Or the proper name, as used in Australia, where they come from, is Bouble-barred Finch. They are a finch with a "nice" personality, rarely aggressive with any other birds. In the wild they tend to live in small flocks. I see them sometimes in the bush around my home. Like most finches, they have strong pair bonds.
@@kingbee17able I think both you and I know that your opinion regarding the common name of this finch is not the rude part of your comment. Feel free to call it whatever you wish; I also call it a double-bar when I'm in Australia.
@Rei Naoki Face is nothing like an owl owl's have eyes that face foward binocular vision double bars have eyes on the side of there head wings well double bars wings aren't as soft as an owls wings and aren't silent when they fly so you are wrong on both counts.
They move like they're in a really choppy stop-motion cartoon

Can they life with canaries??
I've never kept canaries so I can't be sure. Canaries are much larger, but I think it would be ok in an aviary or in a very large cage.
@@DragonsOfAra yeah, I was also thinking about an aviary not a small cage. I think they can
I have kept them with canaries.
@@philipveerman7526 cool!! Did you name them!?
yes, but cage will be 1 cubic feet min for each pair
Don't see how people can call them owl finches look nothing like an owl you all need glasses if they look like owls to you.
Thanks for the rude comment. It seems being anonymous on the Internet allows people to show their true ugly self.
@@DragonsOfAra Nothing rude about it they are double bar finches and are not an owl of any type.
