That hairstylist just lied to her face. Curly hair takes way more time and maintenance than straight hair. She doesn't know what she's signing up for. And shes going to have to keep getting perms as her hair grows
@Kyla Depends, I have some sort of um "special" type of hair, it's straight with some waves and hard change colors, going from a little bit dark brown to straight up blonde depending on how I care for it, I have to wash my hair at least two times every shower with different shampoos and for some reason I have to constantly change shampoos because after a while they darken my hair. I also need conditioner sometimes to make it look better but sometimes I'm too lazy to put it on. I have to wash it everyday and it's really tiring, when I don't wash it for 2-3 days it looks really ugly and when I finally shower I have to wash it first with soap to get rid of all of the grease (incredibly greasy hair) and then at least 3 times with shampoo. I also have a horrendous frizzy hair and it's the worse I've ever seen, I need to use creams for styling and brushing and I still get frizz and have to brush my hair like once every hour for it to calm down. I also have to wait for it to dry itself because if I heat-dry it, it becomes dark, same when I iron it. That means that I have to shower before sleeping if I need to be ready the next day at 6:00 and put it in a bun so it doesn't dry completely and I get to style it in the morning. I'm supposed to get treatment for the grease but I don't want to waste money and I feel like first going to a professional hairdresser to ask what the fuck is going on with my hair because all this care is tiring. My curly friend does almost the time, except washing every single time every day and she always used heat and has a really healthy hair nonetheless, and she doesn't have to worry about color because she is a really dark brown and beautiful defined curls. Just for context, I'm not Caucasian (white) nor black, just like my friends with curly defined hair, they also don't have African.
I think she just wanted some texture in her hair. With the perm she can “ wash & go “ and still have a flirty look. All she needs is a good leave in conditioner and a holding product after the wash, scrunch upside down, let it air dry throughout the day and boom! A cute and simple style.
Completely agree! I have four kids and I always felt like I never had time to style my hair. After getting a curly perm I feel it always looks like at least made an effort to do my hair. Curly hair does take more time but as long as you’re caring for it you’re good to go. I apply leave it conditioner, curling cream, scrunch and let air dry and I’m good for a few days until my next wash day. In the mornings all I do it spritz hair a bit with warm water add refresher spray if needed and my hair looks much better than when I had my natural straight hair
This is a great eoutine, but she needs to find the right products, stop drying with towels and get a satin or silk pillowcase or scarf and probably a Denman brush. She has no idea what she is doing. It's really not that hard to do, but learning it isnt simple.
From the before shots it looked like she had old grown out highlights and when you perm hair that’s been previously lightened with bleach it makes the hair look and feel very over processed. I’m assuming they used a perm for “color treated” hair thinking it might be okay but as soon as they took out those rods her hair was probably stringy as hell and that’s why they cut it off. That’s just my assumption though.
Seriously. I have 4 and my husband was in the military when they were small so he wasn't able to as much as we would have liked. I still did my hair and makeup for me. It is possible. I did it with a 6 y/o, 2 y/o and infant twins.
Its your whole life when they're toddlers. It will change once their bigger. I have to wash my hair, run back to my baby and shower the body at a later time. Thats the life but it aint bad and when your kids are older you can relax more.
The hair looks dry and rough because of the perm. It changes your chemical balance but it also in a way is likr hair dye. It is extremely dangerous and will strip your hair of everything it once had.
I don’t wanna be rude like no offense but she sounds like one of those girls that don’t stop talking about her being a mom and her kids every five seconds it’s because of my kids I can’t do this I can’t do that like oh my God shut up
Why are you so bothered. Leave her alone. I may not want children but I love them and if I found my dream guy got married I would brag about my kids too
why can’t you act the same for yet people for base their whole personality on jobs, careers, or things of that sort? there’s literally no difference, y’all are weird.
@@jojoandsuri1 First of all I never said she was bragging I said she’s all she does is talk about her kids if you want to hang out with people that all they do is talk about their kids bio means but I am entitled to my own opinion
As someone who has gotten a perm once a year for 10 years, I can honestly say having permed, curly hair is far easier to style than my previous frizzy, straight hair. I can't speak for the maintenance of natural curly hair though, but I hear it's far more difficult. Before I had to straighten it or curl it so it had some definition. It also got flat and oily so quickly. With a perm, I throw curl defining product in my hair and walk out the door. It keeps my hair from getting oily as quickly and it keeps the volume. I love how low maintenance it is!!
Jennifer Aguirre yep. I have 3 kids two of them grown now. It’s called time management. I was always able to make myself up unless I was sick. If kids are small enough to be home all day then yes they take naps. If they are older they go to school. Lazy people always find an excuse
I'm not a hair person but my guess is they were cutting off dead ends and if you have seen a curly girl with straightened hair curls take off a significant length of hair so my guess is a combo of cutting of dead ends and the curls themselves making the hair a lot shorter
I had perfect hair and was talked into a perm. They burned it. It turned orange. I waited 2 days and it went into a 2 ft Afro. I am white. Had hair with a slight wave. I worked in a fashion store and my sup said you have to do something with it. It had been down to my bra strap. Now i cut it into a pixie. Thank God it grows fast. My mom laughed so hard. She kept saying I had virgin hair. And I paid someone to ruin it. But it was the 80’s.
Thing is curly hair looks good if you don't take care of it. Try not using any products on curly hair, not even brush or comb, for a week or two, and do the same with straight hair. Straight hair will look like haystacks while curly hair will still look decent.
@@1tubax let me ask, do you have curly hair? Because I do, and my hair will become frizzy matted and look rough if I dont do anything with it for one week, let alone two. Straight hair also doesnt need to specifically look for "straight hair" products, and they dont have to worry about their hair looking frizzy, just brush through it, add a little bit of oil, or water. But with curly hair you cannot do that. Im not saying stright hair is easy, but it sure is a lot easier than curly hair. Just simply look up curly hair routine and hair routine and see how they differ. Sorry for the essay but I thought this should be said.
@@normalman7846 I have 2c hair so wavy-curly. Only thing worse for curly hair is that if you mess up styling it when its wet you have to rewet it and begin from the beginning. I brush my hair once every two weeks and detangle it with my fingers every 2 days in the shower. After the shower, I just add a little bit of gel and oil and leave in cream. Voila
@ThatOne I never said any hair type was easy, don't get me wrong everyone has problems with their hair, but getting a perm when you are lazy will only increase the amount of care necessary
I've had curls my whole life...I am now 35, no kids yet, and I STILL haven't figured out how to manage my hair... this poor woman. The important thing is that she feels better about herself 💯
Someone straightens their hair People: oh wowww Someone curls them People: stupid, that's gonna take a lot of time For God's sake, leave the choice to them, it's their hair, if they love it, that's it!
I mean she's basically complaining because she washes her hair and that's it, when you have curly hair takes actual time for you to take care and style it, trust me I have natural curly hair. She's just not making sense at all 🤷🏻♀️
I've had a 'modern perm'. It was THE most demanding thing I've ever done to my hair. The amount of conditioning is required to look good was ridiculous, and using a hairdryer was just out of the question unless I wanted to look like a poodle. It was better after having it for like 2-3 months when it had gone down enough that the curls weren't as unmanageable. Just in case anyone watching this got inspired by the 'so easy, so fast' promises. It's not like that for everyone.
They really got rid of all her length, so sad. My hair is extremely long too, I would of started crying in the middle of the salon. You could tell she was also feeling bad about it.
I'm a mom there's lots of moms out there, I never understood why some moms say they never have time for anything. Yes it's hard but it's not impossible to take care of yourself.
@@lunaA1313 she didn’t have to repeat it a second time 😭 poor kids, they’ll have to live with the fact their mother couldn’t shower or take care of herself anymore and it’s all their fault for being born but she did have time to make a video of herself swishing her hair around and preening for the camera 🤷🏻♀️
I’m a mom but when I don’t style my hair I ain’t blaming my kid I just blame my lazy self cause I’m straight up lazy when it comes to hairstyles lmao 😂
For everyone saying curly hair is harder, perms are much different than naturally curly hair. perms air dry in ringlets, you don’t really need to scrunch or diffuse (although this hairdresser diffused) perms are actually so easy
I love the results! It suits her so well! But idk if she has ever actually talked to someone with naturally curly hair because it is ten times more time-consuming than naturally straight hair so if ease is her goal, I don't think she'll be super pleased in the long run
I hate it when moms talk about their kids in a way that it seems like the kids ruined their life. Like even though it can be overwhelming at times but please having kids isn't a personality.
@KameradSohn true, but both men and women have a responsibility in that, not only the women. And taking that responsibility after havinf kids is quite hard work. Whether you support having children morally can not take away from that. Personally I don’t want kids.
"All the moms will agree...I take a shower once every 2 or 3 days." Uh. No. Also a mom, homeschooler, business owner, wife, friend, etc here and I find the 5 mins to shower daily.
@@AD-cy4vjagreed. She probably is. But I think most of us are. The stress gets worse when we don't take care of our basic needs like showering, brushing our teeth, eating semi healthy, some exercise, etc. My main point of commenting wasn't to shame her because I don't think she reads these anyway, but to say to other moms that it doesn't have to be this way and this isn't normal. It's a sign of depression. I hope other people who feel this way reach out for help and don't just accept it.

True.. but a perm isn't as difficult to take care of as natural curly hair.
I think she just wanted some texture in her hair. With the perm she can “ wash & go “ and still have a flirty look. All she needs is a good leave in conditioner and a holding product after the wash, scrunch upside down, let it air dry throughout the day and boom! A cute and simple style.
Xxx.
Movi. Pakist
It's Tabaitha what do you recommend as a good leave in conditioner
Completely agree! I have four kids and I always felt like I never had time to style my hair. After getting a curly perm I feel it always looks like at least made an effort to do my hair.
Curly hair does take more time but as long as you’re caring for it you’re good to go. I apply leave it conditioner, curling cream, scrunch and let air dry and I’m good for a few days until my next wash day. In the mornings all I do it spritz hair a bit with warm water add refresher spray if needed and my hair looks much better than when I had my natural straight hair
Yes!
This is a great eoutine, but she needs to find the right products, stop drying with towels and get a satin or silk pillowcase or scarf and probably a Denman brush. She has no idea what she is doing. It's really not that hard to do, but learning it isnt simple.
y’all, let her live 😭 we saw seven whole minutes of her life, no need to go off on her! we’ve all been a little cringe before 👀
GIRL RIGHT? What happened to women supporting women. Sheesh
Thank you!!
@@survivingval it’s kind of hard when they’re blatantly lying 🤥 to our faces 😳
She's not cringe, she seemed sweet.
People are too judgy and definitely have a superiority complex.
2 toddlers, are you kidding me?
why did they.. cut it all off ???
I know I thought it'd be cool to see long curly hair
From the before shots it looked like she had old grown out highlights and when you perm hair that’s been previously lightened with bleach it makes the hair look and feel very over processed. I’m assuming they used a perm for “color treated” hair thinking it might be okay but as soon as they took out those rods her hair was probably stringy as hell and that’s why they cut it off. That’s just my assumption though.
Less hair = lighter curls with more bounce maybe?
Curls always make your hair look shorter. Straight, my hair is past my waist but the curl in it pulls it up just below my shoulders
BECAUSE the stylist does NOT know how to LISTEN.
Brad mondo would be screaming over how they did it
😂😂 I love Brad 💗
Yes, we need Brad to react to this! 😂
That’s what I was thinking
Who still watches him.. liar liar
That’s the first thing that popped in my head🤣
Why does she act like showering takes 5 hours
ikr! Like hun you can’t blame everything on your kids
Clarisse D’Costa 😂
Try leaving 2 toddlers alone while showering, it really feels like 5 hours
Try it with 2 toddlers.... good luck!
Haha it's so obvious when people have no children, you have no idea what 2 Toddlers can do in five minutes
Every second you save is precious
If she tells us she doesn't have time because of her kids ONE MORE TIME
SMH She was sooooo unrelatable and getting on my nerves, making out having children takes over everything!
Seriously. I have 4 and my husband was in the military when they were small so he wasn't able to as much as we would have liked. I still did my hair and makeup for me. It is possible. I did it with a 6 y/o, 2 y/o and infant twins.
Life's Journey like honestly. I am not a mother myself, but i hope that when I do become a mom it is not my whole personality
Clearly she's not managing it as well as she could I'm pregnant with my 4th and I'm not dead everyday
Andrea Burke you don’t know her situation, it might be easier for you than it is for her.
Really don’t understand why she had to chop off 6 inches of her hair but okay....
That's my whole entire head 💀
Exactly
I think it was damaged or she told them to do so I Think!
She said she hoped to have a style like kate hudson (literally shown in the video). she must be really aiming for a big chop
Well i mean true but also curly hair makes it appear shorter
I cringed when she said 400 times that she’s a mom.
Some people love their kids
@@patronsttroll5712 k but pretty sure we all got the memo

Its your whole life when they're toddlers. It will change once their bigger. I have to wash my hair, run back to my baby and shower the body at a later time. Thats the life but it aint bad and when your kids are older you can relax more.
It was a little much at the end lol
Am I the only one who doesn't like it? Her hair look dry and rough
Curls aren't defined either
@@infinity-gn9xq defined curls arent "in" these days. People like the beach wave look. However, the stylist did brush out 75% of her curls.
The hair looks dry and rough because of the perm. It changes your chemical balance but it also in a way is likr hair dye. It is extremely dangerous and will strip your hair of everything it once had.
It looked like that before cause she didn't have time to take care of it
it’s because she brushed it out... this gave me motivation to keep trying with my curly hair and not to perm it
I have a strong feeling those curls wont last long at all. They look dry and weird.
fr tho they didn't even look like they were done right lol
I don’t wanna be rude like no offense but she sounds like one of those girls that don’t stop talking about her being a mom and her kids every five seconds it’s because of my kids I can’t do this I can’t do that like oh my God shut up
Because it’s true.
That’s how having toddlers work.
Why are you so bothered. Leave her alone. I may not want children but I love them and if I found my dream guy got married I would brag about my kids too
@@jojoandsuri1 she’s not bragging whatsoever 💀
why can’t you act the same for yet people for base their whole personality on jobs, careers, or things of that sort? there’s literally no difference, y’all are weird.
Do you still perm your hair? Would you be willing to share pictures?? I'm really considering a perm and I wanna know the results others have gotten
Omg “no time to braid her hair” give me a BREAK🙄
Amber Pamber right? Kids sleep! Lol
I know! It'll take much longer to deal with the curls
Right ! Like even the neediest of kid will go eat or watch TV and sleep for at least 10 min lol
Jennifer Aguirre yep. I have 3 kids two of them grown now. It’s called time management. I was always able to make myself up unless I was sick. If kids are small enough to be home all day then yes they take naps. If they are older they go to school. Lazy people always find an excuse
Amber Pamber I have a kid I get everything some plus hair care of her and still have me time 😂
“Curly hair has liberated my time in the morning” 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 my 7 step hair routine for my curls disagrees
“I got a perm for the first time”
halfway into the video: talks about having a perm when she was a kid
She just wanted a perm but they cut her hair and now it’s shoulder length? 😰😟
My hair stylists never listened when i said ‘i don’t want my hair any shorter’
Amanda G time for a new stylist girl! Facts.
I'm not a hair person but my guess is they were cutting off dead ends and if you have seen a curly girl with straightened hair curls take off a significant length of hair so my guess is a combo of cutting of dead ends and the curls themselves making the hair a lot shorter
Adilene Garcia getting my hair done is like a gambling which i have never won once.
TheTrappedinahouse but when you ask the stylists to cut off the dead ends they cut off like 10 freaking centimeters long. smh.
Idk why people are complaining about it being shorter...it looks great, full of energy, and she looks younger and happier with it! Looks beautiful
How come people have like two waves on their hair and they call it curly lol

Bruh her hair looked so much better before🤦🏽♀️
I had perfect hair and was talked into a perm.
Right she looks so bad now smh.
Yes, but she looked younger and happier. I think that's what counts
“I don’t wanna spend time on my hair so I’m gonna get a perm to make it more high maintenance”
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Actually those curls really fit her, don't know what y'all complaining about
It’s so funny that she came in with like long long hair and the lady is like I’ll cut it to give volume she frkn left her with a lob😂😂😂😂

Someone curls them
People: stupid, that's gonna take a lot of time
For God's sake, leave the choice to them, it's their hair, if they love it, that's it!
That's so true 😄👍🏻
I mean she's basically complaining because she washes her hair and that's it, when you have curly hair takes actual time for you to take care and style it, trust me I have natural curly hair.
She's just not making sense at all 🤷🏻♀️
These kind of comments deserve k likes not the judgemental ones.
yea but she’s acting like getting curly hair will be easier than having straight hair 💀💀
I don't understand this comparison. People are simply commenting on the fact that curly hair is not low maintenance.
Welcome to the life of a curly girl
They really got rid of all her length, so sad. My hair is extremely long too, I would of started crying in the middle of the salon. You could tell she was also feeling bad about it.

It’s SO SHORT! I was dyingggg

why do all of these hair transformations look so bad 😭😭
They don't
Right
Looked way better before she did all that razor started brushing
Not all of them but this one is..... not it
“Get up and go”....PFFFF HA SIS YOU WISH!
For everyone saying curly hair is harder, perms are much different than naturally curly hair. perms air dry in ringlets, you don’t really need to scrunch or diffuse (although this hairdresser diffused) perms are actually so easy
I'm sure she's got her hands full, but a simple braid takes no time to do, and the perm seems like it'll be higher maintenance.
I thought you weren’t supposed to brush out the curls after the perm cuz they are still forming....
yeah...
Yah and she didn’t ask for a lob
I love the results! It suits her so well! But idk if she has ever actually talked to someone with naturally curly hair because it is ten times more time-consuming than naturally straight hair so if ease is her goal, I don't think she'll be super pleased in the long run

I hate it when moms talk about their kids in a way that it seems like the kids ruined their life. Like even though it can be overwhelming at times but please having kids isn't a personality.
Having 2 kids is a fulltime, underappreciated, unpaid fulltime job. Give your fellow women some slack.
@KameradSohn true, but both men and women have a responsibility in that, not only the women. And taking that responsibility after havinf kids is quite hard work. Whether you support having children morally can not take away from that.
Personally I don’t want kids.
"How Not To Get a Perm...", fixed the title for you. You are welcome 😊.
can we talk about how clean her skin is omg
"All the moms will agree...I take a shower once every 2 or 3 days." Uh. No. Also a mom, homeschooler, business owner, wife, friend, etc here and I find the 5 mins to shower daily.
I thought I heard her wrong and she was talking about how often she washes her hair. Thats pretty gross to shower only a couple times a week.
I was worried because i wanna be a mom too but i was like omg does that mean being a mom you can never ever have time for yourself?!
She's stressed out
@@AD-cy4vjagreed.
