This is the kind of talent that moves my heart, pure and simple gifted brilliance, that gives me hope for the human race in these dark times. More please.
Bria is an incredible musician and her knowledge of the history of the music and musicians is also pretty awesome. She seems to have knowledge beyond her years...
So refreshing to see such an amazingly lyrical singer, and she's not doing the whole marble-mouth-affectation thing that so many singer are falling into now. To say nothing of the soulful horn playing! Love this.
I saw this band live literally yesterday. They were INCREDIBLE. Every member brought life to the music, every note and rhythm. Instant fan! And Skonberg is an iron lady... Lady with iron lungs!!!
I have been in love with Bria since I first discovered her and her Mighty Aphrodite classic trad jazz, all female 7 piece ensemble about 12 years ago. She was barely out of high school. I have since been thrilled to have seen and met with her on two occasions, about a year apart, when she was on tour in the Tampa Bay area. She actually remembered me on the second occasion, from the previous year. Awesome! Her story on the etymology of "Stardust" is amazing. Ask her! Her reedman, Evan Arntzen, is also excellent and sang "Stardust" better than I had ever heard - and I'm 82!! She's beautiful musically and physically; and totally humble and without affectations.

Thank you. Have been listening for years. First time seeing her perform.
Tight band too. 👍
So tight, clean and FUN!
what is it that makes me cry over well performed Jazz tunes?!
I love not only the music but also the lyrics - most of them come with a sense of irony.
AR; Did she write all her songs here then?
man, her voice (talking and singing) reminds me and bringing back the vibes of all the greats, Peggy Lee, DIanne Schuur, even Julie London.
LOVE HER.

I did an opening solo set before she and Benny Benack III did an amazing show. A great talent both as a singer and trumpeter.
