umpire would have paid it every time at any other point in the game but froze in the dying seconds. There is a good spot for him in the VFL

@@bernierossi8062 It wasn't obvious or he would have paid it, he saw what I saw, the guy kept running after the mark off his line then quickly changed the angle when he saw the Pie players coming and tried to stooge the ump he wasn't playing on, the angle was borderline but the intent wasn't so the ump had an each way bet and brought it back, it should have been play on.
