Their new lead singer sounds just like him. Steve Perry had a similar singing style as Sam Cooke, but created his own flair. I would advise the new Journey singer to develope his own flair, because he can definitely sing!

I have loved this man since the 70’s. His incredibly gifted voice and heartfelt emotional & soulfulness puts him in a realm beyond all others. Not only talented but real and down to earth as a person. He is the best of the best and sings like an Angel. He has obviously divine inspiration from above.

the thing most missed is his mom, a singer herself, probably gave Steve more vocal training that any school could do and as a singer if you watch him singing live look at his posture, his concentration when and while singing especially his posture in every move on stage. any singer who has been trained even a little, can relate that posture, breath, and can be seen in every live video on TH-cam - take a look at the videos on TH-cam - the LIVE ones and watch his singing posture - you'll see
